Total scam. I have flawless credit and no debts. They got my work number and full name and left messages asking for certified delivery of debt. I never actually spoke to them but I'm guessing they thought they could scare me into paying a small amount since they new where I worked.

wonder how these people wake up every day and look in the mirror

Called my children , frightening them into believing I was in legal trouble.  Claiming to have legal papers to serve me.  When I returned call, they were extremely abusive, falsely accusatory, deceptive, contradicting themselves and the person calling to serve papers.  Called my son , asking about an  address where he had lived  five years previous, saying they had tried to serve me papers at that address.  Really?  They would go to another town, to my sons address to serve me papers?  I accused them of being a scam before reading online.  Now I will also call FTC and report.  I even told them that they could not treat me in this way, but it just continued.  I spoke with Bill Spencer.  What a jerk.

My husband had a voice mail message on his cell phone and the caller stated that there was an emergency in the area and to call 855-277-4359 to make a statement.  The call came from 855-286-2360.  I was tempted to call both numbers just to see who answered and ask them what emergency?  But I decided to check out the numbers on the Internet first.  Our call didn't seem to have anything to do with debt collection.

Company has been harrassing me for several weeks. Called family members and old friends I have not spoken to in over 6 years..  I finally called and spoke to Anthony James who said I had a court date and was being sued.  The county he mentioned the court date was scheduled for was not accurate. Told me I had been drop served saying someone left a note at my door. In order to be served someone would need to personally hand me a letter and that never happened. Refused to mail debt validation to my home or provide a company website/address. Called me at my job I told him I could not accept the call at work and to call my cell phone. He hung up on me and immediately called my supervisor stating he was sending sheriff's to my place of employment. Every call he violated FDCPA. Later that day I called back to advise not to contact my employer and he was violating my rights. He told me to I need to shutup! I have called multiple times since trying to obtain an address to send a cease and desist letter and have been hung up on every time. 2 others called also asking for an address also were hung up on. I got a phone call again at my work stating "If I do not stop having people call their firm it won't end for me"  I'll take that as a threat. Contacted the FTC. Business is not listed on BBB. Will follow up with attorney general.

Oh where do I start with these people!! They've been calling me for months now looking for my EX-husband. Everytime I tell them we have no communication and for all I know he could be dead. Their "associates" or whoever they are call from restricted lines wanting to find him and deliver "legal documents". They are never upfront when they call. They ask "is this Mrs. B" and I of course ask them who they are, they quickly spit out the name Levy..d...sdsklhffdkfd. They ask for information from ME about ME also. If they are looking for someone who I have clearly stated multiple times, there is no need to ask anything else...you would think.
The calls stopped for about a month and today I received the call from a restricted line. I told her again no communication with him and that I had repeatedly asked to quit being contacted. She apologized then continued to ask me questions. Asked me if I was friends with him on Facebook (I'm not but how is that any reputable company's business?!) and then asked me if I had any kids with him, still nobody's business! They really crossed the line when they called my mother and left her a message. They did not state what company they were with, only that they had "legal documents" and needed him to call their #. So I decided to contact them directly...what a mistake!!
The woman answered after one ring and slurred out the name of the company. I had to ask again who she was. When that was finally established, I let her know of the situation. Gave her his name. She had to have my info to remove me from that contact list. Then I went off and dropped a little f-bomb. She told me no need to get all angry and cuss, she was not the one who had been calling me and she understood as she had something similar happen to her (then why would you work for such a place, REALLY?!). I ended up giving her my name. She then asked for more personal info, which I refused. I told her everything I had read about that company said they were SPAM so I did not feel comfortable with giving my info. I was then informed that anyone can write stuff on the internet and that (this is the good part) she could google me and look me up every which a way and find out all kind of dirt on me. She could even call my ex-husband and probably find out all kind of bad things about me! (if they could do that...wouldn't they). So at this point, I laughed at her. I said okay, my next step was to contact my sheriff's department, the BBB, and whoever else I could. She told me to do that and she would write a blog about my dirty mouth. So keep an eye out for a blog about me, I cuss sometimes!!

Going to continue to pursue this so I will give an update when I can!

These people called me today about a bank charge off from years ago.  They first started by saying they had some legal documents being sent to me about a very sensitive legal matter and that a package was being sent in the mail.  The original debt is like 700 but they wanted 2200.  They said they would settle for 1200 and then wanted my bank account information.  I balked at giving this to them and they put me on hold, I eventually hung up.  They said this was about to go to litigation.  At one point I asked if there was a judgement against me they said no.  They kept talking about how this debt is still on my credit report when it isn't (I just got a car loan a few months ago and I have seen all three versions of my credit report).  They did NOT claim to be trying to collect a debt.  I will be reporting them for illegal collection practices.

Received two calls from "supposedly" Anthony Salcedo looking for an acquaintance of mine. #(702)720-5872. I knew it was a scam since they had her maiden name that she hasn't gone by in 14 years. They also called my ex-wife to get information on this so-called debtor. When this person called me a liar and hung up I went ballistic.
Another person talked to me claiming to be the manager, John Ramirez.
After I got off the phone I filed a complaint on three different State of Florida statute violations as well as the Federal Trade Commission. I discovered these people are not licensed debt collectors and are just a SCAM.
Tell them to quit calling and you'll see them in court for your supposed debt.

I just received a phone call from these people at work. The lady asked if this was the best to place to deliver certified documents to me and I replied yes. She then asked if there was an address that was better suited for me to receive them them, and I told her know because this is where I am at during the daytime. She said they could not receive entrance to me to deliever them because I work at a Correctional Center. I told her that they could go to the front entrance and I could meet them there to sign for the papers. She replied that this would be too time consuming. I told her to send it Certified Mail through the postal service and she said they do not use the postal service. I have received plenty of "certified mail" through the post office before so I do not see why this "law office" cant do the same. They had called me NUMEROUS times in the past and I have added my phonenumber to the "DO NOT CALL" list. Now they have tracked me down through my work number.

I just got a call from a man claiming to be from Levy Donowitz & Associates and that they will be delivering a certified mail and that I am being sued and will be serve papers to appear in court.  This time they give another phone number as 855-277-4359, the other times they called me was from 855-255-5070.  They just keep pestering me.  I have already reported them to the FBI here and a fraud alert. They are a bunch of  scammers.

These same people called and left me a message saying they were trying to serve my mother with legal documents. They have left multiple messages and no attempt has ever been made to deliver the "legal documents".  Definitely agree this must be a scam, too many similar stories.

I'm on the don't call me list. These guys called to make sure "ms x" would be here to receive a package tomorrow. I told them that 'ms x' is a friend.  I assume they are attempting to locate her and were trying to get her address from me.  They probably acquired my info through FB, but the fact that they knew my address and phone no was disconcerting. I asked what sort of package, and they said sealed, cert'd docs.  I learned that "ms x's" relatives have been receiving calls claiming that she has a court date, etc.
I asked for their name, and they gave me a different one, which I should've written down, but when I called them back tonight I learned it was Levy, Donowitz, and Associates. They said nothing about being a debt collection agency during the call. Liars and law-breakers. I should sue them for waking me up!

Levy, Donowitz, and Associates are resorting to illegal practices -- verbal abuse, harassment, and even threats of violence and lawsuits -- in an attempt to squeeze money from consumers for the debts the company has purchased... they call from 1-702-727-1958   &   855-277-4359

You?ve never been late on a loan or credit card payment, but you start receiving calls from debt collectors. The frequency increases, and you even get a voicemail message that resembles this:
?This is the Civil Investigations Unit. We are contacting you in regards to a complaint being filed against you, pursuant to claim and affidavit number D00D-2932, where you have been named a respondent in a court action and must appear? You or your attorney will have 24 to 48 hours to oppose this matter? Call 757-301-4745.?
The message sounds official, but you are being targeted by a debt collection scam. These scammers use fictitious names that imply they are affiliated with a law firm.
These scammers threaten that if you don?t pay, you could suffer serious consequences, such as being sued, being arrested at work, having your wages garnished, or forced to appear in court thousands of miles from home. They call you at home and work, and they often know information about you and your family.
Despite the threats, these ?debt collectors? don?t have any power over you.  Don?t give in and pay money you don?t owe; it?s likely scammers will just be back for more. Below is advice on how to deal with these intimidating calls.
What to Do if You Receive a Harassing Call From a Debt Collector:
The best protection against debt collection scams is simply knowing your rights. Here?s a quick overview.
Ask the debt collector to provide official ?validation notice? of the debt. Debt collectors are required by law to provide the information in writing. The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor and a statement of your rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. If the self-proclaimed collector won?t provide the information, hang up.
If you think that a caller may be a fake, ask for his name, company, street address, and telephone number.  Then, confirm that the collection agency is real.
Do not provide or confirm any bank account, credit card or other personal information over the phone until you have verified the call.
Check your credit report for by going to annualcreditreport.com or calling (877) 322-8228. This will help you determine if you have outstanding debts or if there has been suspicious activity under your name.
If the scammer has a great deal of personal information about you, be safe and place a fraud alert on your credit report.
File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission if the caller uses threats. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act prohibits debt collections from being abusive, unfair or deceptive.

Anthony James & Miss. Kalsbie from Levy-Donowitz&Assoc. keep calling me saying they are going to serve me "Legal Documents" but they never do!! I think this is a SCAM!!!

State of California Department of Justice
Office of the Attorney General

A collector cannot represent themselves as anyone except a collector and must tell the person who owes the debt that he or she is trying to collect the debt. Likewise, a collection agency cannot use any words or symbols in its notices to make the person who owes the debt think the notices are legal documents when they are not, or that they come from anyone other than a collection agency (15 United States Code sections 1692b(1) & 1692e; California Civil Code section 1788.13.)

This is a scam!, dont believe what they say.

They pretend to be a law office, but check your public records at the courthouse first before giving them your debit card number!
