I got both kinds too (the sms and the vtext), and I have both Horizon and an iPhone...

I have Samsung Galaxy 3. My husband has same phone but he has not ever gotten any such texts.

Got it, too, on a Verizon line with a Samsung Galaxy S4.

Just got text and I have Verizon too, call back number was 843-492-4296. I got same text like twice a couple of weeks ago late at night. When I tried to call, line was a fast busy signal. Glad I GOOGLED number this time. I too think this has to be a scam. Will try responding with "STOP" to see if I still get them. Will update if this works

Got the text also. Did not call. I was able to block the number on my smartphone.

All Verizon here, but different kinds of phones.  So I do not think it is limited to just iPhones.  It does seem to be that something with Verizon has been compromised.

I got this text, too. I am also on Verizon Wireless. And all of us got them tonight around the same time. Now I wonder if this means Verizon's information system has been hacked into. How would someone go about getting all the customer numbers of a wireless provider?

It's not only this number but several- I've received 6 texts.  Some of them from the same number but there's at least one for each area code in SC. I wouldn't call. We all seem to have verizon.  Just curious, how many of you have iPhones? My mom has gotten one and she has an iPhone.  My texts just started maybe last Thursday.  

Got two texts from this number - called back and it was "I regret to inform you" blah blah blah "achieve card services". Don't know what that was but am not affiliated with it so hung up.

just got the same text....Don't think I will be calling either. It clearly a scam.

I just got a text from this number too. Also on my daughters phone. We are all on verizon. At 9:20pm so of course I didn't call back. Figured it was a scam.

I have Verizon, and forward spam texts to 7726.

I also noticed that a couple of the people who posted have Verizon.  I wonder how many more of the folks that have posted have Verizon too.

I just got the same text and I am glad I looked to see if anyone else got it.  I am always curious as to who would be texting me on a Sunday night from a number that I do not know.  Thanks for sharing and will not be calling them back.  Would be nice to have a way to block them from texting again.
