I rent my water heater with Direct Energy. They have been calling me everyday and it's really annoying. I went their web site, got their customer service email and gave them my number. I said that if I receive one more call from them, I cancel my service with them and will call Reliance Home Comfort immediately. I said I Dare them to call me one more time... so far. No calls.

What the #&%@ do they want from us!!? They keep calling me 2-3 times within an hour for days! Is this a new marketing strategy to annoy ALL protential clients?? Gonna to put them on my block list.

No one should trust them, either Direct Energy or Enbridge.  What Direct Energy does if you pay them for a water heater is blame everything on Enbridge when it breaks and won't fix it.  Direct Energy should be contacted and told to stop using Enbridge name because they do they blamed everything on Enbridge. If Enbridge wants to associate themselves with scum like this they deserve the bad rep.  Well would anyone continue to rent a water heater when you can buy one for a fraction of the price.  I was stuck since my landlord did that so I had to pay but I stopped paying right after they refused to do the repairs.  Can't wait for them to come after me for the money because they will have a fight on their hands.

lady caller asks for mr. ........  , I answer " one moment please, I will get him ", put the phone down and walk away.  My way of dealing  with them.

We bought a phone from Panasonic where you can input up to 30 phone numbers you want blocked.  This is one of the numbers I put in the list....it rings once and then the call is dropped.

OMG this number calls my house during the day at least 7 times and it's been happening for the last 2 weeks.  So Melanie I don't really care if Direct Energy is affiliated with Enbridge or not, you should take these complaints to your president and do something about them.  I would like to also tell them to f* themselves if they would only stay on the line long enough.  As soon as I ask why do they keep calling me after I have already told them that I'm a renter and I'm not interested they hang up on me. So bloody rude.  So sorry but they are making Enbridge a bad name.

Did what you suggested they are still calling, sent an email and filed a complaint with the do not call police.

I get a call daily from this 1-855-228-6574 as well as weekly calls from various numbers for furnace duct cleaning services (like they think I am stupid enough to hire morons who violate the CRTC's do not call list). After futile filings of complaints, I found that the best the CRTC can do is disable the duct cleaning telemarketers number, which they counter by activating a new cell phone or thru Magic Jack. As far as Enbridge/Direct Energy, I am an Enbridge gas customer, they are entitled to pester me under the rules of the Do Not Call List whether I want them to or not. I finally found piece of mind by purchasing on ebay a device that blocks phone calls. Once you receive a call just press the black list button and that number is automatically disconnected forever. It can be programmed to block calls from "Unknown Number" or from ####### or ******* and so on, up to 1500 numbers. The blocker gets its power from the phone lines and allows you to add or remove numbers from the black list. You can black list outgoing numbers as well though I do not use this feature. They run around $80-90 and effectively do what the CRTC seems incapable of doing with the Do Not Call List Program. The blocked numbers are displayed on the blocker and will ring the phone momentarily for 1 ring, before the line is dropped. I haven't had a conversation with Direct Energy or Duct Cleaning Morons since I installed the device 6 month ago. I just get used to knowing that two rings or more is a legatimate caller and a single ring means that a telemarketer was disconnected faster than I can pick up the phone. And if it is some new telemarketer, I just block them out from my world!

I'm getting a call from this number three times every day for the last month. It disconnects right after I answer the call

I got 3-4 calls daily from this number for quite sometime and finally got so fed up that I sent a complaint email to Direct Energy. I told them to stop calling my number and within 48 hours, no more calls from them. This is the email address : csdirectenergy@directenergy.com

These people have been calling up to 5 times per day since May!  Do they not understand that this harassment will only affect them negatively as I have now decided to go so far as to purchase my own water heater so I have ZERO affiliation with this company.  My neighbours are all doing the same.  Never have I had ANY company/telemarketer/etc harass me obsessively like this one.

Please stop calling me.  I know who you are, and I would no longer pick up the phone when you call. However, it's annoying and an invasion of my privacy.  I will never buy anything from you.

Could not make out the Pakistan sounding voice.  
Witch could have been selling poison apples for all I know.

Multiple calls to my number non stop.  Rogers charges 5 dollars to get the call manager for you to block numbers.  The Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications commission complaint wont work cause it's not a canadian number.

2 or 3 times a day for months now.  Throughout the day, morning, afternoon and even late evening.  Never leaves a message.  Very annoying.

I currently have no services with them and don't want their garbage.

If you call the number back it goes straight to a voicemail that you have your number removed but I don't have any high hopes with that.

If direct energy is making annoying phone calls they are knocking on your door wanting to see your bill ????

i have been getting these calls for months now. it says its calling from the united states and i live in canada. sometimes up to 8 times in a day. I have called my cellphone carrier but unfortunately they are not able to block calls. I have no idea who is calling but its quite frustrating.
