Caller said he was Captain O'Conner from Dominican Republic. "Granddaughter in serious trouble and was in jail and needed $4,000 to bail out". Same scam as above, needed to go to CVS and get Green Dot money pac cards and call back to 855-488-6576. These idiots prey on the elderly and don't care who they rip off. Area code 855 is not assigned to a geographical area so calls could be from anywhere. Don't fall for the grandparent scam or Green Dot scam!

Prank Call
Received a call today from a man ID ing himself as Captain Nathan King, saying our granddaughter with a friend was riding in a car that had drugs in the trunk, so they had to arrest the girls. They put a girl on the phone who sounded like our GD but was crying profusely as a disguise I suppose. Like non-disclosed above they wanted $4000 Cash sure through cards that could be purchased at CVS pharmacy. I said I would get back to him and then called our granddaughter's father who is also an attorney. He had heard of this scam, and said his daughter was at school and would have her call me, which she did about 10 minutes later. Whew. Glad I did not panic.

We received a fraud call demanding $3,000. They used a faxcimile voice that sounded like one of our family members, and knew our unlisted phone number. This is a pretty sophisticated scam, They listed this phone number, 855-488-6576, to send money.
