Our country is not in debt because of people not paying their bills. Were in debt because we keep bailing out country's that if they could, they would turn there backs on us in a minute and bomb us, if only they had better weaponry then the US.

They have a different number with every area code and then more.
Jamie 2014-03-10 13:45:23 Unknown
They have a skip tracing tool where they can find all you family members and their family members, also your neighbors. So if u don't have the same last name as the person there calling for, there probably calming because it's a neighbor of yours. Collection companies are dirty and do everything and anything to get the money that way they can get a bonus check at the end of the month. That's all they care about.
Jamie 2014-03-10 13:41:35 Unknown
They have to remove your work number if u tell them to. If a janitor at your workplace answer's the phone and tells them to stop calling they have to stop all calls to that number immediately. It's the law. I know I worked collections for years.

Read this very carefully. This company is one of the newer incarnations affiliations of Profile Management on Seneca st in buffalo ny. No matter what delinquent account they are calling on. And you debtors definitely owe. Don't pay or put up with them. Do not bother quoting FDCPA or FCC. Simply google nys attorney general consumer fraud div in buffLo ny and ask for Karen Davis. Tell her what's up and tell her this is profile management with new Kmart clothes on. She'll be up their as s quick

I personally worked as a debt collector for two years (i was a nice one i promise! i even let a poor girl pay 1 a week to help) and this company disgusts me, i know the FDCPA like the back of my hand and they break SO MANY LAWS! First of all, how can you be taken seriously when I call you and you answer "hello?" or "This is theresa how can i help you?" not only that but their aggressive talk and threats of "police" and "court" are ridiculous, YOU CANT BE ARRESTED FOR A DEBT! and payday loans are not technically bounced checks as they only cash the check if u dont pay the store in cash (btw...how are customers suppose to prove they paid when payday loans only accept cash?? hmmm!!!!!) anyways, their break every law in the FDCPA book, they are all in the same office using different numbers (i caught one of the reps mention a prior call i made before the rude rep hung up on me but yet he was in new york and she was in sc? HMM!!) anyways...its b***s*** i already spoke with FDCPA and local law enforcments and they agreed

Was told that I had a payday loan from 2005, and now is considered writing a bad check I asked what was the case # was not given they just kept asking for my ss # I refused to give them any personnel info and now they are sending the police to pick me up @ work or home?( I should say I work in a law office ) So I asked if they have the correct address they hung up on me.

I wouldn't pay you a dime just so I could read more of your bitchy little shill posts. Bring out the popcorn and soda, they're quite entertaining.
TSTEXGIRL 2013-08-13 14:58:24 Unknown
So please explain how you can just get buy someone's debt, with their personal info and all and think they are just going to give you money? Well heck that is some hot mess if I believed that this can happen. I rather pay my bill to the original creditor than some collection agency anyday.
Gunnar 2013-08-13 14:54:00 Unknown
Getting a little upset there, SHILL?
You want people to pay their debts? So do I! But ONLY to legitimate creditors or collectors who strictly adhere to the FDCPA and all state regulations!
You have legal title to a persons debt? PROVE IT!! As per the FDCPA. You can't or won't do that? Then it's simple. You're a fraud. NO exceptions! If any dirt-bag bogus, or fraudulent, collector refuses to adhere to the law it means he is illegally attempting to collect an invalid, or purely bogus, debt. ALWAYS! NO EXCEPTIONS!
Be Safe. Be Aware.

Sooooo, basically what you are saying is, if all people who incur a debt pay those debts off on time and in full, you would be out of a job?
bill 2013-08-13 14:42:47 Unknown
half you people are retarded...in most stated u dont need a license to collect debt. and especially dont need one to purchase or sell it. this all comes down to the original creditors selling your debt to MULTIPLE agencies...yes i bet alot of you are getting wrong numbers for sure, for people you dont know...but most of the debt is legit debt that you scum bags take out and dont pay cuz you know that eventually the statute of limitations will expire....bravo debtors, take debt out from financial institution and not pay them back. this is part of the reason for the financial system collaspe. Man up pay your bills. If you can pay your bills and just wanna come on here and bi*** and complain saying they are a fake company then file bankruptcy. This country needs to take responsibility for their actions and this type of stuff wouldnt happen
C 2013-08-09 00:18:50 Unknown
Got a call today and was told that since that I had ignored previous attempts that they would pursue further collections without any of my input! I don't have the first letter of validation and the letter that I received months ago looked fake!!! They also keep calling from different numbers too!
Debbie 2013-04-23 17:46:34 Unknown
I another harrassing phone call from this number again today. When questioned, they talk in circles and make no sense.
Jay 2013-04-19 00:51:23 Unknown
Called and left a message with a file number. Ignored them.
Suzan 2013-04-05 14:50:17 Unknown
Please post the address, so I can send mine there!

I called back and very politely asked the name of the company. The lady told me it was 4 Star Capital And verified they were a debt collection agency. I explained to her that she had a representative posing as a lawyer and it was against law to threaten with a lawsuit if they had no plans to file one. I explained that I had every voice mail saved and my lawyer would contact them. She started screaming at me also, telling me I didn't have to tell her the law and to shut up, then hung up on me once again. They are still calling me and the man has switched his name from William Frye to Dave Hill. It's obviously the same guy. That voice is one if a kind! So, my lawyer friend and I have drawn up a request of validation letter and will be sent in the next day or so.
Michelle 2013-03-18 18:30:17 Unknown
I called them today after they called my brother in law leaving a very detailed message, which is against the law according to section 804 and 805 of the FDCPA. When I told them on the phone that they were in violation of the law she promptly began screaming at me and hung up on me.
Csmitty 2013-03-06 19:27:06 Unknown
I called the number back and asked for office name and address and they hung up on me..any 'respectable' debt collector would have no problems with providing me with info. That's why I'm suspicious of this company.
nicole 2013-02-22 19:44:47 Unknown
So, all of you that have posted were contacted in regards to a delinquent debt? They contact in people in regards to a bad debt thats why they have your social and particular account information, also you can review the documentation. And because of these postings, this is why you're choosing not to pay now? Most debtors need an excuse to help justify why they aren't paying. 4 Star & Profile are legitimate licensed companies in all states in which they resolve matters, and anyone who has paid can tell you, their credit reports have been updated, and documentation is always given for their records...

Shannon, was your debt with GE Capital / Old Navy?
CSmitty 2013-01-29 19:13:33 Unknown
Received a call from 4 Star today or someone representing' them (William Frye) claiming they had tried to contact me regarding a debt and that they are looking at filing a civil suit at my local small claims court. I've never received any letters from them. I called the number back and a lady answers and asks for the ext but doesn't identify herself or company. Very odd. If I'm not mistaken, this is the same company that called me and said I was a contact person on one of their accts for a past debt for my father. I haven't spoke to them but thinking I should ask them to validate the alleged debt and see if they come up with anything. Lol!
shannon 2013-01-24 15:49:30 Unknown
i was very satisfied with the way 4star helped me get out of the situation i was in ..you people on here, are only hurting yourself... by not taking care of your past debts voluntarily..instead you go on here and blast a company who was trying to help you out in the 1st place ... thank you very much to the rep i spoke with she was very kind understanding and most of all very helpful in resolving my delinquent debt
