Got voicemail on Sat afternoon that i was under investigation, blah , blah. Definately a scam! i intend to fight fire with fire an will be having fun with these idiots. The phone number they left for me to call back has been used to sign up for every porn and sex fetish site I could find online as well as all free offers and scam sites I could find. Also called back and gave phone number to call me back at work where my husband was meeting me with our "credit card", except the phone number I gbe to call me back is for local police dept. I hope karma catches up with these assh&/$s!

today i got the same call from this number but they said it was officer Patterson. and said that i owe money and crap first of all i haven't been on the computer for anything and idk whats going on but i think someone stole my identity and is using my crap my mom got on the phone and said that i don't even work which i don't and haven't worked yet im only 18 years old and i don't understand how i can have all this crap on me when i just turned 18 years old in February. so i have no idea wats going on

I got the same call all of you got. The first guy who called, his accent was so thick I couldn't understand him at all. He told me his name was David Miller, I requested to speak with someone I could better understand and he transferred me to another guy... just so happened that his name was DAVID MILLER as well. When I inquire about the names being identical the man yelled you will be arrested tomorrow... 0_o

I got a call from 844-244-4492 stating the same BS about being with fed gov and I had warrant for not paying taxes and I could take care of it by out of court method. I told him he was a liar/con artist, I am currently making payment to MY gov, not his obvious gov in India. I told him not to call me back and try to scare me into giving him money. He said, "oh my God" like I was so wrong in my assessment. Too funny. Beware people.

I received a phone call from some heavy Indian accent guy claiming to work with the federal investigation department and that I have a legal action against me and for not paying my taxes meanwhile I work in a CPA firm. What a joke!! Beware of scammers people!!

I got that same call and they told me to go cvs and get a card to pay my state debt...lol if you owe the state they will send you a letter.

this guy is a complete fool. i've been getting these calls all the time and if you  are getting them dont worry and dont give out any information. make sure you get a full name and get everything in writting to varify. this is a scam thou. so dont worry and just put this number on your block list!

"Officer" Michael Johnson just called me from this number.  Said he was with the Federal Crime & Investigation Department.  Spoke with a heavy middle eastern accent & pronounced my name incorrectly.  Said they had been given a federal case file against my name & ssn.  Said I needed to call back before they start a federal investigation against me.  I called the number he left & got nothing but a fast busy signal.

It is a scam. They told me they were from same agency and stated I owed state taxes.  My area code is 480 in az but I lived in Washington  for several years which has no state tax. Plus irs would have been calling not the criminal division of anywhere. Was kinda funny though

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

They kept calling me at my home phone# and finally I had enough.  I told them the next time they called that I had reported them to the local police.  The guy said why did you do that??  Then he offered me $50,000 to call my police up and say that I didn't know what I was talking about.

Today they called me on my cell phone, and indicated my address and email.  SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!!!!!

Yesterday, June 26, 2014, I received four voice messages and today, June 27, 2014, one voice message from individuals with Indian accents.  Which voice message indicated that I was under investigation for a criminal complaint, and that if I didn't return their calls, the police would show up at my front door and arrest me.  As a retired federal criminal investigator, I can safely state that these calls are scam.  No law enforcement agency, be it local, state or federal would ever was this tactic to notify someone that they are under investigation.

I got a call earlier today for this same guy with a heavy Indian accent and when I called back he said "who the f*** is this and what do you want, stop calling my number" shocked I said "who the heck is this, what do YOU want and to stop calling my NUMBER" this infuriated him and he started saying really awful things. I'd like to get this guy arrested

They called me also today 6/27/14 and said I had IRS charges pending and he gave me a choice to handle it three court or pay 1500 right then and everything would be taken care of so I told the man that I'll talk with my lawyer first then well give him a call then he said 500 would be okay lol...Dum Scammers!!

I got the same call from officer kevin smith todfay, 6/27/2014 from federal crimes unit saying that my name and ss is linked to a federal crime and to call back.  I called and got a vmail and hung up and then called again and got busy signals.  I don't answer calls at all like this bit the nerve of him leaving me a vmail!??  wtf!  and yes, he had a heavy indian accent.  leave me alone!

I received a call from a heavy Indian accent man named Joe Brown from Fatal Investigations, telling me to call 844-244-4492 if I don't want charges to be filed against me. I am glad I found this site and will not call back.

I, too received a call from these people this very morning. They were calling themselves the Federal Crimes Investigation Dept. the first so called agent was Robert Williams badge # 2067 and his number was unknown. He said that I was being investigated and had a warrant and had to call 844-244-4492. I said why can't you give me the information. He was that isn't my job, call your in big trouble. I called 5 times was hung up on when I wouldn't give my SS# or said I couldn't understand. Was told that I was being in indigent and hung up on. On 6th call I said to the  Agent Mike Walker let me be clear at no time have I been indigent I have not cursed or been rude, I said I don't understand what you are saying or I am not giving someone that I don't know my SS#. If you can call me you can look me up by my phone number all of the sudden bam he knew who I was and I had 3 charges. One was I hadn't paid my taxes, I said wait I file with my husband and he told me shut up. I laughed he went thru he whole thing and then got to the point of telling me that I could pay for my warrant or fly to Washington DC tomorrow or I would be arrested. When I said ok still again I file with my husband so this is a weird. He said your in big Trouble. Hung up on me. I looked things up online and then called the local FBI and they said it is a scam and if the charges where true then I would here from someone from a department by letter or at the house with real badges.

Received a call from this number stating I needed to call back to speak to the supervisor about the legal action against me. I asked what it was about and they said they don't have that information and that I would need to call back.  Took me 8 times of calling before it wasn't busy. Thick accents all the way. Person said crimes division something and asked me for my social security number. I told him I don't give my social out over the phone. Person said "then get ready to be arrested." Then he hung up.  Total scam.

Received a call from this number that it was Detective Jack Austin and I was turned into IRS with my SS# not paying 2010 taxes.  He said to not get arrested I need to pay this fine now.  When he transferred me for payment I started talking to the Indian Accent Man who said I can't ask questions and its against the law and I would be arrested.  I hung up on him since I was apparent this was a total scam.  

I received a voicemail from this number indicating it was a federal investigation.  I knew by the strong indian accent the caller was outsourced in a foreign country.  I called back for the fun of it and the first question he asked was for my social security number.  The dumb ass? you think they'd make sure they had a clear english voice in any hopes of sounding legit. Couldn't even understand the loser!

Love these calls- got a good idea- KNOW your police department number. Give them that number because you have a 'bad connection'

I got "Jack Brown" from Federal Crime Investigation. I asked him to repeat it several times for fun. I then asked him to transfer me to someone I could understand better. I was told his Superior officer would call me back at my number! lol!!!! I said I'm sure he will.

What is up with people? I was threatened with being arrested by a US Marshall if I didn't pay for state personal taxes that I "owe".  Someone seriously needs to get a handle on stopping these types of calls! I'm on the do not call registry and I still keep getting this call. Waiting for that US Marshall!!!!

called them today. Spoke to "Jason White", who said he was Kevin Smiths supervisor. said he worked for the state of NY then said he was with Federal Crime Investigations. I asked which it was State or Federal. he said...yes.

Received this call today, for my husband. Was told the same spiel by the very heavily accented Michael Johnson.  When I kept telling him I could not understand him he hung up.

He states he is an officer for federal government wants my social security number he called twice today this has to stop!

I got the same message stating I was involved in a Federal crime, etc. this is all nonsense. It's a scam.

I just received a phone call from 844-244-4492.  The gentleman, with a very heavy Indian accent, stated his name was Kevin Smith.  He said that he was an officer from the Federal government.  He said that I must return the call if I did not want law enforcement coming to my home or place of work.  Obviously I did not return the call.

HARASSING threatening calls from Federal Attorney's Office, Officer Jake Miller 03146 and Officer Jason White @ 844-244-4492; I reported this to VB police #757-385-8101.  Said I had a warrant out, freezing bank account, contacting my work #, would be in jail for 70 months.  Re:  said 2011 and 12 taxes; told them i PAID and have a CPA.  Then decided to see what my instruction were to get out of trouble.  Was told I had to stay on the phone the whole time while I was going to get the money and someone would meet me, etc. I could go to Walgreens, CVS, Dollar Tree, 7-11!!! Contacted city on a separate line and then went back and started coughing loudly on the phone and hung up.  They called back and threatened me that if it was or wasn't an emergency I was going to die in the hospital or jail.  I just tried them back and gave them the VB police # and they now have me blocked.  Even if you suspect this is a scam, it is very upsetting.  Indian accents.....
