A charge of $49.49 showed up on my VISA credit card on 2 Aug 2012 from "More AFY 818-237-6319 CA" Didn't catch it right away but found it credited back to the same card a couple of weeks later even though I had not yet contacted anyone about it yet. Checked the internet to see what kind of company "More AFY" was because I do a lot of purchasing over the internet and found this site.  I too had ordered from Great Courses/Teaching Co. in the weeks before the charge showed up. Sure would like to know what is going on here.

Same, fraudulent charge of $49.95. Seems we got F-ed by The Great Courses. They either hacked or inside guy grabed our un-encrypted credit card data. Cancelled card.

I am also a victim of this crap, And I also just recently ordered from the great courses.

I also got a charge on my MasterCard from "MORE AFY 8182676319 CA" on 08/01/12 for $47.95.  And I had ordered from Great Courses with that card two months ago.  I reported it to my credit card company.

I also made a purchase at the Teaching Company / Great Courses.  It was the first purchase on a new card.  The next statement showed "MORE AFY" and a 49.55 charge (phone number 818-267-6319 CA).  I called and reported the fraud to my credit card company who are cancelling and re-issueing a new card to me.  I also called the Teaching Company to let them know.  They are investigating.  (Their representative was very pleasant and I have always had great service from them.)

Same thing here.  On another site, folks have compared notes and found that many had recently ordered from "Great Courses" using the affected card.  "Great Courses" goes under the name TEA TEACHING CO when they bill your card.  They may have been victimized themselves or someone there may not be behaving nicely.

I also got a charge from MORE AFY on my Visa for $49.50. Transaction date 08/02/2012 The phone listed was 818-267-6319. I called the number and got a message that was not intelligible to me. It was definitely not an "English as his first language" speaker. The message was accompanied by a "This box is full" message. Will call my bank tomorrow.

I have two charges on my account totaling $99.05. Called the bank to cancel charges and issue a new card.
The number 818-267-6319 is a cell phone in Van Nuys CA. The name of the co. in More AFY.

I also got charges on my account rom this number. More AFY is the name on the charge.
