This number has called me 3 days in a row saying they are serving court papers on Friday and that I will be sued in Civil court.  If that's true, then why call me from a BLOCKED number?  I used trapcall to figure out the number for this joker.  Just another 800 number from NY.  Besides, a "private processor" is not going to deliver court summons to my home.  That will be done by a constable or the sheriff's office.  Not some guy trying to instill fear.  Don't buy into their scams.

Any comments left on posts like this claiming these calls are legit is just people that work for these scam artists.

yes i received the same call 3 yrs ago and agan on yesrday. And when i told these goof balls i work for the agency they were pretending they worked for they hung up. I called back and cussed some man out and filed a report at my local police dept. Yea i actaully work for the county!! Stupidty!

He says that he is from Check Management Group, not "Chuck"...  It's a company that is supposed to be in Buffalo NY.  Either way, like you said, its all a scam...

About this 855-363-6702 number. The guy said he was a mark calloway. I looked up the name. Mark Calloway is the wrestler on wwf or wwe. He is the UNDERTAKER. I called the number again. It said it was Chuck Managment Group. I looked this up. ITS A BUSINESS FOR DISABLED, DISTURBED AND HANDICAPPED CHILDERNS HOSPITAL. I believe it is located in chicogo, illinios. Said I should be home on wednesday to sign some legal papers.  Would be there between 2 and 4 in the afternoon. Said he knew where i worked. Well MR. CALLAWAY, WHERE WERE YOU? I CALLED YOUR BLUFF. I ALSO CALLED THE PROPER AUTHORITIES. They will be looking into this matter. I want to see this guy come from California to South Dakota just to sign some papers. What the hell ever. As the district attorney and sheriffs department said. ONLY THEY WOULD SERVE PAPERS, NOT SOME IDIOT. You need all the help you can get right now. You messed with the wrong person.  What people will go through just to scare people into giving them thier money. DO NOT give anyone that calls from this number any information. IT IS A SCAM!!!!!!! I would like to know if i should reply to this people. A Mr. Kelly called me today saying that he is going to serve me papers tomorrow and to call this 855 363 6702 number with a refference number. I do owe some money but should the mail you a settlement offer before taking you to court?

These people called my mother's house saying that if I didn't contact the"claimant", papers would be served on Friday at my residence. The guy identified himself as James Eldress. I will ignore it and wait to see who "shows up" at my door.

This is a scam.  These sleazebags often get info from legit sources such as old credit reports or applications made via bogus websites,  and then try to get you to think that somehow you owe someone something you do not.

While it?s a pain in the backside, let your bank and CC companies know someone has stolen your information, and follow their guidelines.  
Do not call them back.  If you pick up their calls, you just cut them off by saying ?I deny I owe this? and hang up on them.  If they call you back and you have one,  then blow a whistle in their ear.  Sounds silly, but it works wonders with these extortionists.

I just got this same call and the same message on my cell phone.

I've been served papers before (for other reasons) and when you get served, they don't call you and they don't require ID.  They just show up and when they can't find you, that's when they try to contact you by phone.

People avoid being served, and for that reason, you will never get warned that you are about to be served.  Therefore, this HAS to be fake...

Received a call from this number. He says he has some legal papers that need to be signed. And that if I did not that they would pursue this matter. Said his name was a Mark Calloway. Tried to call this number and never got through or would not answer. I have recieved calls from the same person before. I called a couple different courts. I called the sherrifs office. I also called a few attorneys on this person. THEY NEVER HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. AND HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT. The local authorities told me it was some kind of scam. I JUST received the  same exact call and they called me Private and left a message stating that he was calling on behalf of the county I live in and that he was calling me as a courtesy and that he had some papers that I needed to sign regarding a subpeona and that he would come to my home this Thursday and if I was not there he would serve me the papers to my job.  I called the number back and I spoke to a guy named Bill Stock ext. 109 and in my case this was a pay day loan from like 4 years ago!!! WTF!! My accounts back then never changed, so if you didn't get your money then that's your fault!! Smh...these bill collectors will try any and every thing to scare you into making a payment.  I told Bill Stock, I'm not paying anything over the phone they need to send me proof that its even my account that we're talking about.

I just noted above.  The guy that answered has my file.  Knew who I was, said he's left automated messages which I have been receiving but can't figure out who to call when they are cut off by my answering machine.  He said not to accept the papers and they could work out payment arrangements.  Told him I believe someone else in his office just called me to scare me to get me to call them.  He had nothing to say about it.  Since I was looking to pay old bills starting next month and the debt he referenced is mine, I agreed to payment arrangements.  He told me he recommends I don't sign any papers from anyone.  I laughed and said how much you want to bet the other guy never shows because he's in the office next to you.  He had nothing to say except that he would recall the papers if he could.  Funny, how these guys are.  All they had to do was ask for the payment arrangements and not lie.  lol

Check management group. At first the guy said he couldn't help me and did I have the right number.  Then he went to get my file.  He knew who I was and my soc, so it must be real.  Guess it's a debt collector and I'm getting served.  yay.

Supposedly I'm to call that number for more info with a case # for reference.
