We feel this is a scam. We are Infozone Inc. a B2B web design co. and we have been receiving some calls from individual customers asking for Infozone Solutions. To begin with no one should provide any details over the phone and secondly this sounds like a scam and should be reported.

I received a call from same foreign caller claiming that he represented Microsoft, & that my PC
was reporting dangerous errors to Microsoft that, if were not addressed, would cause my PC
to fatally crash.

He had me run "event viewer" & about 1000 "errors" were displayed. This was his way of
getting me HOOKED. He asked if he could get a tech REMOTELLY connected to fix these
errors. I allowed this.

He said that it would cost me $125 for lifetime service & that AVG virus package would be
installed. I said "No", & he came down to $70, which I accepted.

All the errors were removed after the tech worked on my PC for over 2 hours.

This was about a week ago and I ran EVENT VIEWER again myself and the errors are back.
I sent a email to Infozone with addresses supplied and they turned out to be bogus. I also
called their phone numbers & they too were non functioning.

Yes! It looks like I was SCAMMED also. BEWARE! Just hang up on them.

I got many calls from 321-549-5483 asking me to go to my computer and log on to there "Help" remote service. I asked all of them "which computer, I have 10" and they all said any one will do. Right then I knew it was a scam. I asked the last guy who called:

- What virus? He said Stoker (Samantic never herd of it)

- What company do you work for? He said Info Zone Solutions (Wrong - a reverce look up says one call solutions) Reverse look up also says that the number is located in Melborn or Palm Bay FL

On the web I see two other phone numbers used by these crooks:

845-440-1804 (From Beacon NY)

201-321-1804 (From Jersey City NJ)

this was from zTech support  they called me several times and told me my computer Dell is working with them. I could get a free check up for virus. They said I was loaded at that time I was with cyberdefender,  They would match my contract. On 3-22-11 I paid $235.84 for 15 months for 3 computers. While on the phone in Oct the man said they were merging with another company. You would get better premium service add $300 now and it is for lifetime. He had to have my check through Paypal  I  Paid it/ about 20 days later a tech working on my computer broke it. I contacted them in New York found the headquarters is in India. My bank helped me with the report . Can not get any refund because paypal used bill me later. Found out this is a scam. We need to do something they designed a websight and bought phone numbers to make people like me to believe it is a local company

I received a call from "Alex Smith" with a foreign accent from "Microsoft" who told me I had a serious infection and wanted me to go to my computer.  I said I wouldn't do it and said I'd have my son call him.  My son was smart enough to look it up.

I definitely think that this is a scam phone number.
I got a call Friday night from a foreign accented man. He said his name was Michael Lee and he worked for V-Tech internet support. He said that he saw that I was having errors coming up on my pc and that they were coming from virus that would attack my system if I didn't let them help me get rid of them.  I told him I found that interesting because my computer hadn't been on for 6 days due to the hurricane and no electricity. He then asked me to give him my contract number and he would help with the error. I let him know that I wasn't experiencing any errors on my computer, that I had no contract with them and that if I had any problems I would call my own tech support.
I haven't had any other calls, but it definitely didn't sound right to me. I think they were going to try to access my information.

My Dell Dimension 4700 desktop has not allowed me to sign in for about 3 weeks now.  I received a phone call about 2 weeks ago from a foreign accented man who said he was calling about my computor problem. His name was Richard Thompson and he worked for Microsoft. He asked if I was having problems with my desktop. I told him I was and he said that he would help me fix it over the phone. Richard asked me to turn it on and sign in. I told him that my unit will not start to program at all. I let him hear the beeping after I powered it up. He asked if I had another PC and I said yes. I have a Dell laptop. He asked me to turn it on and he did get into my PC. He showed me a couple of pictures showing the back and guts of my desktop. He asked me to take the back panel off so we could do something with the boards inside. I removed what I thought he wanted me to unscrew and the power plug and fan motor section fell inside. At this time I told Richard that I couldn't perform what he wanted and I'd get help and call him back. His number is 1-845-440-1804. My son and I removed the whole left side of the computer and have tried multiple times to call Richard and number is constantly busy. I even thought Richard would call me back. I've heard nothing.
I believed that this was a legitimate experience because we have 3 Dell computers in our home and we always have had foreign accented people call and work with us over the phone about our units.
I have not experienced anything wrong with my laptop system so far. Can you explain if this was a legitimate exchange with Richard? Can you help me fix my desktop problem of getting online? Thanks, Jon Herdman
