Epic failure of the shilly again!  Neither fax, phone or email is legal "proof" aka debt validation.

Section 809 of the FDCPA http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf requires 3rd-party debt collectors to give debtors written notice of debt (the key word is *shall*) :
"§ 809. Validation of debts
(a) Within five days after the initial communication with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt, a debt collector shall, unless the following information is contained in the initial communication or the consumer has paid the debt, send the consumer a written notice containing?
(1) the amount of the debt;
(2) the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed;
(3) a statement that unless the consumer, within thirty days after receipt of the notice, disputes the validity of the debt, or any portion thereof, the debt will be assumed to be valid by the debt collector;
(4) a statement that if the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty-day period that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, the debt collector will obtain verification of the debt or a copy of a judgment against the consumer and a copy of such verification or judgment will be mailed to the consumer by the debt collector; and
(5) a statement that, upon the consumer?s written request within the thirty-day period, the debt collector will provide the consumer with the name and address of the original creditor, if different from the current creditor."

So, according to your address, you're a Private Investigations Firm/Security Training/Security Guard Services??  LOL

There is only ONE "proper" way to handle ALLEGEDLY delinquent accounts - and that is for the caller - YOU - to MAIL proof of debt/proof that you have the legal right to collect said debt.  This is per federal law - the FDCPA!

The posters here aren't "uneducated", nor are the comments "slanderous" - can't be, if they're true.  The only one posting porkies here, is you.

The burden of proof falls on the debt collector to show that the alleged debtor owes them money, not the other way around.

Per the FDCPA, no one should pay any caller who refuses to MAIL - do not accept email or fax - proof of debt/proof the caller has the legal right to collect said debt.  In fact, refusal to mail this documentation within five days of the first contact is a violation of federal law.

First off, I have gotten these calls too. I have ASKED for copies of paperwork and been refused. Second, assuming you WERE licit, it is illegal for you to come to my work, discuss my supposed debt with anyone else, threaten me, or any of the other tactics you use.  So, I can actually sue YOU for violations of the FDCA. Go ahead, call me. But don't block your number! Loser! Oh, and by the way, I know ALL of the court officers and police officers in my county. Maybe I am one????  Come on! Bring me papers! Low life scum!

Lady's and Gentleman please use your heads and don't believe everything you read on the internet. Global United Arbitration is a real company and exists, that can be verified by calling the ny state secretary of state incorporation division. I am the owner of the company, if you have an issue you can email me http://www.globalunitedarbitration.com/contact.html also our physical address is 3125 Walden ave Depew Ny 14043 you can find that information also on our website. There is 2 proper ways to find out who has legal rights to handle your delinquent account, one way is to call the originator of the debt and ask them who has your account the other way is to go to https://www.annualcreditreport.com/index.action and pull a free copy of all 3 of your credit reports and call the number on your credit report. Also i have no problem providing anyone with a notarized copy of the debt notarized means its 100% real and legitimate. You can chose to believe uneducated people and their slanderous statements but at the end of the day that's all they are is upset uneducated immature individuals who are upset that they have to deal with the consequences of their actions now. So the only way they think they can hurt us is by posting lies about us on a  forum. At the end of the day the truth always comes out believe what you want but do your own research make your own determination call your original creditor check your credit report and only deal with company's that will provide you with a notarized proof of debt because if they are legitimate they will have no problem doing so. As of the people posting all these lies just remember your debt wont go away until you decide to be a mature adult and pay your bills it will only get worse i suggest you re evaluate your ethics and be a productive member of society because as long as there is people scamming the system this country will be in the financial destruction that it is in. i hope this post helps the honest people and gives them assurance that they can do their own research instead of believe stupid people

Yes these are scammers. Do not call them back, but you can download TrapCall onto your phone to block the number for $9.99 per month. It's worth it! Also my attorney confirmed it is illegal for any debt collector to come to your place of employment! That's a fat lawsuit waiting to happen if they do. Hope this helps!

Wow... now this is funny... A call was forwarded to my voice message today... A process server angry informing me they went to my place of business and gave the correct address here in Oakland California... said he was there at 4 p.m. and I did not make myself available so it will be reported as a direct refusal of documents... I laughed, because this company is small and only has 8 employees which all know who I am and our door's do not close until 5 pm.  Have to LMAO...

What do these people think we are???   Wish they would just go away....

No, you said it was "gone" from your credit report.  Sorry - it doesn't work that way.  Even if you pay off a debt, it still shows up for 7 years!  And if this was paid a year ago, why are you NOW just coming to this site to post - only shills come and post positive reviews - after the fact!  No one is buying your story.  And we didn't ask you to post YOUR details - we asked for legal company name, physical address and website of the "company" you dealt with.  You still haven't coughed that up.

Yes - seriously.  In fact, "Brad's" contention that the debt came OFF his credit report is another red flag - delinquent debts which have been paid off still show up for a long time - they don't magically disappear from the credit report.

Luckily the people I work for understand and are smart enough to know the law... they are the ones who ended up telling me to sue them... I just want them to go away... $100-$1000  is not worth all the time I would have to put in to get this amount... Just want them to go away and leave me alone... :)

Please do also print up this thread so your workplace can see you're the victim of scammers.  BTW, debt is civil, not criminal, so even if the debt was yours and you had defaulted - you CANNOT be arrested.  In fact, to threaten you with arrest is just another violation of federal law by these scammers!  Please do also report your callers to the FTC, FBI and your state's Attorney General!
