I got the call today

caller identified herself as "maggie." She had an indian or pakistani accent. She called me by my nickname asking for my wife, by first name. She said they had info we had credit card problems. She identified her business as American Financial and hung up when I asked where she got the info .... I called the number back and the recording said "this number has been disconnected".

Got a call from this number and no one spoke,  I just heard static.

Have been receiving calls from 818-727-9306 and 631 208 1234 on a daily basis. It is always a person with a Middle Eastern accent.  They say they are calling regarding my credit card debt that is over $10,000.  I do not have any credit cards, I tell them this and they continue to call 2-3 times per day!~  Do not give them any information !

I believe they are ligit.  They are a debt settlement company.  They help you reduce all your cc debt by 50%.  If you don't pay your cards for 180 days, close the accounts, and then save up all the money you normally would pay bills with, you can offer to a credit card 1/2 the ammount you owe in cash, and they help you settle 50 cents on the dollar.  It's a bankruptcy alternative, that has it's purpose.

Received call from this number.  Kept saying hello, could hear people in the background like a call center.  They did not say anything and hung up.  When I called the number back, I got the recording this number has been disconnected, please hang up and try your number again.

I had the same type of call few times over a week. My final straw was when I let it go to the answering machine while picking up the phone and later said looks like we are talking to my voice mail. They immediately put on to someone who requested I remove it. I have refused as they seem to know things that only a cc will know. Today they contacted me to see if I deleted it...

They've been calling here.  Same deal - call center chatter in the background but no one answers.  I called back and got the "number out of service" recording.  This has SCAM written all over it!!!!!

I was called yesterday and told the same thing. I don't own credit cards. THey called me again not 5 minutes ago. I tried to call back and it said that the phone number was disconnected. I will sue if I find out who is calling me. The number they are calling me at isn't even my home.

Same 55% credit scam.  Received call on mobile number.  In short order asked for total balance on credit cards after saying they were aware I was paying more than 8% interest.  When I resisted the Indian accented man who called proceeded to yell "HANG UP!"

So how do we get information on these fools to get them prosecuted and shut down?

My caller ID says California.  Figures.

Received hang-up calls from 818-727-9306 two days in a row now. As a network/telecom admin for a medium-sized business, I call confirm that is in fact simple to "spoof" (change-public-unknown-numbering 4 ext-digits is the command on an Avaya switch) the number which shows up on caller-ID. I did a reverse-look-up on the number, and it says it's a landline in Northridge, Cal. I've called it several times, and it always plays the "disconnected" message. I'm just glad it's not only me.

You can register with the National Do-Not -Call list to stop receiving these calls. The website is:consumerfraudreporting.org. You can either do it by phone or internet.

2nd call in 2 days. After a 30 second delay, a thick accented Indian woman mispronounced my name and asked me if I had any debt. After I told her no, she hung up on me. Rude b***h. I tried to call back and the number couldn't be reached.

Just got a call from these folks. I missed the call, I didn't recognize it so I googled it and got this site. Called it back and got the operator saying the number was disconnected.

I have had a call from this phone number at least 3 times a day for the past month!!!!  Finally I picked up last night and told them they needed to stop calling my number b/c it was my cell phone No. and was adding up. I gave them a land line no. that was my grandmother since we do not have one.  The same lady called back that night and I told her I said not to call my ph. and she basically said I had lied to her eariler and gave her a bad ph no.  That was a bad start...calling your potential client a lier!  Then I said "look we are about to sit down for dinner and if I could get a website or you could mail me info that would be fine."  She siad "No mamm that is not possible I am just asking for a few minutes"  We then went back a forth a few times and finally I said "look, just please put me on your do not call list"  She said NO!  and she kept talking telling me I was rude for not letting her finish.  I said to put me on the do not call list at least 10 times and then asked to speak with her manager.  She got extreamly rude and said I could not so I hung up on her and guess what???  Another call..."how dare you hang up on me" she says.  I ask to speak with her manager at least 10 times and then told her she was harrasing me and I would report her....she siad "OHHHHH, I am soooo scared!"  I couldnt believe it.  So I put my husband on the phone and she hung up!  Then we get a call on our land line and its them.  She started to talk but then some other Inidia guy gets on and my husband says, "put us on your do not call list"  Silence...."ok sir" and hangs up.  THEN!!!!!  She calls my cell phone back again and my husband answer....silence...hangs up.  It happened once more.  I CAN NOT believe these people!!!

I been recieving calls from this number for the past 2 months. Its started to really make me mad!!!!!!! I call the number and it said this number has been disconnected or no longer in service. I thought how can it be disconnected or no longer in service when someone just called from that number! They leave no message whatsoever. I'm on the verge of changing my number but then if I do that they will find my new number!

They keep calling, they're probably from lead-seller IMGLLC of AZ. IMG = International Marketing Group.

they been calling me 918-273-1818 an telling me bs then hanging up stalkers i think they have no life im on call 24/7 an they r pranking me way to much hope they have problems with there phone soon then when u callem back says phone is no longer n service get a life phone prankers  hello

This company has called me a number of times in the last few weeks.  I even received a text message from them.  I replied to the text message letting the company know it was an unsolicited text message, that my number is on the no call list, and the company was in violation of Federal laws by calling me.

Beware of callers from this number.  Call your phone co or cell phone co and they can block the number.  We have turned info over to the right people.  These frauds will get what is coming to them...KARMA!

I tried to text this number to remove me from their calling list..., but it is a landline and I cannot text landlines, I didn't know it was possible to text landlines. Anyway, they have called twice today and I told them to remove my number as well.... We'll see what happens?

Yesterday I received a call from this same number and they left no message.  I tried to call the number back and I received a message that the number was disconnected and no longer in service.  Today, I answered a call from the same number and the person had a very thick accent.  I let her state where she was calling from and why, then I stopped her and asked for her name.  She stated Tracy Parker, I verified that she was calling from "American Financial," then asked for a return number to verify.  She hung up VERY quickly!  This is a scam!!!

This is a scam. The key to recognizing the number is (at least on my phone) there is a "+" at the begining of the number. This indicates an overseas call. Do not answer it.

Called telling me they can save me 55% on my credit cards and knock the interest rate down ... went through the whole rigamarole answering questions about my balance, etc -- finally to speak to the last officer that said my balances were too close to the limit.  I suspect this company gets your account numbers, makes a charge, and leave you high and dry.  They never got far enough to ask me for specific information, but they did call me unsolicited.  Very suspicious -- do NOT give them any information AT ALL.

wow, i can't believe that so many other people are getting calls from this number. i live in LA and it's an LA area code, just thought it was some jealous girl calling from my ex's phone or something...

they call me a few times a week around 9am in the morning. today i never answer unknown numbers, but they never leave a number so today i was too curious to not answer. when i did, they hung up! i tried calling back but i get the message "this number has been disconnected." I tried texting, but i got a message saying that it was a land line.

Because I've never gotten a message and they hung up when I did answer, I have no idea who it was and can't verify that it was a credit card company.
