Same phone number.  It is definitely a collection agency based out of Chicago, Illinois.   The woman who described me was an aggressive woman, but wasn't completely rude.  They're pushy, I tell ya what, but if you can talk to them intelligently they'll at least pretend to respect it.

It's a group, ARS, based out of Mt. Prospect, Illinois (near Chicago)

Another pathetic bunch of worker/prisoners laboring for the state. ARS hires convicted felons serving time in various IL state institutions, and most likely elsewhere around the country.

They put them to work in call centers which are located AT THE PRISONS, calling YOU. WHich explains why they are usually so rude, obnoxious and stupid. Hey, there were stupid enough to get into prison, ARS just comes along and takes advantage of their natural criminal tendencies....threatening YOU.

LOL "your" taxes at work, isn't that a great way to spend YOUR money!

I am receiving phone calls from 847-709-7580 but I have blocked their number through my AOL voicemail service so they hear a recording that says" Your number has been blocked. Thank You.
I have been going round and round with Enterprise Rental car also,,,they are trying to tell me that I damaged one of their cars.... NO WAy...I turned it over to my insurance company... I spoke to  a person from this number one time before I blocked them. They asked me who my insurance company was, I told them none of your business,,,they asked me how much my deductible was....I told them that was none of their business either...I told the person that I did not wish to discuss this with him and he said OH YES YOU ARE GOING too, I said NO I am not and you are harrasing me...then I hung up...Unless Enterprise has your SS# I don't see any way they can put this on your credit report.

These people called me over hundred times and never told me who or what I owe. I checked my credit and nothing is there and they keep on on harrassing me. One day I called them over 200X using both my cell phone and home phone at the same time. It was a saturday and my cell calls were free plus my unlimited calls from home. Melissa, Kane etc. were there.
I told them they were taking the laws into their hands and are abusing my rights without respect to the law. They said I was harrassing them and that if I do not stop they will report to the police. I keep on calling and even gave them the FBI number to call because I had by them keep all the records of their calls. Later the boss came to the phone to yelled at me and I told him to shut up! Later he told me they promised they will never call me again. Guess what? They are calling me again, now I will ligigate them for over 100K court because I have build evidence against them. Please take them to court because they acting out of the rule. They are a bunch of crooks

ARS keeps calling my work and harass me, my boss, my co-workers of my debts.  I don't deny that I have debts.  I just came off a bad divorce.  They are harassing me at work and at home now.  I have asked them, my boss and my bosses boss have asked them many times not to call my place of business and they still call.  I've asked them to send me documentations of my alleged debt to my house.  They keeps on saying that they have.  I tell them that I haven't received anything from them.  This must of went in circles for about 8 to 9 times.  They say that I am making excuses.  I even asked them to send me a cerified letter and they refuse to do so...they've threatened me with garnishing my pay, court martial, threatened to call my commanding officer, law suit,..etc...I need help from these people...What can I do to have them stop calling me...

I've been getting the calls from this company too, and I have no debt owed on my credit report that is deliquent.  Sounds like a fraud to me.  I called the number back, and the rep answered "ARS."  I just hung up.  When I did answer their call, nobody spoke.  They called right back, and still after answering, there was no voice on the other end.  Sounds like they are targeting me next.

Yes, I get calls from these people but have no past due debt. Checked my credit report monthly and nothing fishy there. These people are probably not legit. From the above comments, I am not speaking to them.

I received a call from this company over a 100 times now and the funny thing is that they are asking for someone I have never heard of and My wife and I have told them over 100 times that this person does not live here nor have we heard of them. I haved informed them the past 3 times they have called that this is now being treated as harrasment and if they continue to call charges will be filed. Well guess who just called me about 30mins ago?  So now is my turn to annoy them.

They continually call me and leave messages practically screaming in the phone that "I MUST RETURN THIS CALL ASAP". Only until about the 100th call did they actually tell me who they were. Do they really think I am going to return a call from someone who doesn't leave the name of where they are calling from or who they are and what the purpose of the call is. I assume this has to do with a matter from a Enterprise rental I had almost a year ago. This is also the same issue that I took up with coporate offices of Enterprise and stated my case with proof that they had no justified claims and if they wanted it settled I would see them in court. I guess they didn't like my answer and set me to collections. Now $300 is not doing anything to my credit and something that I can explain on any credit application, so my solution is to change my number and of course throw back at them the Fair Credit Act. It has become harrasament at this point.

Apparently they are calling on my common law husbands VISA bill.  He died in December 2006 and left no estate.  The woman who is calling is very insistent say this call needs to be returned today.  I haven't taken orders since I lived at home with my parents.  This was not a joint credit card and I will continue to let the answering machine listen to this tirade.

If you are getting a collection call about a credit card you don't have, you may want to get a copy of your credit report.  Identity theft is a big issue these days, and it is possible someone opened an account as you and then didn't pay the bill.  This is all too common today and has screwed up many people's credit record.  If this happened, you are liable until you can basically prove you were a victim of identity theft and you may end up liable for the debt (you may need a lawyer to straighten everything out).

Whatever you do, don't just sit back and think that since it wasn't your debt it must have been a mistake and do nothing.

They called and were uninformed of my account status with the company I apparently owe money too.  I call them back, after hanging up on the collection agent, and informed them that according to the Fair Credit Act they may not call me back using any and all numbers they have.  If they do I will consider it a violation of the Fair Credit Act and I will prosecute.  The supervisor tried to pass the call back to the Agent, but I insisted that she write the notes so that there will be no mix-ups.

Please inform yourselves and read the Fair Credit Act, it is very consumer oriented and protects you from Collection Agencies and their annoying, and often rude, phone calls.

I also paid of a debt for which they continue to aggressively call me. They are exceptionally rude. I will be 26 next month and one man interrupted me, while I was POLITELY explaining, and he said "You know, you sound like you're about 12" - extremely rude, as was his supervisor. They are out of control.

This collection agency called accusing me of having a mastercard which had been passed to them for collections. I told them I do not have any mastercard at all, and never had one from the company they named! They then asked me for the last 4 digits of my SSN. I refused to disclose this info, but rather asked them what last 4 digits they was looking for. They refused to tell me this but turned around to then ask for my street address, I again refused. They then threatened to do some type 'credit search on my name' because I was refusing to release info to them in order that they could collect a debt... At this point I hung the phone up on this person because they continued to talk about this account that I know I never had. I also know better than to give out any part of my SSN or address, particularly to an 'unknown caller' on the phone.
THIS COMPANY HAS TO BE OPERATING OUTSIDE OF THE FEDERAL CONSUMER GUIDELINES AND REALLY NEED TO BE REPORTED!!
