FRAUD don't send any money or give any of your information

Just out of curiosity, why did you wait for 3 years before replying to a post from 2011?

This is no longer a number to "ABR FIRM", "ADR COLLECTIONS" or "NORTHERN ASSETS RECOVERY SERVICE". This is now a phone number to the "COMENITY BANK" for Victoria's Secret. They never leave a message on your voicemail which is very annoying to me. If I don't know the number that is calling me and they don't leave a message, they don't get an answered line or a return call. I did finally call them back one day and I made a payment that I had simply forgotten about and I informed them of my disappointment in not receiving a voicemail when they call.
So, not a bill collector in a sense but a bank who just wants a payment on your VS account.  

I just got a call on my cell phone from "unknown" at 877-374-4785.  The guy said he was "Charles Tillman" from the process summons division.  He went on about a breach of contract and a bad check.  I asked him again what company he was with and he just repeated that he was with the process summons division.  I knew I didn't write a bad check, plus I know how the system works when it comes to process servers, warrants, litigation, and criminal vs civil actions.  I simply hung up on the bottom dweller.  He called back and left a voicemail basically repeating himself, left a reference number in case I wanted to call back and get info about the plaintiff, etc. and ended with I "have been officially notified."  It's all a bunch of crap and falls under illegal debt collection practices. The sad thing about all this is there are those out there who receive these type of calls and get scared into responding.

I watched a documentary exposing these type of illegal practices.  Bottom dwelling debt collectors basically say they get good enough results with these type of tactics that the few who actually do complain and file reports resulting in hefty fines don't compare to the money they collect from the others.  One thing I would suggest is when they do call and carry on illegally, ask repeatedly for their information, if they fail to give it to you then simply say: "so you're refusing to provide information that identifies who you are?"  Then let them know that you're recording the conversation and will be filing a report with the attorney general's office.

Now to file a report with Greg Abbot (TX Attorney General).

I received a phone call today saying they will serve papers on me in reference to a bill I owe.
The person was very rude and insisted that I make a down payment on this bill.

I got a call for an old employee of mine. This Michael Stevenson guy called and left a message for an ex employee of mine. Stating that he needed to call about case 55273-5256. That it was about a check. The agent that called my personal number had the nerve to leave a full detail of why they were looking for my ex employee. I can't believe that these bill collectors think this is legal. When I called them they got stupid and did not know all of sudden what I was talking about.

Yes I am receiving a call from Angela DiAngelo as well. It is so bad she is calling me at work and cell.  Now she has threatened me with sending a notification to my job and home address. Then ends the call with "you have been officially notified". They claim its from a bad check. Its know telling how old that is. I havent written a bad check in years and since then I have filed a Chapter 7. Angela if you can read this keep waiting on it HUNNY!

I got the Charles Tillman message too, at my place of business.  They said they would come up to my work and serve me here.  I would love to know more information so I can send them a cease and desist letter.

I have been getting the same call from a Melissa Lombardo, about a lawsuit against me. She refused to ask questions about who she is representing, who and what is the original debt amount. She keep stating it is against federal law to give that information out, really! After getting completely annoyed I called the number given with a different phone. Northern Asset Recovery Services, I called an a representative was very rude after giving me the company name. Refused to give the address but I googled them.

Got a call from ***Charles Tillman***  said I had a warrant out for my arrest....they were trying to serve it.  Would pass on any information to the attorney in Tarrant County.  I am a police officer, this is a debt collector, they do not serve warrants, nor do attorneys.  They will also not call you.  If you have not received a certified letter by mail, tell them to cease and desist....they have also called our police department and will get rude and tie up emergency phone lines which is against the law.  Turn them into your attorney general and the better business bureau.  If you live in Texas, Greg Abbott, Attorney General, has zero tolerance for this stuff.

my experience was simliar to the one describe above.  Someone trying to collect on debts that were cleared through my Bancrupty over 15+.  The caller was Angela di Angelo.  Calls to get updated info, and will not let you know who she is collecting for.  Gives a number to call back 855-497-7278 and a case number.  When you begin asking her to state on who's behalf she is collecting she becomes very nervous and pauses. She asked me to verify my address she should have this if she is collecting from someone I got credit from.

Rec'd a really static line stating Private, which is how my home line shows up. I couldnt hear them so i hung up. Then i get another call straight to voicemail from a Mellissa Lombardo trying to collect on a debt with a debtor name from over 12+yrs ago that had been paid & settled. I've learned a bunch of low-life collectors are hardpressed to get $$ on old or already paid debts that have actually gone past the statute of limitations just hoping some moron will pick up the call and give them their $$. She ended the voicemail stating 'you have officially been notified as of 8/01/2011.' Once i have her company info i'm filing a cease & desisit.

Called my workplace today and was extremely rude to our receptionist. He said something about needing to serve papers, mentioned a case number, but refused to leave a voice mail.
