I received 7 calls within 8 hours from this number today--they left no message any of the times.  this is the definition of illegal PHONE HARASSMENT!

Keeps calling today over three phone calls in just today. Finally answered their call and no one said anything when I answered.

I called them back asked to be removed , they said no problem and did it on the spot (:)

Same thing happened to me.  She said  hello, called my name, and asked if i could hear her, then she said my name again.  Weird. I don't have time for these calls.

Received a call at 11 pm at night !!!! Quit calling we don't  want whatever your giving away  or trying to sell!!!

We started getting calls from this number today which I did not answer, but instead looked up the number on this site first.  I'm sure you can imagine how surprised I was when they called again.  I answered the call because I'm hoping that will cause them to stop calling me.  The caller let me know that I had won the $50 WM gift card.  He asked if he was really speaking to Justanothernumber9, probably to get me used to saying the word "yes".  He then told me he had to record our conversation for my protection, and could he have my permission to start recording.  Again I said yes but without using the "yes" word.  Then he said he had to confirm that I was over 18 years of age, and asked me in what year was I born.  I told him that was not public information so he said goodbye.  So don't call me unless you want to talk to a weirdo.

        I received dozens of calls from this number over a 2 day period. The first time I answered it. They told me will get a 50 dollar gift card from Walmart. Do not believe them. I work for Walmart. This must be a scam.

number has called my home number 2 times in 35 minutes. i called the number back and they will not tell me who they are.

now i just received 2 calls from 0118179168040 and it is the same this is stupid what the #$%# do they think that no one cares if they have to pay all these long distance fees for crap!

I am sick of this 3 times today this # has called my cell phone.  it is rediculous and i am on the no call list how do you get them to stop calling it should be illegal!

Have received two calls today from this number.  Both times they asked for a "Myra"  Told both times they have the wrong number.  Lots of background noise.  I have had my number for 15yrs.  The person doesn't sound like a kid, but who knows these days.

I've been getting phone calls from this number day after day. I don't answer it but it is making me mad. For those of you that have cell phones. Go to Google Play Store and search for the app callled "Current Caller ID". It is a free app, and I think thay there is a paid version of it too. It doesn't always show the name of the caller, but if you are getting non stop calls from 817-916-8040 like I have. Download the app and then you can block the number. End of the problem. I hope this will help you all.

Received call on Sunday @ 9:31p.m. informed them it was after 9pm, they continued to state that I had won a $15 Walmart gift card.  I had to tell them 3 times it was after 9pm and they wanted me to verify my email address.  I reminded them again about the time then I hung up.

Got a call from 1-817-916-8040, caller ID said it was from Fort Worth
Indian sounding woman asked for me by name. Said I won a $50 Walmart card.asked my zip code to verify I was the right person and then hung up saying the program didn't include my zip code. Must have been a scam.I seem to remember being offered a Walmart card by Publishers Clearing House a few days prior. I mentioned it to my wife and she said she had 2 calls from the same number earlier..

I just got a call from this number. They said I won a $ 50 Walmart gift card. They also said all I have to do is sign up at a cost of $3.97 a week. I pushed the subject and asked questions back. The Company says they are Smart retailing Savings Club. This company offers contests, Walmart GC being one. I straight out asked her a few times: So your saying I have to sign up and pay 3.97 a week to recieve the GC. Finally I told her this is a Yes or No answer, I repeated the question and she said Yes.
I then told her it was illegal in Canada to charge a fee for winning a contest. Told her to take my name off her list and I hung up.

I've got phone calls from this texas number multiple times sometimes one after the other.

If you have given your # out to any ads on Publishers Clearing House...this may be the reason your getting all of these calls....I know it started after I did...like a dummy!

I'm getting the same calls from this number every hour.  About 2 hours ago, i started getting a call from another number now at the same time.  Haven't answered it but there has to be a way to block these numbers from coming in.

This number called my canadian cell phone... Im in Alberta and Im sick of these calls... i called the number back to give someone a blast of you know what and the voice on the other end said `` you are the only party in this conference`` so I hung up.... WEIRD

This number has been calling me numerous times each day.  Most recently they called last night at least 15 times over the course of the evening and ALL night up until 7 in the morning. It is annoying  enough during the day, but at night when I am trying to sleep but can't because the phone calls are constantly waking me up, it's just frustrating.  Is there any way to stop this from happening?

I've received this call at 3:37 from Fort Worth, TX with fforeign accent (Indu) asking my name, and than they hang up, makes me feel so mad!

I've been getting calls from this number NUMEROUS times a day and other numbers.
They never leave a damn message. Except ONCE, this stupid girl talked to my voicemail for almost
5 minutes asking for me and saying hello...really? I'm getting livid!

i have been getting calls from this number since Saturday!!! i don't answer and they will not leave a message!!! how can i stop these calls? i am getting from 2 other numbers also!

i just ignore the call but it rings in the next ten minutes over and over,they leave no message

This is unreal, AGAIN and AGAIN, 5 phone calls from this company in the last week, no messages left.  I'm on the National DO NOT CALL LIST and I still get numerous calls this is getting so old, I'm ready to drop all phone services.. I'm just really getting tired of this.
