I get so tired of these annoying calls from companies that leave no message and hang up when you answer.

called at 1:04 pst on sat, november 3.  no message.

11/ 3 caller addressed me by name and then hung up.

sorry  el.   No body on this board is affiliated with the DNC,  nor are they the person who is calling you.
This board is for sharing information about unwanted callers in hopes of preventing telephone  scams as well as any other information that we can.

I also got the call, but I didn't mind the call, Why, because I bought a Digitone Call Blocker.  www.digitone.com The first time they call, it rings my phone and the call comes through. I then block the number and the next time they call, my phone doesn't even ring and the blocker hangs up on them. You can even block entire area codes. I have it setup to block any incoming calls with the 855 area code. The blocker keeps track of all calls, good and bad ones. Then I like to check to see who got hung up on just for fun like I am now.

You need to buy one of these, you?ll like it. No monthly fees either

As they are listed as a "charity" these low-life's do not have to comply with the DNC list.
If our government really cared about us consumers and the number of harrassing calls we receive, they never would have made exceptions (charities, survey's, political, etc.) to the DNC list.

Get a call blocker like Digitone.com to eliminate these annoying calls. You can block area codes, like 855, exchanges, or individual numbers. I bought mine several months ago and I love it.

Same here. We never answer numbers we don't recognize. When our answering device picks up a dial tone is recorded. Robo calls. Tired of getting them.

This sucks.  These annoying calls are every single day.  Sometimes twice.  I do not answer and they never leave a message.  Oh yea DNC list must be in the circular file.

the # 855-530-7778,,,I called it back and it said the # was on hold,,, called AT&T,,the operator knew nothing not surprising ,,about the #,,she said I will connect you to a supervisor,,supervisor never answered,,,own investigating,,the # is using our #'s as a bridge to another #,,,and the only way it can connect is if you answer or have an answering machine,,don't answer and turn off your answering machine,,it boils down to we are paying for someone else to use our #'s,,,also I looked it up on Area codes,, and it is US/Canada,,this non-use # has been in effect since 2006,,,you can get a copy of area codes listing, by number @

Call come in from 855-530-7778 constantly through the day. No one there. Thankfully fax machine answers. Please find out who they are and stop them

did not answer, as I suspected odd area code, format.  Yes, as I googled #, this site and others popped up

Listed as "Toll Free Caller". Did not leave message on answering machine. Charities and political organizations are exempt from no-call list.

I answered said they were from the autism foundation, wanteds me to mail out letters, I hung up on them.

"Don't answer any numbers that you don't recognize."

Said hello - dead silence and then a hang-up.  What an incredible nuisance.

Advice: get caller ID and a voice record-able answering machine that you can hear while a message is being left. Don't answer any numbers that you don't recognize. It's really that simple.

If you have to answer: LISTEN, wait for the caller to ID themselves. If you don't like what you hear - say nothing, absolutely nothing and just hang up. Your phone is your tool, nobody else's - remember that.  

Our number used to belong to a business. We still get faxes and calls for them. I just ignore them. If they can't figure out why they aren't getting replies then it is really their problem isn't it?
