sounds like they have a voice changer.  I don't owe anyone anything.  The address they gave was completely wrong, never even heard of it.  when I asked them to repeat it, they gave me more addresses that I used to live at over 10 years ago.  total scam.  serve your papers!  No one needs to call you to verify your address before serving you papers.  That is just stupid.  I happily collect my Roth IRA from my accounts overseas.  I'm untouchable byotches!

The address they gave me was wrong.  They called and asked me to verify my address to serve papers or to change my court date.  They are lairs and for that, I will never pay whatever they claim I owe.  I put a block on their phone number so they called me from a cell phone.  Just another scam.  Pretty sophisticated.  Ask for the court date, case number and verify with the court.  Nothing comes up.

its true. we do make quite a bit of money. its really all about weeding out the professional debtors out there. the people who really intended on defrauding whoever it was they were receiving money from from the people who wanted to pay their debt but something unfortunate happened. and by the way its completely legal for a 1st party debt collector who now OWNS your debt to legally pursue individuals who owe said money. granted there are collectors out there who do take it too far as saying the sheriff will serve you with papers. but that's all about which 1st party collection company is run with more structure and professionalism. if you don't give a sh**t about the phone call that was made to you or you have no concern. don't acknowledge it.

so did they ever serve you or do they just try and get you to call back? I have this number calling me and asking for my old married name which I havn't used in 20 years. They say they have important documents to serve and state my address then they say they need validation if my address is correct and to call back to veryify. Did you ever get this resolved or find out who it is?

They called my Land Lord telling her that She needs to call back regarding legal docs that will be sent to my house.. I called BMG or "Bahama Marketing Group" today at 855-265-4043 to find out what is going on and they threatened me with imprisonment if I do not pay my credit card bill. The guy yelled at me; called me a thief and hung up... I understand a simple collection call but to harass me with imprisonment and call me a thief is absurd! I will call the police if they harass me again. Google "BMG Debt collectors" and you will see hundreds of complaints about scams with this company.. WTF

This debt collect called my brother claiming to be BMG Law and Associates telling him he was being served papers at my address not his for a law suit that doesn't exist. They are harrassing my family for a bill that no longer exists.
