I checked today; the caller ID said "Service Customer". I have left a message on their (Ameren) web site, directed to their customer service department, indicating I am on the national do-not-call registry, indicating I am NOT a customer, and asking them to not call again. I also indicated I would report future calls from them to the official bureaus involving unwanted telesales calls. I also indicated if they continued to call, I would consult with attorneys.

Recv'd recorded message: "to save money on energy bill press 5" had no other options. Pressed 5 and nothing happened.
I hope that was NOT my agreement to switch energy companies. I called the incoming number and got another recorded message: "to be put taken off their calling list, press 1. They have to be CROOKS, since you can't talk to someone.

A very hard to understand eastern Indian speaking man and left a message stating he was from 'Dept. of Legal Affairs" and had to speak with my husband regarding a legal claim filed against him.  Obviously a scam as there are no legal claims against my husband.  This guy needs to be stopped, because someone somewhere will fall for this sham and I am sure it would be someone who could least afford it!

Charles D Naslund is listed as being in charge of Ameren's corporate oversight and the phone listed for him is 314-621-3222. Give him a call and tell him ignoring Do-Not-Call laws is a significant oversight, and he needs to do something about it.

This call was blocked by our Digitone call blocker. (We block every area code except the four local ones.) We couldn't answer it; it was blocked. Someone out of town who wants to talk to us would call back (happens a few times a year), so this works great; we can ?invite? those few out-of-town callers. About the only ones that are blocked and shouldn't be are people who, for no reason, block their home phone number. We have been on state and federal do-not-call lists for years? and reregister regularly, so nearly any call that is blocked is a scam.

got the call twice and the second time i answered said we were ellagable for a lower rate on the Ameren bill and to have the account number.  Was not able to do that at the time and when i redialed the number say something about do not call list.
Our city has voted in a system to give us lower power rates and we are not to do any thing if we want it and now want to know what the scam is

I got this call while driving today.  The problem is in Illinois if you are in a construction zone you can't operate a cell phone at all... no texting, no talking, not even using hands free...  Same rule for a school zone.  The other issue... it was on my cell phone and I don't know where this person would've gotten my cell phone number.  I don't put it on information request...  Go figure...

Called, no message left.

They just called our home (VOIP) phone today.  Hung up on answering machine.  CallerID said "Roselle IL".

Same here on 6/25/13 around 10:30am. No message left.

I didn't answer, but they left no message and the caller ID read "SERVICE CUSTOME"
