Yes, these guys are debt collectors! Know your rights, they cannot harass you, call you, or even post this debt to your credit report if it has been more than 7 years from the origination of the debt, or 6 years for medical ebt. They will call and harass, but if you tell them NOT TO, and they do, then you are entitled to a sum of moneys more than your debt! There is a guy there, who calls himself David, and he got "real nervous" when I told him about the "threats" from the message on my phone. I told him I was an investigator, he explained to me that he, and AR Group has NOTHING to do with this person that left the VM, that they are a mortgage servicing company, that they were concerned too (LIAR) because this person was giving their #,representing them as the "plaintiff"!! HE LIED TO ME! So, I called him from another phone to ask about a message I had received involving a criminal matter, AND IT WAS HIM/THEM!!
So, Peeps, contact your local Atty General's Office, DO conact the FTC (federal trade commission), save your recording, because it's my understanding they will PAY STEEP FINES, AND BE SHUT DOWN!! Save the recording! That's intimidation. They are the worst! Better yet, call them and "nicely" tell them what you think of their debt collection practices, because it is ALL GOVERNED by law.

I received the same phone call at my place of employment, except she said her name was Linda Carter, stating I had charges brought against me for check fraud and charges on attempts to defraud a financial institution. She stated that there was an addendum with this summons and that I need to call them to make arrangements to be served.  If I do not respond, she said " I will find you, I will Serve you" with the help of local authorities, and " you will have  your day in court, goodluck"
Is this a scam ?  I do not have any bad checks, my husband and I just recently got checks for our checking account.  any information anyone can give would be great.

I got a call from Dana Armstrong from an unknown number and told me to call 844-281-7301. This is  a scam as I called and explained that they needed to send proof in writing of a this so called "back check charge". She said we dont have proof but we will be out to arrest you at your home and I said come on as my husband is a police officer and already verified there are no bad check charges against me. it is a collection agency who buys old debt and then harrasses you into paying double the amount. I have a medical bill from 2000 that  I am currently paying the Hosptial for and called the hospital and they said ignore them. they are colelction agency who buys old debt and since your paying us you dont have to pay them.

They called my sister looking for my husband left a name and number and said if he didnt call back by 6pm he would be in jail by 7. I called the number back and told the women I was an attorney and my client had received a call from a Rhonda Carter and what she said. The woman who answered said there was no one there by that name and that this was ARG Group a real estate firm in Fla.

Sound to me like just another kitchen-table debt scammer.    If they call tell 'em to go to hell, that they are phonies,  and that you're are making a complaint to the FTC.

They're so stupid, process servers to  don't contact you prior to service of process.

They are just trying to scare people into giving them money.  

They call themselves AR Group.  But there are a lot of AR groups listed under Google search.

Got a call from a David Collins saying that the authorities will be at my house in the morning. Is this a scam or what?

Nicole Johnson or Jackson called saying something about fraud and  she will serve me at my residence or employment, and good luck in court.
