called at 10:12 am, caller ID says Gulf Consolidated. I hate these calls!

I am getting calls from this number. This needs to be tracked down and shut down.

I've been getting several calls a day from this number, morning, afternoon and night!

i get a call from 850-434-6766 every evening around 7pm. never answered bc i do not answer calls from numbers i do not know. after reading some posts reguarding this number i called it back about 15 mins ago. it is about some newspaper. said there was noone to assist me right now to call back. for one i do not need any newspaper subscription. for 2 this number is a florida area code and  for 3. if i did want a subscription to a newspaper i would get one from the state i live in. ALABAMA!!!! why is FL  trying to solicite newspaper sales in other states? that is not only annoying but ridiculous as hell.

I get calls from this number on a daily basis.  It's a local number for me.  When I called back, I had to leave a message for "Gannette Publications".  Gannette is in Alabama although they run OUR paper here in Pensacola.  The first time I called, I was polite and just said "remove me from your list".  The second time I called I was firm and told them I am NOT interested in subscribing to our local newspaper-what a joke.  Nothing happens here anyway.  If they call again, I'll be paying the local office a visit IN PERSON.

This number calls me 3 times a day - - 7 days a week!!!
They never say anything when they call, no message, nothing.

I use to work for GCS, ignoring the calls doesn't work, they will call back, the telemarkers are not allowed to leave messages. And being put on the Do Not Call List probably ismt worth the trouble, especially if u have an attitude. Ask nicely and u will be put on the list, be an a***ole, and um no. Seriously people, It's a job, maybe not a great ome but it is. I'm sure all of u had a job u didn't like or thought sucked, well telemarketers have to make a living too, I know some who make 30Gs a year selling newspapers. So get the f*** over urselves and grow up.

They call my 3 times in the past 1 hour 20 minutes. I have blocked call, but the phone still ring once. This is harrassment!

This number which I now know as gulf consolidated calls mine and my husband's cell phone.  They do not leave a message. I had to look up this number to know who was calling. The calls we receive come after 9:00.  I do not want to listen to someone try to sell me a newspaper after I have worked all day.  If I wanted the local paper I have enough sense to subscribe.  I do not need someone calling my cell phone to try and get me to subscribe.  I hate that this type of business practice is allowed. As for listening them out and asking to be put on the DNC does not always work. We were told by a solicitor once that we were only on this list for 3 months and then the calls would begin again.  This is so aggravating!

I just canceled the local paper yesterday and am starting to get these calls already. If the rags you worked for were more professional I wouldnt cancelled the paper in the first place. You think your harrassing calls are going to change my mind? Just what does your business card state your profession as?

We have yet to answer, but we have gotten calls from this number four or five times a day for more than two months.  Sometimes they wake us up in the morning and call again after 9pm.  Now that I know it's the newspaper, I will NOT be renewing.  Excellent marketing strategy, morons.

I am on the no call list. That should mean NO unsolicited calls, right?

i get calls from the same number every night around 7 pm. from gannett newspaper in FL. YEAH! like they really are gonna get me to subscribe to anything. do they think i am just going to hand over all my info. address,bank account # etc....?   i think not. these ppl have lost their minds. they can keep calling but i put them on silent ring so i no longer have to hear it and i can still get my normal calls :) so let them call til they are blue in the face.....i will never hear it.

MO~ "says answer and decline offer. or we will not go away". LOOK!!!! ppl don't want to be bothered by unknown calls, that is why we now have caller id. if we don't answer NUMEROUS times.....leave us the hell alone!!!!! and calling 40 times a day won't help. i have set this phone number to a silent ring ( it has it's own little ringtone...that i can't hear) that way it doesn't bother me and i don't know u called til i look at my phone. and i can still get my other callls as usual. SO KMA!!!

I DON'T CARE WHO THIS PLACE IS OR IF THEY ARE REALLY TRYING TO SELL PAPERS IN MY AREA AS WELL AS OTHERS!  STOP DAMN CALLING ME!!!!!! I DO NOT WANT A NEWSPAPER!!!!!!!!!!

THEY CALL AND CALL, WHEN YOU ANSWER YOU VAN HEAR THEM BREATHING, BUT THEY DON'T ANSWER.

Keeps calling and no response

I do Not want t get a call from these people, they call back to back all day. PLEASE STOP CALLING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still continue to receive at least one call every day from this number (which shows up as Gulf Consolidat on my caller ID), and usually two or more.  I haave reported it here, and I have entered a report on DO NOT CALL website.  I will no longer answer calls from this number, and it usually only rings three times (I haven't used my answering machine in weeks, just because of phone calls of this type.  But I bet I can outwait them (by refusing to answer longer than they will continue to call). We'll see ...

I continue to receive calls from this number.  I have asked them to stop calling and my number is registered on the National Do Not Call list...doesn't seem to matter...??

All you have to do is answer the phone and politely decline our offer, and tell us to put you on the DNC. Your number will be deleted from our list.
Ignoring us won't make us go away, and it's also a rather unprofessional way of dealing with us.
We're not cruel money hungry people. We just want you to hear us out.

I called the Tallahassee Democrat and they said they would take me off the Gulf Consolidated calling list. I received one call this morning and I hope that will be the last!

I have been getting calls from this number all week.  When I tried calling the number suggested earlier for removal from autodial, I got a message saying "please try your call later" (with no identification as to who I reached).  This is ridiculous.  I am not a Democrat (not that there is anything wrong with that), I am too ill and too poor to be a potential donor or subscribe to any sort of magazine/newsletter/online service, so I am mystified as to how I ended up on the list.  If this type of annoying phone call is resulting from inquiries I make on the web to find or expand on information of interest to me, then I will probably stop using the internet for anything other than reporting annoying phone call.

This caller is very persistent! Several times a day and evening. I do not answer but after reading all the above I plan to call The Tallahassee Democrat and complain. I cancelled home delivery early this month and the calls began. Hopefully, they will do something about it! I will start there and if it works will let you know.
