I received a call from John Underwood of Stonewood Consulting Group again today. Last week, they called and said I had 24 hours to call them back and then today, he called and said it was the 2nd and final attempt. Just unusual that a creditor would give 24 hours and then not call back or send a letter and then call in a week and give another 24 hours. I have dealt with creditors in the past and they will send letters when they are serious, not just phone calls. Also, I have researched this Stonewood and seems they are a scam. The phone number they gave to call was 844-788-1705 the 1st time and he gave a different number the 2nd time. It seems they have many numbers from my research.

Is Stonewood Consulting Group a legit Company? The mans name was Joesph and he gave a case number. He said we had 72 hours to resolve it. The phone number they called from was a private number. The number they said to call was 855-436-9113

Tell them to go ahead,I'm going through the same thing. They are bluffing. Call an attorney to pursue them if they continue,there are laws against this harrassment.

They answer as Stonewood Consulting, but give no further information.  They've tried twice calling a cell phone.

Receiving harassing calls this phone number claiming to be Stonewood Consulting Group. No website available, asked to send documentation to me regarding the matter. Claimed that they would and did not. I was hung on up on and spoken to unprofessionally. I suspect that they are a scam.

LET THEM KNOW THAT YOU ARE AWARE OF THEIR FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY AND HAVE ALREADY NOTIFIED THE AG, AND FBI FOR FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY OVER STATE LINES.  ALSO TELL THEM THAT THEY ARE BEING RECORDED FOR PROSECUTORIAL REASONS AND THAT CONTINUED FRAUDULENT CALLS FROM THEM WILL CONSTITUTE TELEPHONE HARASSMENT.  LAUGH AT THEM WHEN THEY TRY TO "SCARE" OR INTIMIDATE YOU BECAUSE THEY ARE FRAUDSTERS AND IT'S IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM TO "JUMP THROUGH THE PHONE".  TELL THEM TO GIVE YOU THEIR BEST SHOT AND SEND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES BECAUSE THERE IS NO LAW, IN ANY STATE (THAT I'M AWARE OF) THAT ALLOWS A DEBT COLLECTOR TO CRIMINALLY CHARGE SOMEONE ON A CIVIL ISSUE.  THEY DON'T MIX.  HAVE FUN WITH THEM AND ASK THEM WHAT LAW THEY PLAN TO BRING YOU UP ON CHARGES FOR AND THEN ASK THEM OUT OF WHICH STATE. THEY CAN'T BRING YOU UP ON ANY CHARGES, ESPECIALLY ONES FROM ANOTHER STATE IF THE "CIVIL" DEBT WAS DEFAULTED IN YOUR STATE.  IT'S ALMOST LAUGHABLE.  HAVE FUN AND PUT THEM IN THE HOT SEAT.

I keep recieving calls from this agency Stonewood National Bank. From the other comments I've read this company has clearnly changed their name from a consultant group to a bank. The call is also now a recorded message that inserts the name of the person they are looking for. Thankfully, it isn't me but they are calling for someone I do know. I've blocked the number several times in the past few months but the scammer finds another number to call me from. Its all just a scam do not fall for it.

They can't  do anything if its a online payday loan 90% chance the co don't have license and in some states it's illegal for them to do loans check the state you live .

This company is trying to make money off you  90% of online payday lending is lllegal and operating with out license and in some states these lenders can't do anything if someone borrows and don't pay it back so companies like this stone wood group try to harass and threaten you into paying cause that's the only chance of collecting money and if they are  successful at collecting from you they get a fee from the lender that's how this company makes their money that's why they get rude and nasty when they cant intemidate you into paying.

This company has been calling my husband NON STOP,  saying that they will be issuing out a civil suit and etc!! They were very very rude and unprofessional.

I have been receiving harassing calls from Stonewood Consulting Group for at least a month now -- regarding a debt owed by someone who does not live at my address, nor has my phone numbers. This company has been calling on my home phone and also on my cell phone. I contacted this company this morning and was connected with a Linda Carey (Ext. 105) -- I tried telling her that the person she was trying to reach does not live here. She was very rude and hung up on me!

Received voice mail on 03/06/2014 regarding an outstanding loan I owe which I have made payments on. They started the message off by stating that they are sending a judgment on me from Morristown, NJ court and they are coming to my door if I don't respond with in 48 hours. I called them and spoke to a very unprofessional woman by the name of Melinda Carey. She stated the same thing verbally and I advised I have been making payments to the said lender and she stated "I we don't have them." And I stated that I can show her the bank transactions. She interrupted and stated "That doesn't help me and this is what you need to do." "Call the place to see where the payments are."  I called the lender National Credit Adjusters who stated to call Northern Resolutions Group, LLC. Spoke to a David who stated that "to called Stone Wood Consulting Group and get a letter and I will be all set."  I called Melinda Carey at Stone Wood Consulting Group who stated that she will send a letter that showing I owe "$1576.25 from the original owed amount of $976.25."   I received the said letter and it has Stone Wood Consulting Group on the header and the place to pay is with Northern Resolutions Group LLC. I Called my lender today and they confirmed they a have never herd of them and because they threatened me they are 99.9% sure that it is a scam.  I googled the consulting groups today and it is a reported scam to collect.  Also, Stone Wood has gotten into my personal contacts and reached out and left messages with my friends.  Also, I googled them because Melinda Carey stated that during yesterdays phone calls that "we are a real comp may and if you google us you will see a lot of negative reports about us that we are a scam."  There are hundreds of reports about them, please stop them!!!
I have blocked and reported their phone number. I also received three text messages after Melinda Carey had emailed me asking if I sent a group text with a with a suspicious email link, I stated "no I have not and to delete them."  Also Melinda verified my personal information for me and I know privacy laws they are supposed to ask the caller to verify their information. Melinda stated that "I have all your information in front of me, your name, birthday and email even your social security number."  My fault forgetting the loan but not my fault for getting scammed.  Melinda was rude and unprofessional using profanity in the call stating that ?We are working on these computers that are so sh*ty and they are just crap.? To name one example.
They have been reported to the Federal Trade Commission.

I have since filed a complaint with the CA State Attorney General's Office. I have also filed a complaint with the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau with the original voice message attached. I have also Tweeted news organizations (NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, FOX) about this scam.

Woke up this morning to a message from Lisa Starke from Stonewood Consulting Group saying I've been named a defendant in a suit so I'd better call back before charges are filed. I am fortunate to have NO debt, and haven't had any for eons. So, like everyone else said, this is a scam? How do they get my # and last four of my ss??

I keep getting calls day and night from these people. They threaten everything from wage garnishment to getting locked up for fraud. I've asked repeatedly for documentation for this so called loan. All I got was attitude from some a** hat claiming he was a claims investigator. After a few days John underhare stuffed calling instead they had a fake process server call me. Hey clowns when ur number shows up on my caller I'd I know it's you whether you claim ur a process server or not. Avoid these dirt bags like the plague.

I have received Phone calls and voicemails on 5 occasions from a John Underwood claiming he worked for Stonewood Consultant Group... he said I owed 900.00 on a payday loan that I don't even remember making and he wouldn't even tell me what company I made the loan with but said if I pay 336.00 today they won't Sue me or pursue legal actions with the law...I asked for written proof of this loan before I pay anything and he got rude and said he could only send me an email proving it...then said if he didn't hear back from me that I need to keep proof of who I am on me cause the police would be coming to serve me papers and to take legal action!!...

GOT A PHONE MESSAGE FROM THIS NUMBER, SAYING THEY WERE A PROCESS SERVER AND NEEDED TO SERVE WITH COURT PAPERS. THESE PEOPLE ARE CRAZY.. 855-278-5593.

Some guy left me a message on my phone and said this is a serious matter and that I needed to call back or my counsel should call concerning this matter. Even gave me a file number to give to them. He said may bank had cancelled payment and that I needed to respond.

I received a call from Stonewood Consulting Group at my place of employment for a woman I don't even know.  When I called the number back, they of course wanted to collect on a debt.  I started asking questions and they immediately hung on me.  When I tried to call back, no one will answer.  

Suggestions?  The call came from 855-278-5593.

This company has been harassing me about a account in which I never opened and gave me a phony old account number and now are saying they will press charges against me what do I do? I don"t even know how they retrieved my cell number because this is a number I just retrieved last year.

I've gotten the same voice mail the last two days.

Got a call today from some woman could barely understand her think her name was Lisa Simms told me I was going to be sued over a Net Cash or Cash line account. I told her I never had such an account and had no idea what she was babbling about. Dumb woman started mumbling that Cash Line or Net Cash would be suing me. Asked for documentation of so called debt. Her reply was to hang up on me. First off I don't need to b bothered and work I do have to work for a living. Second off if you going to threaten to sue me at least be able to speak clearly and not sound like a damn fool.

My mother received a call from a lady named Melinda Carey.  I called back the number and dialed the ext 105 and Melinda answered and I told her that she called my mom and said she needed to serve me and repeated the docket number she gave my mom and she said that I had an outstanding debt that I needed to pay.  I told her that I continually get harassed by this company and she said " you don't pay your bills, elect, water and phone" and I said I do she said go live with your mother you b..... and hung up the phone.

Received a phone call today leaving a threatening message. Called back and spoke to some person who refused to identify herself. Just kept telling me I was going to he sued but refused to give any documentation

Have received several threatening calls from this number about an internet loan, who also say they are connected to Northern Resolution Group.  They threaten garnishment, judgment and court, but refuse to send any documentation or paperwork, validating the debt or any information about their company.  The representative continued to threaten and got louder and louder throughout the conversation, disregarding my request.  He kept saying that I was refusing to pay and I corrected him each time, demanding some proof or verification which he claimed they have sent.  Who are these people????

Received a nasty voice mail from Stonewood Consulting Group. Caller (who failed to identify his own name) said that it was it was in my "best interest to have myself or my counsel call for an immediate voluntary resolution."  that they had received a returned item from my bank." FYI - I haven't had a bank account in years.

A message was also left on my voice mail by John Underwood claims investigator for Stonewood Consulting group, claiming notification of an intended suit.

Total wrong number. Never heard of the alleged debtor!

Called the jerk, and was treated with rudeness and disrespect.
