called them was a bunch of fudge packers wanting to take you up the butt for your money

I received a few calls from Ms Castleman stating that I owed 1600 dollars and that the state attorneys office has my name and I will lose my drivers license if I don't pay.  Does anyone out there share the same story?

I really dont like all the calls saying this is not a survey call but an attempt to collect a debt. If I owed money it would be a different story but I owe no credit cards or no back to work loans.

My Husband just got a call from 855-286-1922 stating they have a court date. He did what you should do, ask what county and when, ask for them to send a certified letter of the copy of the court date.  It was someone named Janet Poole claiming fraud had taken place on a debt owed to Everest Cash.  Beware of this, it's a SCAM.  She couldn't answer what county and also claimed they attempted to garnish wages.  Pass this onto anyone you believe to be vulnerable to this type of crime.

I received a call from 855-286-1922 telling me that they received a note from my bank returning a bad check from me and that I needed to call them right away to clear up the matter before my credit got ruined.  I know that is not true, plus I have received such scam calls before.  They did not use my name or anything to indicate that they knew who I was, and they said I should give the case number when I called, but they did not give any case number.  It was clearly just a general scam designed to scare anyone into calling them so they could try to get information out of me that they could use against me.  These people need to be stopped.  They will find gullible people who will be taken advantage of.

Note that I  have VOIP (I have AT&T) and let the calls go through to message, our system won't erase until I tell it to erase so I can keep messages indefinitely. I can even save them out to a file. If you can save your voice messages you should do so as a record.

The fact that it doesn't even give a name and it cuts out at that part, plus that it's saying my bank account has issues tells me it's a scam. Don't call back, don't give them any of your information.

I got one this morning from 1-646-430-9811, but the message tells me to call an 855-286-1922 and give them my case number. The message doesn't even give a name, it bleeps out the name when it's played back.  Call came across as NCS, but he says NCW on the message. Says it's about a bounced check at my bank and I'm supposed to call with council to make resolution to this problem. I'm pretty positive that Wells Fargo would call us if there was a problem with our account and why would I need legal council for a bounced check? Unless I wrote one for one million dollars or some stupid number trying to get funds that I don't' have.

The creepy thing is that it sounds like he was using a voice altering machine to talk through.

So I hope nobody gives them the time of day. If you have caller ID, just let it go to message. We're on the do not call list, but it's worth crap anymore. So many calls like these get through anymore.

Someone from this # keeps calling me.  You don't ask for anyone my name, nor do you leave a file #.  You do mention that I will need a lawyer.  1st - I will contact the BBB, the police, and a lawyer for harassment.  I have no outstanding bills.  This is a big ugly scam.

I have a private business phone number and have been receiving up to 6 calls a day for someone not related to my business.  My return call today to 855-286-1922, I got a person on the phone that refused his name or supervisor after I asked, he also refused to remove the number, he told me he was not obligated to do that.  The original number he called from was 646-430-9811.  I called back again an this time he answered with the name of Mark and again refused to remove the number from the database,  this has been turned over to the State District Attorney office, the Better Business Bureau and the Federal agency in control of the FDCPA.  When I asked who they were calling about he provided a name that has never been associated with my business.  BE AWARE!  KEEP ACCURATE NOTES OF ANY CALLS FROM THIS "AGENCY", THEY VIOLATE THE FDCPA EACH CHANCE THAT THE GET.  I HAD TAPE EACH CONVERSATION AND THOSE ARE ALSO BEING SENT TO THE APPROPRIATE AGENCIES.

I hate that they are still calling me.  You are a telemarketer.  Take me off your list.  DO NOT CALL ME ANYMORE.  LEAVE ME ALONE....

Got a call fromt his number stating something about a fradulent check.  Haven't had a checking account for over a year and never wrote checks before that.  Tried to call her back, but of course no answer, just voice mail.  Not sure what to do.  Anybody have any suggestions?  They even called my mom.  I don't even know how they got my information, let alone my mom's information.

Oh please.  Nice try, but no one is that stupid.  Rather than trying to make this number appear legit, just go out and buy another Magic Jack.

The caller is most likely the offshore payday loan scam that's out there (it's been going on for years) then while they may persist in their threats, there is nothing they can or will actually do; they are just trying to scare you and extort money from you based on their threats.

i got a call stating from them i owe charges from years ago from i advance. i was stupid to believe them and tried to settle, but after further review i dont owe them anything. now they are threatening me on my cell phones with a case number attached and asking me to confirm my address to recieve papers.

Mr Clifton from MCW called and said he was with the litIgation dept and I needed to call him back today regarding my pending legal case that has been filed against me  from  855-286-1922. I would appreciate him not callimg my job.

This is National Credit Works we're discussing, another MacKinnon sweat shop known for illegal practices. You do not make "arrangements" with lawbreakers, you dispute them and sue if necessary. I have to say this is not a scam. I at first thought so. Even after I made arrangements with them was still not sure.  Did my homework.  I went back to the company I had really forgotten I owed.  Called them up. They gave me the name of the collection company they sold debt to. Called them; they gave me the name of the CA they sold to; called them and after 4 companies...Spoke with a nice young mans who pulled up my account and told me that he sees where I spoke to an Leagal Assistance and sees the payment arrangements. Told me the dates and amounts.  :) I got my letter emailed to me as promised from NCW.
I have to say I called and panic and was about to cancel all.....Ms Johnson called me back. Bottom line is that I owe this debt and rather I had forgotten about it 2 years ago or not, it now has to be dealt with.  Best advise I can give is that if you owe it, find a way to talk to these ppl and work it out.
If you are rude with them, they will be rude back. Yes we have rights, so do they.  

Right at Christmas time I don't like having to budget this money out but hey I will have to do what I have to do!

I got a message on my answering machine from Mrs. Castleman who said she is a legal assistant at NCW.  She told me to call her back at 855-286-1922 extension 105.  I called this number a couple times and reached voicemail.  I have no idea what this is about and think it's a fake and not a legitimate call.

I got a call from a Mr Sanders from 855-286-1922. He actually called my cell phone then my job and left a message stating to call him back.

I received a threatening message on my work number from a Mr. Clifton at this number, extention 109....I am not going to even call them back because I know I've done nothing to warrant a pending legal case that myself or my attorney should call them back.  Must be a scam!

I keep getting phone calls from this number saying there's fraud allegations against my Social Security number and they gave a case number and said I need to have a voluntary statement along with my attorney's information?! This "so called"  place has been calling me since this past June! They call my house and cell phone. I called them back and left a message stating "Do NOT call me anymore or else I will seek legal action for this matter" They STILL continue to call both numbers and I'm highly upset. What can I do? Obviously this is a SCAM! I even checked my credit report and there's nothing from this NCW!

i got a call the other day from this number saying they were from NCW. the woman said the call got nasty and they would like to settle out of court if at all possible. She also said that it is being held against my social security number. What should i do because i have no idea what is going on or why they called me

they called my work. i'm not allowed personal calls so they told the receptionist to have me call chelsea at ncw and it was about fraud allegations! i cannot believe they left this information with someone at my workplace. i could have been fired! i know it's a bill collector trying to scare me into calling but what the heck. they have no right to nearly get someone fired from their job!
