I got papers from this "Northern Resolution Group" in response to a BBB complaint on a debt collector (claims to be "legal outsourcing company") called Global United Arbitration, LLC, that had called to collect on a payday loan they claimed my daughter had taken out.  Mr. Phil Butifuco, of Alden, NY threatened 'warrants being issued Monday if not settled for two counts of fraud on a financial institution.'  He represented that the debt was still with Cashnet USA. He asked me if I "would like to help her out and pay the debt.'  And demanded my debit or credit information several times, which I refused, before agreeing to email anything in writing.  The letter Mr. Bifulco sent me clearly shows "Current Creditor: Global United LLC"  The amounts do not even match.  Mr. Bifulco was trying to collect over $1000.00 more than even what Northern Resolution Group had added on.

Why can't the FBI or government put a stop to these types of criminals?  This is ridiculous that we have to sit back and deal with these ignorant people calling and wasting our time on BS.  Hey I think we should tell them that they owe us money and when we get our money then we can pay them what we owe them.  hahaha UGH!

They called from 716-235-5751 and left a message. It was a recorded message, didn't state who they were only that it was in regards to a dispute I had made. I've made four dispute inquiries with different collection companies so I dont know who they are. They gave 855-242-9670 as the number to call and resolve the dispute.  No thank you, I want all correspondence in writing!

I got a call from Northern Resolution Group due to the fact I filed a dispute on my credit report. I looked them up on the site that gives out surety bond for debt collections in Texas and they do not show up at all. Now I am writing to the 3 CRA's to get that trade line removed as they are not licensed to collect debt in my state.

This was the return call number left in a voice mail message left by 716-568-7617.  It was a very polite and professional sounding message, but the beginning of the message was not recorded, so the company name was not left.  They indicated that they knew I was disputing a charge on a credit account, and they 'know how important it is' for me to get this issue resolved quickly.  I have already blocked a couple of different numbers from Northern Resource group who uses voice mails that sound just like this.  Trying to state that I owe on payday loans that were never taken out.  So if they say it is about a bad check, it may be that they are trying to say it is from an online payday loan.  These guys are scamming, whomever they are.  My physical address is registered with the collection agencies, so anyone legitimately trying to contact me can and will do so via the postal service.  Nothing is legitimate unless it's in writing.

I did have some issues with credit accounts getting behind when I became unable to work due to post-polio and another congenital birth defect.  I struggled for 3 years to get my disability approved.  Once that got resolved all of the past debt was resolved.  These bottom feeders find information about past debt you've had and scramble a bunch of the facts, then come at you with this info in order to make you think there is still something out there that was not taken care of.  I know for a fact that I paid two bogus claims like this when I got rattled by their phone harassment...before I knew my legal rights in this matter.

Please know that they MUST give you written verification of the debt within 30 days of their contact.  Never pay anything to any company over the phone from cold calls like this sort of thing.  DO NOTHING without written verification.  I was truly astonished to learn how rampant this sort of phone/debt collection scamming is.

this company is northern resolutions group, they say..it doesnt exist they say there names are marc, david and tim. they also represent the companies dell-ray capital which doesnt exist and cooper financial which doesn't exist...they are supposedly in amherst, I told him I was in amherst and if he would just me the address I could come and see them. He laughed and said that cant do that, just cant give out that information. oh please, get real. i am defintely going to wait on the letter that I requested from them...If it will really come who knows.

Idk who they are but I was given this # by another collection agency, stating my account was sold off to them. It was supposed to be for Northern Resolution Group, which they are listed on here, with multiple stories about trying to fraud people. When I call the #, a lady comes on & asks you to leave a message with your info, but doesn't state the name of the company or her name...when I press 0 for the operator, there doesn't seem to be one......idk...sounds waaayyyy to fishy for me...
