847-994-2553 calls my TracFone cell several times a day - I don't recognize the number and it's not from my area code so I just cancel the call without answering - no caller ID. Anybody wants to talk to me can leave a message on the answering service and I'll call them back.

We get calls at the same hour day and evening. Hangs up when machine answers. Used *69 to get #, and this was it: 847-994-2553 from Elgin Park IL. Stop it!

This number calls and no one is there they call early morning and up to midnight...they dont say nothing need to put a stop to who ever is on the other end

This number has been calling me non stop for months.  I work long hours, and come home to see it on my Caller ID, and not ONCE have they left a voicemail message...EVER.  Who do they represent?  I had settled on a bill a while back, but after reading some of the replies above, I wonder if they sold my "balance" (which was supposed to be settled) to this company, and now they are harrassing me?  Anyone know what client they typically represent?

Porfolio Recovery has a website an uses over 50 different phone numbers. Also they has a fake BBB website. It says that they are a A+ rating. FAKE!  These people are just blood suckers. If you get a call from them or any ID of a city and State block them.

They call asking for "Isabella"... I tell them they have the wrong number... they apologize... then call again a couple of days later... now I answer... they ask for Isabella... I then press a number on my phone and all they get is TONE... whoa la... no more calls.  

Another tactic I use with other annoying calls is...If I am watching TV pickup, but don't say anything, I just place the hand set to the TV and I go back to watching until a commercial comes on... then hang up... they stop calling... must don't like what I'm watching

Yes, this number is from a collector. Portfolio Recovery. They are disguising their number.

I use "Extreme Call Blocker" for the Android phone.  Everytime I get a call from these people I just add that number to my "black list" and the caller gets hung-up on therefore it doesn't go to my voicemail.  Most of the time I never even see my phone ring it just discretely hangs up on them.

I work for a dentist. They keep calling and the caller Id shows portfolio recover - there is never anyone there when I answer- just silence on their end and after a minute, the phone disconnects

Portfolio Recovery Associates, I told them the person they are looking for died. They still keep calling so I told them to go to hell and find her.

Yes it is the Porfolio people... they call all the time-and sometimes they say they are an investigator--trying to panic you in for info.

They are idiots calling the wrong person.  They asked for someone I told them I am not that person and they insist I am or to have the person I don't know give them a call.  I swear some people need to understand that if someone gets harrased because they can't pay their bills, they eventually get tired of it and change their number.  Unfortunately for us we are stuck with these a***oles calling us until they decide to give up.  I have fun with these guys just answer what to anything they say they will eventually get frustrated and hang up :)

How in the world are you able to block all those numbres? The maximum I can block is 12 is there some program that allows unlimited blocking? If so could you please provide a link to that item.

They keep calling, no messages ever left that I can tell. I picked up once and answered with no response. I have no idea what they are calling about or who they are calling for since I never get any type of message to know. Happens at all different times of day as well.

If you make ANY arrangement with these scoundrels, make sure it is in writing before sending a pennny.  They are famous for agreeing to a settlement and then, once that is paid, selling the balance to another agency who will then start all over again with the harrassment!

I have picked up a few times. They ask for me by name and get rude when I speak only German (or what reasonably sounds like German) to them. So, my advice, keep it up. They have Spanish speakers they'll transfer you to, so don't try that. Stick with Euro languages.

They call my house looking for me multiple times but if i answer they hang up or dont even talk but if my spouse picks up he will play their game and talk to them trying to get information and nothing. i have no clue who these people are or what they want.

These people are from Portfolio Recovery Associates, a disreputable collection agency that calls from many different phone numbers.  They are rude and annoying.  They've been calling my Dad on behalf of Dell for payment on equipment that was sold as part of a corporate sale.

This might be a Collection Company trying to get info on debtor - They never leave message.
