rec'd a call at lunch time.  Didn't answer.

Thanks for the information about the bogus call back number.  I'm blocking it right away.

"Friendly" over-confident dude bellows, "Hi, this is Chris!"  "Okay, you're either selling me something or 'taking a survey.'"  "We spoke before about having some work done on your house."  "I don't have a house."  "You don't?"  "No."  "What happened to it?"  "I'm a renter."

Then he hung up.

My story is the same as all above.  Every hour at least, every single day.

Top Design called but wanted to confirm my identity.  There should be laws against these type of calls.  I can see how they would take advantage of older people.  Do not give these people any business.

818.123.8888 called just now regarding home improvement. I told them that I'm on the Do Not Call list. They said "whoever told you that is lying." Obvious scam...

Robo calls my phone 3 times week.

I got an emergency whistle so when these roaches call, I tell them I'm not interested, remove my name & number then blast them with a ear splitting, high pitch whistle.

The caller ID says No Name. I let it ring. They left no message. Then I read this site and I'm glad to know that I avoided another telemarketer.

877-497-2919 is their office number. Called them and told them to take us off their list. Shouldn't have to since we're on the DNC and have never had contact with them before, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Scammers using a fake telephone number.  You would have to be a complete idiot to give these people any money or information.

Caller ID: Unavailable, so I called and reached a recording surprisingly informing me the number was "not in service."  

I kept a log and received 31 various telemarketer calls between May 5th and June 17th, between the hours of midnight and 10:00 PM (yes, midnight!) and on every day of the week, including Sunday. I reported them to the Do Not Call Registry, wrote to my congressman, and sent the list to the FTC's office in Washington, D.C.

Then yesterday I wrote a petition. It's called "Ban telemarketers to Restore our Right to Privacy and end harassment on Private Property."

Until my petition has 150 signatures, it will only be available from the URL listed,and not publicly viewable on the Open Petitions section of We the People website.As of now there are seven signatures. So I sent it to my congressman and decided to give Facebook another try.

The nerve of this "company"! Called me on Sunday afternoon. Talk about aggressive!!!!! I didn't answer.

So true Sherriem.  A couple of years ago I had some major work done on my home and have been plagued by these bottom-feeders ever since.  Thank goodness for Caller ID - I just ignore them.  It is still aggravating though,

6/06 17:38  At least 5th time called since beginning of year.  No message or ID.  Based on other reports, having work done on your home opens you up to unlimited calls from every type of scam there is.

A friend of mine has another way of dealing with them. He answers and waits for a voice, then says "the job is done, but there is blood everywhere", then hangs up.

I answer these types of calls and then immediately hit the "9" as fast as I can for about 20 hits. Humm, no one there when I stop. Was told this would confuse auto calling computers and they might delete my number as not in service.

Received voice message from this number multiple times, asking if we'd like our carpets cleaned etc.  Never able to call back as it's a bogus number. What dumb idiots!!

Just got a call from 818 - 123 - 8888 , I called back but it was not a working number. I called the phone # on their website only to find they do not accept calls from "blocked" numbers! This is a new company as you can see by the California State License Board website.

Oh yeah they called my house too - Fortunately I had ALREADY done my research on them and I WENT OFF on the caller the moment I picked up the phone - I cussed HER out and hung up -  LOL !!!

The chick actually had the audacity to call back and act as if she was one of my "Neighbors" - She was so upset and flustered - it was actually FABULOUS !!!

I said "don't you EVER f-ing call here again" and hung up...At least now if they EVER call here again, I can make a report under the STALKING laws...

Try it for yourselves - Don't really get upset, just act like you are and have a GREAT time - remember, turnabout IS fair play !!!

Just got a call from this number. Said he was Jason Kravitz, a local contractor. Funny, we live about 170 miles away from the 818 area code - not very local is it? Used the same story about calling on behalf of a relative. We hung up on him before he could say any more.

California Heating and Cooling, May 7, 2013.  Boiler room telemarketers, talked over me when I asked to be taken off their call list. Insisted they did work for us in 2005.  Nope.  Really a mean fellow to cause such unhappiness!

Just called the 877 number. I got a guy who said he was a manager at Top Design. Ok... Anyway, he was pleasant, said he'd remove my number from their call list (not holding my breath) and then he said that the next time someone calls I should tell them I'm a renter. I guess that will discourage further calls?

Kevin from "Top Design' was in my area and would I be interested in a home remodel?

This is the real number 877-497-2919, please call them everyday like I do, they initially denied it was them spoofing the 818-123-8888, but I eventually got a person on the phone who admitted they are a telemarketing agency with 50 people calling.  I indicated I was on the Do not call list, why are they calling me.  We'll take you off the list was their response, my response was I should have never been on their list.  So please everyone call this real number every day, give them a taste of their own medicine, it will tie up their lines to hopefully, shut down their illegal business.

Got call from 818-123-8888. Caller I'D as California. Thank goodness I have Panasonic phone with call blocking! Picked up on 2nd ring and hung up on whoever these jerks are.  Now on my call block list, so phone will ring once, show caller blocked, and stop ringing.  They will get busy signal each time they attempt to call.

They called today.  I didn't answer.  They didn't leave a message.
