Very strange call from a man with very thick accent. It was kind of scary almost. Lots of background noise and this dude was just rambling in some unfamiliar language. I told him I couldn't understand a word he was saying, then he just laughed at me and hung up the phone. Weird stuff. I'm just wondering how these people get our numbers. What is this "target" business I've heard people speak of?

I got a call from this number but I never answer numbers I do not recognize. After I get on Google and type the number in and everytime I find these kind of comments. Thanks for all the information it is really helpful.

Is it possible that you could have been affected by the recent Target data breach where email addresses and phone numbers were compromised? Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions, but after getting both a scam email and a shady phone call from this number today (I rarely get either of those, let alone both), I am suspicious. Even more so after seeing that this number has only been reported in the past few days, which would make the target situation a likely place to lay blame.

Received numerous calls from 1-850-250-5588.  I normally do not pick up the phone if I don't know the person calling, however someone from this phone has called me 3 times today.  I tried calling them back and nobody said anything just heard loud noises in background, then they hung up.

This numbers has called me 3 times today.  I didn't answer.  However, I did answer another time and told them I wasn't interested and hung up, I didn't wait for them to respond.  I plan on blocking their number and reporting it.  People, don't fall for people of such low caliber.  Scammers are everywhere! Keep a watchful eye out!.  I just tried calling it back and all I heard was loud sounds in background and they hung up.  Yup - maybe we should call them and keep calling them until they get tired of it

This number has called and emailed me they have my social security number saying they are supposedly the US Federal fraud dept.. BS! This guy could not barely speak English. They say the police are coming to arrest you if you do to pay them money... Funny thing is we had a house  filled with police at the time eating dinner with us! It's a scam! Please people don't give them money, they try to use scare tactics to get you to pay them... We had this same issue about 3 yrs ago, this guy would call and call and call saying cops were pulling in my driveway any second if we did not pay him some ungodly amount... I would just laugh at him... What he did not know is we continue to report these to the police and any other law enforcement! I hope they fall in a bucket of crabs and not the kind you eat! May they have perpetual upset stomachs and rot in jail while having a boyfriend name big bob!

These people not only say they are calling ALL Americans to help them pay off their debt, they have ZERO problem using extremely foul language when you tell them you can't hear what they're saying because of the noise in the background on their end. Please take note!!!! They are scammers!!!!!!
