These people called me tonight but left no message. They called me once before. Who the hell are they?

ID says "Research Center" - which always means evil republiscammers.  Blocked the crooks.

This f****n a***ole calls and when I pick up, it did not say a word but to hang up on me.  My caller ID shows that it's a Research Center in Union, Kentucky.  They're a telemarketer.  Too bad no one knows the exact location.  Hopefully someone would find this f****n caller and kill him/her.  This way nobody would ever get anymore annoying calls from them.  I do hope this f****n a***ole sees this message.  Damn him/her to hell.

I got a call from the Research Center, but I never picked it up it was 9PM and to it is probably a scam for info about your house hold or family.
They never left a message either.  What does that tell you.!!!

Just called the number back and got a little music then a recording that they are either busy with someone else or closed.  Does not tell you who you are calling either.  They tell you the days and hours they are open and at the end of the message it says you can leave a detailed message (name and phone number with area code) if you would like to be removed from their list.  I was not leaving my name....obviously if they have my number, they already know my name.  I told them my number was to be removed from their list immediately and that it better go through their  whole system because I do not want another call from one of their dozens of different numbers. I even stressed that I have no idea how they got my number since I pay to have it private and unlisted. This is the first time I have called one of the numbers back and gotten an option to leave the request to be removed.  Either it would just ring and ring or ring once and you get dead silence.  Guess it was just luck to get through today.  Hopefully they will removed my number because if they do not, they will be reported.  Tired of the calls for donations for the fraternal order of police and for votes for an idiot running for some office with elections being on the 24th of this month.  Try calling the number and see if you get through.  It's worth it if you can get your number removed from their list.

the do not call registry is a joke.  I contacted someone once about the fact that I am getting calls like this (government, state, etc..) always when it is close to an election.  The registry told me that they can not do anything about those type of phone calls, they WILL come through.  What the hell is the purpose of having the registry to stop getting these unwanted calls if they are letting everything through???   I am hoping that these calls will stop after the election day 6/24.

They interrupted my dinner--- so I talked to them about zoo animals.  They hung up.  I love wasting the time of those that try to waste my time.

This number has called 7 times within the last 48 hours.  Annoying!!!

They claimed to be from a research center inquiring about vaccines (specifically pertussis). It's freakin' 9 pm and this is our land line number. They wanted my daughter's names/ages and the address of their doctor, along with my demographic information. They claim they would pay me if I qualified.

I pay a large phone bill every month.  I find it difficult to believe that there is no way to stop these harassing phone calls.  I have gotten SIX calls from this number in the past two days....three of them since noon today.  ENOUGH!!!!!  

The Research Center states it is from the State of California Lottery Research Center. The caller identified himself, and then proceeded to ask me a battery of questions concerning Super Lotto, Scratchers, Power Ball, ad nauseum. I am not an enthusiastic lottery player, as it seems most winning tickets are bought at liquor stores, not my usual places to shop.  

My husband picked this up by accident;  someone asked:  Can I speak to someone in the household who makes the decisions about the children's vaccinations?  

We don't have children in the house anymore.     That was it.

Vickie.. you need to contact the FCC . www.fcc.gov.   All you are doing here is telling other citizens like yourself about your experience, so hopefully none of us gets scammed.  I come here when I see a suspicious number on my phone, and it has saved me a few times!!  This is a VERY worthwhile site, but there really is nobody here that has the authority to make anyone stop.  Sorry

@Alabamatoo.... this is just a site to report calls to your fellow citizens , so we can help each other NOT be taken in by scammers.   TO actually get your complaint to someone who has some authority to do something, I believe you have to contact the FCC.

I believe almost everyone here, myself included, is on the DNC list.  It does no good.  It was a big show put on by the politicians to make it LOOK like they were doing something..  And they were.. blowing smoke up our butts as usual!  lol

Called at 8:59PM! Research company calling on behalf of UW Wisconsin with immunization questions. Pain in the a** with more ways than one.

Rec'd call from this number - I didn't pick up and no message was left.

I'm trying to hunt down the name of the company and address so I can report them to the California and Florida states attorney offices.  They have called every day and every day they have been told to stop calling.  Yesterday I informed them that continued refusal to take my number off their calling lists would be considered harassment and tonight they called again. If anyone knows the mailing address or corporate name for this "Research Center" I would appreciate.

This number calls on Sundays and after 9pm. They do not stop calling and have managed to wake me up 4 times out of the 6 times they have called. I have tried calling the number back and I get no where with it. I've about had it with them waking me up. Mine also says Research Center. I believe its a scam as well since you cant reach anyone to tell them to knock it off and its automated when you pick up.It's getting old and I can't believe it can't be stopped.

THEY HAVE CALLED ME EACH EVENING FOR A WEEK....I TELL THEM NOT TO CALL AGAIN....BUT THEY DO ABOUT 730.    TONIGHT HE WANTED TO ARGUE WITH ME.  GET IT STOPPED PLEASE.  WHO DO I REPORT IT TO.  THE ID SAYS RESEARCH CENTER.

They leave no message. I called the number twice. A recorded message identifies it as a research firm then disconnects. When the call is received and, you answer, there's a delay in the other end responding. This leads me to believe it's a computer generated call and rings back the caller when an answer to the place call is received. This tactic is generally used by debt collectors.

Called @ 1:16 pm Eastern..... caller id indicates RESEARCH CENTER.....

Am on the no call list too. Keep getting calls from this number on my cell which I know have set to auto reject it

I've never had anything from an 858 prefix that didn't turn out to be a scam of some kind. Didn't answer this one, but the last one was the fake computer support people. I have my phone set so that callers have to press one to acknowledge that they are not sales people before they are put through, and these people do it anyway.

Receive calls on my cell phone every evening between 5:30 and 8:30 from this number.  Based on the information found on the internet I have not answered the calls.  Have programed my phone to reject calls from this number.

This research center so they say has been calling me for over a year!! Stop calling!! I've been acting like I'm a massage parlor when they call now...

I keep getting calls from 858-401-7167 "Research Center" and want the calls to stop!
