Russ Kovar called and said he'd be in my neighborhood and would give us a free home inspection for storm damage since we had such "severe weather this season".  He'd be happy to give us a free inspection if I was at home or not.  Caller ID "KOVAR BARB.  Told him I was not interested and was on the "Do Not Call" list.  He hung up.  Seems as if he is on to a new scam!  If you have storm damage call a professional, do not take any offers from unsolicited callers!!

My girlfriend has been getting calls from this number for approximately 6 months or so. She never answers the phone and no messages are ever left for her. So she got a call again today and she asked me if I could find out what was going on and who was on the other end of the line. I used her phone to call the number back and got a man on the phone who gave me the same spiel that others have reported on here-- he said he misdialed the phone and quickly hung up.

After reading the things about David's Bridal on here, I asked my gf if she had given her info to any bridal shops and she remembered that she had but was unsure if it was DB or some other place.

So I Googled this phone number and the name Russ Kovar and found his resume and home address very easily as he has it plastered all over the Internet. He apparently has extensive Information Technology experience including work for retail outfits.

I wonder if his work in retail has given him exclusive access to customer records and he's now using those records for his own personal reasons. Either way, this behavior is highly disturbing and I'm wondering if a call to the Schaumburg police department is warranted at this point or not. Certainly, if the calls persist, I will feel compelled to take further action and have no choice but to alert the local police department of his activities.

It's ridiculous to think that my girlfriend now has to look over her shoulder simply because she was interested in wedding merchandise once upon a time.

This guy called and asked for me by name.  I said I wasnt available because I didnt know him, and he hung up on me.  Then I called back and he said he misdialed.  My husband got pissed and called again, and the guy said he was a telemarketer, but I wasnt on his list to call, so he couldnt take my name off the list.

I just got a call from him and he asked for me by first and last name, and then I called him back and he said he misdialed.  Then my husband got pissed and called him back and told him he was a telemarketer but my name wasnt on the list.  This guy is jacked!!!

I also keep getting calls from strange numbers and recently gave info to David's Bridal.  I called DB and asked them to please delete my information.  I never gave them authorization to give out my personal information.  

I called this guy back and he told me that he accidently dialed my number and hung up fast.  However, he has called me a couple of times.

This is one of SEVERAL weird calls I get. I ALMOST picked up because my phone number also starts with an 847 area code. Anyways...I've been getting calls from strange numbers ever since I gave my information to David's Bridal. One of them (304-937-0419) got so bad that I had to call the FTC. They called my cellphone everyday including Saturdays. People said that they knew ALL your info...like your name, address, and credit card number. FTC told me to call my credit card company and change my CC number. SOOOOOO annoying!!! I've been ignoring their calls for a month. I have the tendency to NEVER pick up phone calls that are not on my contact list now. I even ignored a call from my caterer and photographer because I'm afraid of telemarketers. :(

I also kept getting calls from this number with no voicemails.  I  answered the call tonight, and this guy claimed that he was doing a survey for the Wedding Expo.  He asked if I had found a venue for my wedding and where it was being held.

I just got a call from this number tonight! No message of course. I wonder if this guy knows he is pissing people off. I would like to know how he got an unlisted cell phone number!

I keep getting calls from this number at different, random times. never leaves a message. very aggrivating.

Getting calls too.  After researching the number, found out its some guy named Russ Kovar who is looking for a new employee for his business (that he runs out of his home, I think?)

I will continue to ignore the calls.
