Got the same twice - will not respond to any message unless I know the sender. I have a brother who is vulnerable to scams, so I try to be extra careful in case I get connected with him in some way!

I received a text message from this number twice.  I didn't respond as I figured it was a scam.  I am reporting it to my cell phone provider.

Third call in two days from these low-life scum whale poop eaters. Verizon has verified this a scam and is now actively working to get these degenerates. Prosecute to the fullest or better yet, turn them over all of us on this list for judgement!

I recieved same text message. I didn't even bother calling back because I could tell it was phishing and I'm glad I didn't.

I'm in Greenville SC also. I have received 3 texts, 2 for this number and one to call 803-426-3589 which is a SC area code.

Just got a text from 86492306@vtext.com saying call this number 8434614241. 4418-58######-####-####) acctissue....  I say scam cuz don't have a card with that #.

Received a text last night (01/20/14) and again today (01/21/14) from the same #.  Looked strange so I automatically deleted it.  Message said to call Achieve Card at that # due to an account issue.  I am located in Greenville, SC

I also got this as a text twice. I didn't respond. The only pre paid card I have done lately is through Harris Teeter. They have a special with BP and Shell that if you buy 40.00 in groceries you can buy a 25.00 gas/gift card for 20.00. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

This is a scam.  Reported it to Verizon security and the Fed Govt.  Hopefully people are getting wise to this.

THE NEXT QUESTION IS TYPE IN YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.  DO NOT DO THIS. I DON'T EVEN HAVE A PREPAID DEBIT CARD. I CALLED MY BANK AND THEY SAID THAT IS A FISHING SCAM.

I got the same text message, twice. Didn't call either time, as I figured it was a scam anyway. If a financial institution had any problem with any of my cards they would send a letter, in the mail. Don't call them back.

I just got the same text message and when I called it said the same thing! I don't have a prepaid card either. Deleted text message.
