Caller trying to solicit money for a fire dept.  Declined to participate and he tried  to get aggressive.  I suspect a scam.

Left no message.  Could be the fireman trying to sell me a ticket to a concert.  This is about the right time of year.

This telephone number was reported in our Newspaper (Tryon Daily Bulletin) as being used by scammers to collect donations for a children's burn camp, which doesn't exist, of course.  I got a call from this number this morning (8/27/13) but I usually don't answer numbers I don't recognize.  They did not leave a message, I ran the number on this site, and found out it's the number the newspaper quoted.

DON'T ANSWER THIS CALL AND, IF YOU DO, DO NOT MAKE ANY DONATIONS!

Got three phone calls within three minutes from different phone numbers, two within my own area code which I guess is supposed to get you to answer. I didn't. You shouldn't either. These are made by call centers for a variety of purposes. They will not stop if you answer, they just wait and phone you a few months later for some other reason.

Left no message.  Probably the fake fireman or policeman charity.  They always call when there is a big tragedy like what just happened in Boston.
