I was harassed by these people for over a year. I had a new born baby in the house,  they would call over and over just to harass me. I started by asking them to remove my name, they would just hang up. I told them about waking up my baby, they started calling more. Then I told them I had reported them, nothing...
After one year of tracing the call the phone company changed my number, I filed a complaint with the FCC and we are moving towards a lawsuit. I'd prefer jail time for these lousy b*****ds because anyone that can harass a new mother and wake a baby without regard is not a person who cares about others and therefore should be incarcerated with other people who do not care about others.
As for the rest of you, just hold on, this will eventually go away. If worse comes to worse, you can buy a special type of telephone that does not allow spam calls to get through. it's a filtering device. If you can't afford one put it on your Christmas list, thats what a lot of people are doing to get around these sick jerks.

Do Not Call list (Federal and Local) is a joke.  I've been on it for over 18 months.  I get calls DAILY from idiots.

Contacting the FCC is as big a joke.  I reported my most annoying caller.  Guess what?  They still call 2-3 times a month.

I do not answer any call that is not from a friend.  My phone is for MY convenience, not anyon else's.  Verizon also has a Do Not Disturb feature that is awesome AND keeps all calls (except for those I allow) from even ringing my line.  The calls show up online and I look 'em up and/or delete them from the log.  Idiots can call all they want but they will not reach me, ever!

I receive at least one call a day from this number. Have asked on several occasions to be removed from the call listing and seem to get the "Deer in the Headlite" pause but they keep calling.

I pressed 9.  When the man answered, I told him to take me off his list.  He replied with "F--- You."  Nice

When I answered the phone and asked what was the name of the credit card company.  He couldn't exactly answer me "Well ma'am, we are affiliated with B of A, PNC, Citibank...." We want to help you lower your interest rate.   #1 I don't have credit cards...Haven't for years.  #2  The last three times I got a call like this, I always wait, ask the name of the company and then tell them to remove me from their calling list.  I proceeded to the this individual that and he called me a liar!

Cold Calls Solution

1st register at the Do Not Call list web page: https://www.donotcall.gov

2nd When the number calls back file a complaint. Contact the FFC to file a complaint about these numbers

Cold call, they hang up on a message machine leaving a busy dial tone.

Vote against all NRA issues and support all issues against them for all the harassment to you by these hang up dial tone calls. Call your representatives about phone cold call hang up calls from companies. Play those annoying noises back every time they call from known cold call phone numbers used to call you!

Please copy and paste this message at the top of every phone number you search. It'll help the next person hopefully.

When you file a worthless DNC complaint they put your new fresh name at the top of the DNC list, which will help those jerks when  these start adding new numbers to those they call. You'll have your fresh new phone number at the very top of their sucker list. DNC complaints from citizens are worthless and ineffective I stopped filing DNC complaints months ago. The answer to our problem is using a hand held tape recorder and then repetively tape (over and over the same sound) the disconnected/out of service tone until you have about two minutes worth to play to these jerks that call us. The sound is the same one telezaper uses. I started using a repeated two minute recording of the same sound as telezapper and my calls have gone from an average of 4-10 calls a day, down to none to one per day, up until today when I wasn't here to answer the call and play them my new tape. It works. Have the tape already going before you answer the phone and continue playing it until they either hang up or you think that the tape is close to the end. If so then you hang up. They won't call back, I've proven it to myself already after just using it a few weeks. Prior to using it I've put up with over two years of these nusinance calls.

After you've clicked on the http:// link that I've provided below, then scroll on down the page to and click on HERE:

What? You don't have the tones?

Automated dialer call by a telemarketer to a DNC registry number.  You would figure that someone would do something about these unwanted and supposedly BLOCKED calls.

I put unknown because I do not answer calls I do not recognize. Another lower your credit card rate scam based on SK7 and other sites.  I believe that robo-calls/automated messages are illegal so you can figure from that the criminal intent of the callers.   If all you lonely pathetic people wouldn't fall for this garbage these things would end. Recognize that these kind of numbers mean nothing good.  Don't answer the phone.  They will quit if they can't make money off of some fool.

At telemarketer.  Automated message stated that it was not calling about one of my credit cards, but to let me know that there are now cards offered as low as 6%, and to press 9 if I wanted more details.
