Has anyone else started receiving these calls after posting an ad on craigslist with your number?  Hardly anyone has either of my numbers and it just so happens i posted an ad on craigslist today with both my numbers and then i received a call from these scammers on both my phones. Not only that my numbers have 2 different area codes from completely different sides of the country ( i recently moved across the country). Yet both calls were exactly the same and for the same place.

Same general routine, except the caller said they were calling from a nearby motel/resort.  Said we had won roundtrip airline tickets, blah, blah, blah.  She was very anxious to put me on the schedule to pick them up.  I'm going to call the motel and read them the riot act.

This number called me today saying that my husband and I won to round trip tickets to anywhere. The lady kept calling me ma'am. I asked if she knew my name. She said I can tell by tour voice that you are a minor. I said excuse me I'm 21 hers old thank you. Then the line went dead.

called and left no message.....I googled it, found all these notes, and have decided to block it...thanks folks!

Dozens of calls from the same person with the accent. She known our names and said she was representing Direct Buy. We said stop calling we are not interested each and every time. She hung up on us twice so far. Number says it from Palatine,IL. Claims she got our phone number from an airline trip. I am wondering has any one here maybe used a credit card at the same place as us?

A women called my ex-mother in law asked for me by name and asked her if she was J----- which is her name then before she could ask who they were they hung up.  This is very concerning to me.

This caller calls repeatedly and leaves no message...kids in the background...very irritating!!
We are on the DO NOT CALL LIST, how do they get through??

I return dialed the number and got "Account is blocked" over and over.  A-holes.

A woman called my house (my husband answered) stating that we had won 2 round trip airline tickets to anywhere and a $100 gift card to a restaurant of our choosing. We were to pick these up at a Direct Buy location in Fresno, Ca and were supposed to be emailed a claim number. My unassuming husband gave her his email and cell phone number and we've been receiving calls ever since. It's been at least 10 calls on my home phone and around 3-4 on the cell with no email. When we didn't answer the phone we received 2 messages with odd static in the background and a woman's voice. I'm not too happy.

HAHAHAHA! I wish I had thought of that! The guy told me he was calling from The Harbor House in Fort Myers and we had won a dinner or something.

I am getting so sick of receiving calls from this number! I usually don't answer, but did this time because I was so annoyed that these people were again invading our family time. The guy had a foreign accent, I could barely understand him, and we had a horrible connection. He insisted it was not a sales call and proceeded to claim that he was the supervisor of a local restaurant. He kept asking for my husband by name. I kept informing him that he was unavailable. The solicitor then asked if I was his wife. I asked why he wanted to know, what was this regarding? I think he was explaining that they were having some sort of a promotion and we were randomly selected. How nice. I began to explain that we were not interested, they could remove our name from their call list and they better not ever call our home again OR ELSE, when he hung up on me after "We're not..." Jerk. I called back to give them a piece of my mind and after a long period of silence I got, "This account is not valid". What is the deal?? How do you stop this??

told me fort myers fl a trip to anywhere i want for my husband and myself so i lied about my name and gave them a fake phone number hahahaha jokes on them this time just wish they would stop calling me

get 7 phone calls a day from this number and when machine picks up all I hear is children playing in back ground.

I have received calls from this number almost every half hour on a Friday night.  Some foreign accented female left a message twice.  I Googled the number and found this post.  I did not answer the phone after finding out that it is a scam.  Thanx guys!

Got two calls from this number back to back.  It sounded like a bunch of teenagers at a party in the background.  Couldn't understand a word that they were saying.  Hung up and blocked.

Got a call from "mark sandoval" too.   Vacations offered in san diego, anaheim, etc.  He said i was the first person in five hours he had reached.  Kept laughing in a peculiar way.  Politely declined as it was smelling like a scam.

I got a call from this same number. They knew my first and last name. I recognized the voice as someone from Jamaica who tried to scam me before ("you've won the lottery"). They are using this US number to call from but they are definitely based in Jamaica. I do not know what can be done. I called the local economic crime unit and reported it.... I suggest each one of you contact your Congressman and U.S. Senator

I just got a call similar to all of yours only the guy on this call said he was with a company in Fort Myers Beach. He gave me an address and said his name is Mark Sandoval and that his company, Grand Getaways, is a travel club... that they are giving away free stays/trips to 10 people in the area. It sounds like a scam to me, so I started looking into it and came across this website.

Got the same call tonight.  Some lady with a very thick Asian accent that said they were calling from Southlake, TX......same as the rest.  I am on a do not call list and am less than polite to people that I don't know.  I didn't even let them make a sales pitch.  I didn't get a phone so people can reach me to peddle their services.  Now I get to file a complaint with the FCC.

scammers claiming to be from a local casino saying i've won some nonsense, and they need to "...verify my information". same heavily-accented female described by others.

Some guy from India who spoke POOR English said I, with a partner, were invited someplace.  I asked what this place was, and he said it was a hotel and airline reservation something-er-other.  No clue.  I told him I wasn't interested.

Same as everybody, southlake, tx blah blah. When ask to take me off the list, they just hung up. How Rude.

I was offered to be a VIP in Southlake TX.  They wanted to know why I did not want it.  I asked not to be called again...PLEASE> and hung up.

Received call from 847-485-0600 after nine pm..Did not answer ! Caller ID  Palatine, IL.

I got a call from this number but since i didn't recognize it i didn't want to answer and i rejected it and they didn't leave a message. I'm on a do not call list but i've recently begun doing online survey's for extra cash and i'm sure between that and job-hunting many scammers have my #. this forum is a big help!

Got a call saying I had won a prize and that they were from Williamsburg, VA.  The Area code is not correct for that.  When I questioned that she said they were using a switchboard in IL.  I told them that was not correct, she did not argue, she just hung up.....  Be careful.

It's just a scam. I have recieved calls from the same number 4 days in a row now. Telling me they are opening a location on Southlake Blvd in Southlake, Texas and I am their speical VIP guest. Finally told them that it was 7:30pm on a Sunday night and asked her what she thought I was doing. When I proceeded to tell her that I was getting my daughter ready for school in the morning and bed for the night and trying to finish my weekend chores she apologized but told me it was impossible to take my number off her list and I will most likely recieve a phone call from their company again. Needless to say they can talk to my voicemail from now on.

Got a call from 847-485-060 but left no message. Two bogus calls with different numbers in one night from the Chicago, Illinois area. They didn't leave any messages.

They were calling me just as I googled the number. I hit the end button on the cordless. It will quit ringing on my end but still ring on their end. Scammers.
