Called every day for at least 4 or 5 days. Couldn't understand them due to heavy accent. A.d.p. I understood but nothing else. Sounded like a collection call but sh??????e gave no info. Didn't know who she was looking for. Said I needed to call another 888# with a reference #. DUNNO ????

Legitimate call from ADP payroll service. Was waiting for their call, but did not answer because it did not say "ADP" on the caller id. When I returned the call to this number the recording says that it is an outgoing call number and to call their ADP service center number.

Employment verification.  Very strong Middle Eastern dialect....difficult for this country gal to understand.  

Caller said they were from Sutter Business Center - sounded more like collections >.<

ADP is a payroll company.  We found this call to be legit.  They were verifying references for a previous employee of ours and had all the correct information - none of which was supplied by us.  Only one way to get information that specific, had to come from our past employee.  He was a good egg too, hope the new job works out well for him. :)

Someone I know  who works at ADP. They called me.

Called our office twice. First time, nobody responded so I hung up. Second time heavy thick accent asking for HFP?? Informed them "wrong number". He asked me if we were "HFP". Once again "Sorry wrong number". He asked "Can you help me find HFP's number". I told him "Try Google" and hung up.

Someone from this number identified himself as "Allen from ADP" and said he wanted to verify student degree information.

Just received a call from this number saying it was ADP doing an personal reference check on a friend of mine... problem is i called my friend and she stated that she has not used me as a reference since back in 2008 with her first job, since then it has been business references she has used, the caller (Yolanda) gave me a different number than what the caller ID said. ill be looking into that number as well. I WOULD NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION, had I not known my friend was semi looking for a job i would say this is a complete scam. looking in further to this,.  

Just received a call from this number stating that they were with ADP making sure we were going to call in on time and process payroll. We do it on-line and had just received the checks already this morning. We NEVER call it in. I feel this is a scam - beware!

Contacted our company to do employment verification on a former employee.  Legit call, as far as we are concerned.

Female caller from India called conference room 5 times in less than 5 minutes, each time asking to verify employment for a person we've never heard of. Each time was told that thery are interrupting a meeting in a conference room and were given the HR phone number.  Apparently did not want to follow legal employment verification instructions on HR line and called the conference room again.  Think we need to file a complaint with the Feds on this one. Ridiculous.

They keep calling a conference room phone,  asking for a person who is not employed here.
We've asked them to stop calling.

I've been getting calls from these people for over a week. A lady with a heavy asian accent was asking for a man who was not me, and I did not know him. She wanted some form of confirmation. How do I get her to leave me alone?

Identified themselves as ADP screening - name was for a friend that told me he was job hunting and had used me as a reference. All seemed OK here - didn't ask for anything confidential - Just wanted me to confirm the years worked, full/part time and job title.

Just received a call from this number (12/14/2012 9:15 AM) -- were calling for a professional reference for a coworker who is changing jobs. Seems legit, he gave me a heads up that he was switching companies and asked if he could use me as a reference, so call was expected.

a reference of mine was called from this number asking strange employment questions?  I need to know who is doing this?

Called and left a message about needing to verify employment on a former employee. Couldn't understand most of what was said.

They were calling my employment references but didn't say for who they were calling(what company I had applied at) so my references were confused. Said the man had a middle eastern accent... and asked a lot of employment questions. I have sent my resume to several companies, and ADP does the background checks and such for some of those, but they really should tell the references for what company they were hired by!

I got a call from this number all the time. they would leave  an empty message ( seems like they are only listening) and not answer. I do not owe anyone anything and had no collections and yet these useless and dumb people have nothing else to do but annoy the wrong people. How do I make them stop calling?

They wanted our business email and business fax number to send us a request for employment verification.  Instead, I asked her to go to our website and click on the CONTACT US link.  That way we keep our email and fax private
