This is a collection agency.  They have numerous phone numbers (from several states, etc.).  If they're calling your cell phone, download an app called "Call Control" and put their number on your Black List.  Blocks their calls once added to the Black List.  :)

This time this number called me, they said they were from Amazon.....wouldn't tell me what it was about.  I thought putting your number on the No Call List took care of this sort of thing but apparently not. Is there nothing we can do to keep these idiots from calling us??

received a call from said number on a saturday morning when most ppl are sleeping; a friend emailed me a solution for auto dialers..simply answer the phone ..then set the phone down and walk away..auto dialers will bump your number off their listing if you're on their line for a certain amount of minutes.

They've called several times lately.  When I'm home I pick it up and then immediately hang up without saying anything.  If I'm not home, they hang up when they get my answering machine.

Has been calling 4-5 times a day for the past week. Caller ID shows: Nyack, NY  845-770-0069. I haven't answered it any of the times they've called and when they get the machine, they just hang up.

I got the same call at my office. Our firm traced it back to a telemarketing company.

Caller ID showed "Cox Communications" our local cable/VOIP company. No one there when we do answer. Must be a telemarketing auto-dialer with insufficient live operators available to handle the answered calls. Cox keeps bugging me to sign-up for telephone service. Not a chance since my wife works for the local telco and we get free service.

I have been receiving calls from 845-770-0069 for two weeks.  I usually let answering machine pick up, but they hang up.  I have answered and it is like no one is there. I get these calls several times a day.  Really tired of it.  Wish there was something that could be done.
