I received a threatening Voicemail saying i was summons filed against me with my social and security number and they was employment verification firm.

This company just called me and called me all types of names and told me I was scum living ion food stamps and welfare. And I better pay them before my rent was due. So, with that I am contacting the Attorney Generals office on them.

I got the same message.  Didn't call back.  Said they had my name and SS#.  Have 72 hours to call back before legal proceeding.   Different number but same scenario.

Received a call from this number a couple of weeks ago. Guy said his name was Michael Drake claiming to be a lawyer with the law firm of Drake and Mcannon. Proceeded to tell me, that I was going to be served with a court summons, because I owe money on an old credit card debt. He then proceeded to tell me, that the Bank of Delaware(where I supposedly got the credit card from) would settle out of court for the amount of $1,769.17. I was told that if I didn't pay the money, I would be taken to court, and charged with theft of stolen goods, grand larceny, and embezzlement.

got call 2/27 530pm - this guy was very forceful- threatening a complaint being filed against you call back on 888 217 9288 - somthing about the county.  listened to message several weeks later, looked on line and found your reports. it's a scam.  another similar call came in 2days ago sounding much more official to have to go online and find out what the complaint was about.  No way  - i cannot find the url - it was something like complaint.com/ *and here I'm to put in my phone # to see what the county wants.  I had just been to the State to renew my driver's license, so I was like... what is this?...
i did not call, i'm reporting it here.  If there is anything official they will mail a letter on official letterhead.  so do not respond, especially through your computer--- you will crash & burn... do not!

My roomie received a call from 855 217 9288.   When I called back they wouldn't give me any info and called me an ignorant little "c" .. Needless to say I was more than ticked off.   Roomie called and they wanted to verify and asked if the number belonged to a Sherry and he said no.   Well that wasn't good enough for me so I called again and he again said I was ignorant ..was filth because I didn't pay my bills .. I told him he doesn't know me or my financial status and he said it doesn't matter, I'm still filth !!

I just received this same message. I falled for this back in September and sent money and believe me I will never fall for another scam ever again.

This just shows how ridiculous these clowns are. They don't even know who they are calling with their stupid scams and threats. They have no authority over anyone, legal or otherwise.  Just report and ignore any calls from Drake and his band of flunky morons.  Do not waste your time calling them back.

Yep, that is the exact same thing I was told, to contact them within 24 hours. And the guy wanted to know what phone number I was calling from

Here is the call I got from this number: 855-217-9288 "To review all voluntarily options. This is twenty four hour notice to contact DM and Associates concerning a complaint being filed for

8552179288. To review all voluntarily options." I called them to check it out but the guy did not even the name of his company. He just said "What number are you calling about?" Don't waste your time on these guys.

I got a call from this number yesterday afternoon. Guy by the name of Michael Drake called me, and proceeded to tell me that I owe money for a credit card from Bank of Deleware( which I do not remember getting). Got one from 855.217.9288 again this evening...about the 4th or 5th one I've gotten.  I'm gonna roll the dice that it's a scam of some sort.

I called back did not give them any personal information though. Do you think anything will happen?

They said I had 2 phone bills with a company I have never dealt with or heard of, for $500 and $700. The charges were made in NC, where I have never lived. Either they are really stupid or there is more to this scam because they did not have the ss#, address, name, number of phones, or anything else correct. I do not know how these people go to sleep at night without their conscience talking to them.

I just got another phone call from the same number.  This time he identified himself as Matt Russell from DM Processing.  Gave me the 72 hour warning this time and threatened state and federal refunds, which would be difficult since I got my refund more than 2 weeks ago.  Still didn't give any identifying information about me, just "you and your social security number" like the message on Saturday.  Thank goodness for caller ID.  The number they give you to call isn't the number that shows up, though.  The call comes from 855-217-9288 and the number they say to call is 888-217-9288.

I'm glad I decided to check Google first before calling back.  I got a VM on my work number Saturday with a recorded message telling me I had 24 hours to call back 888-217-9288 to avoid any further proceedings.  Didn't mention me by name or anything, just said action is being taken against "you and your social security number".  Sheesh.  Identified themselves as D&M & Associates

Got the same message about a guy Mike Russell saying that there was a federal complaint filed on me n my ss# n it involved my state n federal tax return. Idiots I've done received it and if their was anything wrong with it the IRS wouldn't call me anyways.. told me to contact DM processing.at this 855# SCAM!

I just had the same exact incident early this evening. I called back and boy some idiot was rude when I got nasty with them. They hung up on me...so being the southern strong girl I am I called back...freaking idiots!

Matt Russell with DM Processing called tonight, 2/18/2013, & left a voice message on my cell phone, which is on the "Do Not Call List".  Matt said, "there is a current complaint filed against your name & social security number".  He then said, "Do Not file federial or state taxes because you have only 72 hours before a formal proceeding takes place".

You are definitely correct.  They just dial numbers with their robo dialer  then wait for some one to call back then they can threaten them with the DM and Associates scam of the day.  They just want someone to call back, then go to their fake website and pay them money by paypal.  Do not waste your time calling them and never give them any info, name, address, SSN, etc.  Report to every law enforcement agency that applies.
They have no legal authority over anyone.  This is just another of the many stupid scams by a bunch of morons.

I am sure if you asked them to give you the social and name of the person THEY JUST DIALED, they wouldn't be able to
