I agree with that statment.. And if this number calls you, it's because you have a relationship with airmiles
and airmiles sells us your info to contact you in regards to an amex product. So we have every right to call you at your home, work or any other place because you agreed to it when you signed up with airmiles. Even if you are on the national DNC, we still have the right to call you because of your affliation with airmiles, so if you're going to complain, complain to airmiles..

And if you don't have an affliation with airmiles, it's most likely a wrong number, so simply tell us and we wont call back..

Everything is legal and honest because you as an airmiles collector agreed to it.. Next time read the fine print.
And every company nowa days uses an automated dialer, even big names like walmart, TD, BMO, Costco and even the government of canada.

I suggest not doing the latter part of that statement and "waste our time" because we know what you're doing, and we get paid hourly so we'll play along and continue to waste your time as well.. and at the end of all of it, we'll call you even more.

I'm sorry to the people who feel like we bother them, but alot of people apply for this card through us.
Again we call because when people apply for airmiles, they agree to a disclosure allowing us to contact them, because it's an airmiles promotion.

If you would not like to be contacted, simply pick up the phone, ask to be put on the DNC and hang up the phone. We will not be offended at all.

There is no reason to complain, cuss and be ignorate to telemarketers because it's a job, a real job, real money for people that can't find jobs, part-time, students and others.

It is not minimum wage, and we get a full benefit program through the same insurance companies most of you use.

And yes, we may push you and you may get aggrovated, but that is our job, if we don't do that, we lose our job. At pushing people works alot of the time. So when a person pushes you to the point where you are aggrovated, simply ask to be put on the DNC and hang up.. We would be more than happy to click DNC rather then listening to you rant. And if you say to put on DNC, we have to, it's the law.

And lastly, all call centres use an automated dialer. So it's not us directly calling you, it's a computer.
And because it's an automated dialer, there is a wait time, from when you answer and when we recieve the call, usually about 5-10 seconds.

And to say we're uneducated is a very ignorant thing to say considering we convience people like you to get our product, so who's the smarter one ;) plus alot of us are in school getting degrees, this is just for the extra money.

So next time this number calls you, it's probably going to be me, and just remember i'm a person just like you, making money the same way you do.. So either say "put me on DNC" and hang up, or i'm going to push and push until you are convinced you want the credit card

Wah, wah, wah!  Telemarketers who call in violation of the DNC list should expect to be yelled or cussed at.  Is it right to do so?  No.  Then again, it's illegal to call people who are registered with the DNC list.  Tell you what - why don't you post your phone number, so all those people who "need to make money" (don't we all?) can just call you instead!

No need to be rude and condescending. People need to make money, just don't answer your phone if you don't want to be bothered.

It doesn't matter if they are stupid or intelligent, legal or illegal, polite or not and what ever else has been discussed about the callers and their companies. People are quite simply fed up with the number of unsolicited calls they receive at their home.

Now if you don't like getting the calls, start screening them using caller ID and if you don't recognize it don't answer. If it's important they will leave a message and you can return the call. All the scam calls can be set up using a silent ring or blocked. Under no circumstances ever buy anything or answer any questions except to mislead them. Never return calls, check here first.

Phone calls are, in most cases, not that important. Don't play into their hands by answering. If you must answer then waste their time by talking for ten to twenty minutes without buying anything. They make money by selling so rip them off by wasting time and you will find you get fewer calls.

lots of calls from this number recently. called it back, its American Express. They want to get you using their card. I suppose recent online costco purchase has some thing to do with that.

Quite possibly.  However, what they are doing is illegal, if they do not comply with the various rules the Federal Communications Commission and Federal Trade Commission promulgated.  Honest companies do not call people on the Do Not Call list, or who do not have previous business relationships.  Honest companies do not use robocallers.

Lets get this straight, I do not work for the company nor do I have anything to do with amex, I do not work at a telemarketing job. I also get repeat calls from them. The agent I spoke with was informative, polite and just simply doing her job.

Lets set some things straight here... when they are calling you, they are simply performing a job... a job they need to feed themselves to take care of themselves in this expensive thing called life... Maybe the job is lucrative, maybe it works for them, whatever the case it works for them. Who the hell are you guys to sit there and be so ignorant to tell people to get a "Real Job" do they get benefits? do they get paid? Do they pay Taxes?  WOWW!!!! HOLLY CRAP ITS A JOB!

Received call and let it go to voicemail with no message being left !!  I called back and it was American Express/ Air Miles promotion looking for someone that has not lived here for quite a while. They said they would take me off their calling list, time will tell.

I just got a call from these people and told them to "eff off." The past few months I've been getting SO MANY calls from crazy numbers, I don't understand it and it's so annoying.

REPORTING: 1-855-286-0676 for nonstop harassing phone calls all day without disclosing who they are.

These clowns have phoned me 7 times since the 8th of February. Sometime the ID is blocked and sometime the number is ID as Amex-AIC. I wish that they would stop calling my number because they don't leave any message.

This number has been calling every day for the last week.....getting really irritating.  Never leaves a message and I never pick up.

That's the 2nd time this week these clowns have phoned my number. The 1st time I answered as I belong to an association (AIC) which is the Association of Independent Consultants. I thought that it might be concerning the association. No one spoke when I answered. They just phoned again but NO message was left. I wish these clowns would get a REAL job that doesn't annoy people.

I have told them 5 times to call me after 5. They still continue to call :(

This number has called us EVERY DAY for almost 2 weeks in a row! I finally picked up today with the intent to request our number be blocked/removed from the data base...and said hello 3 times and THEY hung up without every saying a word to me! So irritated. I'd better not see more repeated calls to my number from them!
