Our office doesn't have caller ID so I have to answer every call.  This guy keeps calling for 1 atty here. Says his name is Mr. Davis.  Won't leave a message & keeps calling back! What a jerk.

It's not that simple when you are a business.  Customers call here with all sorts of different numbers.  We can't just ignore the calls.

A man identifying himself as Jason Sanders called and asked to speak with the attorney by first name. This is a red flag. When I asked what it was regarding he became rude and said he was from Knowles, "she knows who I am".  I pressed for more information and he said "obviously you do not know who I am and this is getting far to difficult, I'll just email her".  Well there you go, a telemarketer.  

Woman called the office today and asked to speak to the owner or person in charge of the OECA and/or OCEA in the company; presenting herself as some sort of enforcement.  She would did leave a call back number of 817-838-0579 and the caller ID only showed "FORT WORTH TX" with the same number.

C'mon folks... why go crazy over these calls?

When you see a caller ID you do not recognize...

A man called asking for the attorney, said he was with Knowles Publishing, atty was not in but gave him the option to send us an email. He got upset and said angrily " Oh man.... I'll just call back when they are in" then he hung up. Very rude person.

The usual from these scammers -- no message; no caller id; no name; no pick up upon return call.  Isn't technology wonderful?  And so are the crooks who exploit it with their lies.  Just pathetic....

Just received a call and the woman asked to speak to the owner by his first name only, which put me on alert.  I said he was not available.  She then asked if she could speak to someone else regarding personnel.  I inquired who she was and she said it was regarding wanting to send him the latest employee information regarding the Federal government.  I did not continue the conversation. Probably wanting to sell employee labor complicance posters.

Called but did not leave a message.  From other posts I can see why.  Probably going through bar directories and making cold calls.

"Jim Johnson" from Knowles called from this number. When I told him to hold while I got my boss on the phone he hung up.

817-838-0579 is Knowles Publishing Company, Waco, TX.  If they operate today like they used to, if you buy 1 book from them, they put you on a mailing list and send you every new book they come out with like the one you purchased.  Such conduct meets the definition of a gift as defined by the Federal Trade Commission so if you receive one, you get to keep it.  I did.

10/24/2013  They called me today--I was leaving a message for someone I called.  When I got back to them [him], he had hung up like he was in a great big hurry.

I called the number back and even though I had to repeat the name to the woman who answered (she kinda slurred it when I called with a blocked number because she obviously know why I was calling) she verified it was Knowles Publishing.
