Confirmed it's Lloyds TSB Fraud automated, it's most likely  a payment was declined, could be anything sometimes it trips it for the most stupid of things. it's best to call them, or answer it when they ring again (they will) to confirm it in case the system blocks your card. It's happened to me before, very annoying but tbh it's only doing it's job I guess

This number calls when a transaction you have made with Lloyds Bank has been stopped for a random security check. I just had this, I put it together with a transaction that had failed to go through, so when I rang Lloyds, they asked me security questions and finalised the transaction. In my case it was a geniune call from Llodys, they confirmed the number, even though it cut off when i pressed any button to continue.

Just telephoned me at 8.10am on a Saturday morning not at all impressed!!!

Do not worry, I can confirm it is Lloyds fraud prevention. I got their call after trying to make a payment by my bank card (instead of 94.77 pounds I mistakenly entered 7794.00 pounds). Fortunately, the transaction was declined and my card was blocked, so they called me and wanted me to confirm that it was me who wanted to do the transaction. Thanks Lloyds! :)

Amazing to see the history of this number, why is it still operating? 20th Feb 2014 a phone call I missed, they left an answer machine message purporting to be for a Michael somebody or other (not me) important call from LLoyd's Bank and numbers to call back. All very proper it sounded too, almost tempted me to call back and tell them they had the wrong number.......but thought I'd check here first. Strong suspicion I'd have either been ripped off for the call costs or have to resist giving details - had I actually been with Lloyds I can imagine they would have asked to check my details on file since they had my number for somebody else..........

that would be apart from 08456040440 membership services and 08453000000 card services.  They ALL start 0845!

I have got several calls from this number saying that it is from Lloyd TSB, but I have checked the service numbers of TSB and never seen a number starting with 84.

This is not Lloyds TSB do not answer if they call you.  I just got 2 calls from this number and looked it up, found on another site it said Lloyds but called them on their normal number.  They said this number is nothing to do with them!

This is confirmed as the number for Lloyds TSB Fraud Prevention Centre. You cannot ring back. This number only contacts you if there is suspicious activity on your Lloyds TSB account.

I received a call from this number but never called back. About 2 hrs before receiving a call from this number I was contacted by Lloyds tsb on 08453510192 and 08456031755 Reg suspicious activity on my account. It was me that attempted to transfer money via Western union, so I'm glad they called to double check. So the two Lloyds tsb numbers are genuine as I checked them before calling. However was unable to find ANY info with regards to the +84 number so this to me still seems odd.

Yeah, 24/02/2013 16:17 I've just got same automated call, saying it's fraud prevention and asking to call back?... seriously bank called and asked to call back? what, are they saving on calls?
