Just finished calling back this number for the fourth time. They leave a message stating that I have a pending transaction number that cause me harm. When I speak to the person they state they are looking for a Taylor George. They are quite threatening and appears to be the same accent on both the recording and the person I speak with.

I received a call from this number that went to voice mail, stating  "in regards to a verification of employment that is being sent to your employer. It would be in your best interest for yourself or your attorney to contact us immediately". I called them back and my call was picked up by someone just saying "Mr. so and so". I said I had received a call from them and was returning their call -- and asked who they were (name of company). He was quite rude and demanded to know my name. I said I was not going to give him that information; I wanted to know who and why I was called. He would not listen to what I was saying, just demanding to know MY name and further yelling on his part, then he hung up on me.

Do not give them any information, name, etc. I'm glad I found this blog!

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

Now thanks to this sleuthing we know where to send a *real* summons and complaint. Any one of you reporting their ridiculous and hostile threats can sue them for relief, possibly more than they claim you owe. The loser pays all your legal bills. Keep good records of everything these thugs say and do, and record calls if you can.

Telling your story to the FTC and attorneys general will help other people in the long run, but will not likely solve your immediate problem. While you wait for a rescue, you get only a year from a violation to file FDCPA claims. Remember the thug collector drew first blood when you were insulted, lied to, and intimidated. When your rights are denied, a legal sock in the jaw is the least you can do for repayment.

As is custom with a new phone number, I am getting calls from various debt collectors for the previous holder of the phone number.  I have the phone line  connected to a fax machine, so all they get is a fax tone.  I will continue to use the fax machine until the nuisance calls stop.

Debt Collector
This is a junk debt collector. The threats they are leaving are illegal because they are lying and if you keep records they can be fined $1000 dollars every time they harassed you after you send them a letter to stop. Just found this out in my state. Che k your state.

I just received a call regarding an old visa account and they stated a 1099C debt forgiveness has been filed with the IRS and if I don't clear it up my driver's license will be suspended. They were very rude using foul language such as F*** and so on.

These scammers are operating under the name:

N&G Capital LLC
4245 Union Road Suite 103
Cheektowaga NY
14225

They have a website ngcapital.biz which is registered to a "Neal Esford"

If these people have tried to contact you, I recommend saving all voicemails and call logs from your phone, and reporting them to your state's attorney general, as well as the New York state attorney general. Do not pay them anything, do not give them any banking information. What they are doing is illegal, and will be stopped as more people report them to the authorities. They are breaking multiple state and federal debt collection laws and regulations and use bullying and fear to trick people into giving them money.

Debt Collector
Most likely what has happened is these clowns have bought some old debts of yours for pennies on the dollar. What they fail to tell you is that depending on your state of residence, a debt older than 4 years old is considered "time barred" which means IF they had the nerve to attempt to sue you, you would have an affirmative defense and their frivolous lawsuit would be dismissed. In regards to their supposed attempt to "garnish wages" from your employer, unless they have successfully obtained a judgement against you in your LOCAL court, and filed for a writ of execution to enforce the judgement, theres no way that they can touch your bank account, your wages etc. In regards to "stopping a process server from coming to serve you papers" Do you really think that a process server is going to call you in advance to notify you that you have a court summons? Process servers are good at what they do and will find you if you are truly going to be served, however these people have no real legal claims against you, and all they are is trying to scam you out of your hard earned money. If anyone is actually able to convince these crooks to provide them with a valid mailing address, please post it here, as I have some legal documentation of my own to send to them. #1 failing to identify themselves as a debt collector. #2 Failing to send a dunning letter after initial contact via telephone. #3 repeated calls to my personal cell phone and business land line after notifying them that calls are inconvenient. They are quickly accumulating violations by the day, and it is only a matter of time before they are sued. Be proactive folks, use the internet as a resource and don't fall for the games that these crooks are trying to make you play.

I also got a call from them stating I owed a bill from 2006 and that if I did not pay it I was going to be taken to court. It was a really scarry and threatening call. He told me that the people they get to serve the summons are druggies and ex cons. Who says stuff like that. He stated he was from Indiana State Legal Services. I googled the company and got nothing. I called the company he claimed I owed the money to and they had no idea who these people are. I have turned their info in to that company in hopes they will do something about the fraud calls.

I got a call from a "Mike Kaiser" today from this number claiming to be with the Ohio State Legal Services that I am being summoned for a court appearance for a malicious attempt to fraud, defraud, claim and a check to claim. Said he would serve at my residence or he'll be escorted to my place of business to serve in front of my immediate supervisor or human resources manager . Stated that tangible asset for lien purposes would be my 2005 Lincoln Aviator and even stated my license plate number. Then he left a call back number of 855-201-7955 stating that federal law requires that I be given time to contact the complaintant.  I called that number , got a voice mail Anna Smith is not available then a bunch of recording garbage then cut off.  I have searched extensively for Ohio State Legal Services which only resulted in finding lawyers for people that can't afford them and zippo on the phone number. The scary part is knowing my social # and my car info. I've had calls from this number before where they called over and over but they all had heavy accents and were extremely rude and threatening. After 2 years, I've never been summoned. It's a big scare tactic to try to get money from people because they'll help you solve the case if you pay them a settlement fee.  I'm sending the recording to my local police and notifying my bank about the threat against the car.
