Called by a gentleman who said he had court papers to serve me and when I asked what he was talking about he switched me to someone who identified himself as Special investigator Patrick O'riely and he began to tell me I had 4 charges against me one of them being bank fraud. and I was looking at jail time if I did not resolve this issue so like a dumb a** I fell for this line of crap I am disabled and I could not see my self in jail for any length of time so I willingly agreed to there payment plan to avoid court and jail time. they have taken me for 237.44 but no more I canceled my card and filed complaints with the authorities I feel like such a moron for being scammed Only after researching did i learn I was a victim Thank you to everyone who posts their run ins with these dirt bags.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

I got a call from a man saying he was with County Court Services and threatened jail time, court fees needing a lawyer etc. unknowingly I paid him money. When I check my credit statement a few minutes later this company came up. I feel like such an idiot and now I can't afford groceries because of these people. I called the company he claimed to be collecting the debt for= nothing I already paid them. I called our court system=nothing. How do these people do this?
kat 2013-11-05 16:51:29 Debt Collector
These people have called my dad and another family member telling them about court papers. I called the number back and told them that I had the right to see the debt in question in writing within 30 days. I would not be dealing with them until that happened. My family and friends were off limits. I don't want them bothering my family and friends for no reason. They can follow the rules or go home. I don't owe any of these debts.
joanna 2013-10-24 16:52:28 Debt Collector
This company is a piece of crap. Trying to get money using scare tactics on bogus debts!
Cindy 2013-10-24 15:37:08 Unknown
They also called me today saying I missed a court date... the hilarious thing is they claim to have served papers that were signed at an address I haven't lived at for 10 plus years. Seems like a scam to me.
shan 2013-10-16 18:17:52 Unknown
They just called me too and gave me a case number saying I missed a court date? This seems like a scam. They said the company was a firm by Regina Brown.
Jen 2013-09-03 18:43:43 Unknown
Keep receiving calls from various numbers that keep coming back to this. I never pick up and they never leave a message. Phone # this time : 855-342-4854

Anyone ever heard of Integrity F.Group? My husband and I have apparently been scammed by them as well as Northwestern LLC. I am so upset with ourselves and these d-bags for doing this crap. We are now getting calls from a DCM company at 877-257-6398 and they are pulling the same crap as these other two companies. Rude a** people who leave nasty messages and are even nastier when you try to figure out what they are talking about. They don't want to send any proof of what the debt is and just threaten with getting you arrested and going in front of a judge. Put my husband in front of a judge then. I would rather deal with a judge than these nasty a** people.
Amy 2013-05-09 22:56:55 Unknown
Oh yeah, mine was Advance America also and they use a place out of Austin, TX not any out of NY
Amy 2013-05-09 22:55:29 Unknown
I was just replying even though this is older...I "finished" paying off my loan that I knew I had to this same guy, got a letter from them stating it was paid off and everything back in Oct. 2012. Today, my ex calls me and tells me someone is trying to get ahold of me. Called the place and they say the same pay day loan place and that I owe them money. After arguing with this new company, I called the pay day loan place and talk to them, they still say that I owe the money and actually gave me the name and number to the company that they send there collections to. Needless to say, I kept myself from getting scammed a second time, but I hope that you didn't get taken for as much as I have. I would recommend calling the corporate number of whatever payday loan advance place you went through.
Laneca 2013-04-05 13:53:05 Unknown
These people are truly scamming people. I have received calls from several people and now they are calling me blocked. I told them today if they can not send me something in writing I will not be dealing with them at all. Send me to court if it is a issue. I rather talk to a judge because right now I don't feel comfortable dealing with this company. I advise any one not to give in to them at all.

One more thing Becky, Google debt collections and your rights and read. There is an abundance of information that can be both helpful and reassuring. It can really give guidance in how to handle these Toads.
Put on your boxing gloves and don't let them scare or intimidate you. That is usually their only weapon.
Don 2012-10-31 13:47:25 Unknown
Becky, I'm sorry you were taken by them. The horse is already out of the barn on your previous payment but were it me, I think I would first start by contacting Advance America and ask them if the loan was paid. Explain to them what is going on and see what information they can input. Did you actually owe for an unpaid loan? (don't answer that on this board) A trick that the scammers use is that they will get a credit report on different people to see how their credit rates. They can see who they had credit problems with and determine that they would be a good client to scam by making them believe they owe for something that they don't . If Advance America says you owe the debt, try to work it out to pay them, not some drive-by collector. If they say you don't, when john calls back, tell him. And also, be sure to ask him for his company name, physical and mailing address, Business phone number (not the 1-855 garbage) and tell him that you want complete proof and validation of the debt, the original owner of the debt as well as the original amount, IN WRITING and IN THE MAIL. If he asks for your address, don't give it to him. He should already have it so don't volunteer any information that he probably doesn't have. If he offers a settlement of a lesser amount, don't accept it. You will be admitting to liability and renewing the Statute of Limitations on the debt, should it exist. He has 5 days by law to provide that information to you and you have 30 days to dispute his claim. If he say that he does not have to give you any information, He is lying and he is indeed trying to scam you.
Then tell him that you will not discuss his claim or any legal issue with him without first getting the validation and information that you are entitled to by law under the Fair Debt Collections act.
Good luck...

A company called and tried to collect money on a debt that I know had already been paid but threatened with legal action. They knew my last 4 of my social and my date of birth so I thought it was scary. I set up a payment plan. Thinking on this very hard, I wanted to do some checking on Northwestern Agency LL. They called me from 855-652-5036. I also called the county in which they said I had papers waiting to be served, and surely, I wasn't even in the system. I have stopped payment and blocked my card.

Just received a call from this number - 1-855-342-2706. Urgent matter which must be discussed.
Chris Conner - Said there was an issue with someone I knew and my name was on documents they had. A bit too arrogant on the message "I will be in the office all day expecting your call" to be taken seriously with no real legal documentation received.
How annoying.
