Called asking for my mothers phone number who I havent spoken with in years and harrased me and called me a liar and hung up on me. A-HOLES!

Hi, I just had a run in with this guy myself. he is truly a crazy, violent psychopath. I had to close down my bank account because of the problems this summer, and to top it off, my bleeding ulcer start acting up and my bad knee literally fell apart. I live out in the country. I wasn't moving, but when my mom said that she paid one of my bills, I didn't think anything about it. Until she told me in October that she didn't. I was talking to an alternate healer who actually worked, but who made my mom crazy. I had just got out of the hospital after tearing the bleeding ulcer. They had done a surgical iv, which makes your arm, and shoulder unusable for months. This guy when I answered just started screaming, cussing and threatening me, saying that he knew where I lived, and that he would be at my door in the morning, either getting me arrested or breaking every bone in my body. I didn't even refuse to pay, I just said that I needed to have time before I could make it up to the post office. Obviously, he didn't believe my hospital "stpry" because he proceeded to call me a liar, screaming stop the b***s***, and threatening me more. He just called again, this time really threatening me, making the image of a mafia don collecting a debt seem mild. He screamed about me missing the second payment - they never sent me a bill or explpaining how a 150.$ went up to 600. Can someone please help me with this guy. I'm not supposed to be under any stress. I don't really care if he called my hospital story b***s*** and started ranting. It is true. I've torn it 3 times in the last four months, requiring a week hospitalization each time. I really can't deal with this. I tried dealing with the original company, but they said that it is too late, that I have to deal with him. There is no way I want to deal or have anything to do with that b*****d. Today, he gave me death threats. There is no way that this guy is a professional. He is even nastier and crazier then the craziest maffia don. This is the type of pycho who will go into a rant and kill everyone in his office. Is he and his company even legitamate. It is suppose to be illegal to threaten you. By the way, he told me his name was Jerome. he keeps making up these names, probably so no one can complain about him. I need help dealing with this crazed psycho. What do I do. There were multiple calls to my place of employment, some with the "847-258-6260" caller i.d., some with "out of area", which oddly enough were the ones when a voicemail was left with just a first and last name and a return phone number, very much like a personal phone call, no indication of company name, reason for call, etc. I finally returned the phone call and came to find out that it was CMS, a collection agency, attempting to collect a medical debt and as I was attempting to explain an ongoing dispute I am having with my insurance company regarding this bill and several others, he simply cut me off, told me the debt is my responsibility, it has nothing to do with my insurance company and that basically I was lying about legal advice I had received regarding the ongoing dispute with my insurance company and that he was taking my explanation as a refusal to pay and that they would proceed in "another manner" to collect the debt and that they would "file" this afternoon, whatever that means. Overall, just a bad experience with a rude and arrogant collector, which prompted me to contact the medical office directly and let them know that this is the type of treatment their patients that end up in this situation, even if it is an insurance issue, are dealing with.

I've never been spoken to like this in my entire life!!!!  He called asking for my father-in-law's phone number.  I asked who it was and he gave me his name (can't remember now).  I told him that I was uncomfortable giving out his number unless he could tell me the name of the company and nature of the call.  He refused and accused me of doing harm to my father-in-law, then hung up.  I thought at first that CMS was a state agency for Medicare and Medicaid since that's what first came up on the web when I Googled CMS.  Thinking that this guy was just having a bad day, I called back and asked for a supervisor.  I was given back to the same guy!!!  I was calm and polite at all times, wanting to help my father-in-law get any needed information.  He proceeded to cut me off and spoke to me like no one has ever before!!!  I was shaken up all day!!!  I went back to my computer and found this site and realized that CMS is a collection agency.  We genuinely want to make sure my father-in-law honors his debts.  However, I wouldn't trust this person with a dime.  I will be speaking with the office manager who hired this agency and suggesting they find a collector with integrity.

This guy is a real smartass jerk. Will try to corner you by turning what you say around and putting words in your mouth. He is tryinig to collect on a debt from over 6 years ago.

I've been getting calls from that same number. The guy says his name is Joe Martin. I'm assuming they use aliases. The guy is a complete prick.

Try going to white pages .com type in the # it will tell you who the service provider is then try callng them to complain.

This man called telling me I owe him money and he's going to sue if i dont pay. He refused to give me the name of the company so i refused to pay.. i'm not going to give cash to a stranger.
