This person will say you applied and received money from a payday loan and you did not pay back as promised (what a joke) the person continues to say that you must report on such and such date or risk an arrest warrant, When person left message they will ask you to call 714.459.5143

I have been getting calls about some loan I supposedly took out in 2008. They said I committed fraud by having the loan attached to my bank account then closing the account before the loan was paid in full. Not fully remembering 2008 I looked up my credit report, no loan to be found. The statute of limitations on fraud for most states is 4 years after discovery. A one year extension of the discovery rule may apply if it is within reason that the party supposedly defrauded is completely ignorant of the action. The number calling me is 1-855-967-6268

I just got a phone call today saying that I wrote out bad checks and If I dont call back by the end of today to settle this matter their going to issue a warrant out for my arrest.  She also mentioned an address I use to live at over 10 yrs ago.

If you had a bad check out, the bank would have notified you and you can also check on that with the bank since it would be on file. Never pay money just because some bozo calls and says you owe. There's too much extortion scamming going on now day's to just accept someones word and the FDCPA laws are clear. They have to provide proof via snail mail.

I'm an idiot! I had a bad check out in 2007 and Mr. Roach called me telling me they are getting ready to issue a warrant. So like a fool, I give him my info to take half the payment out and the rest out in 2 weeks. They took the exact amount they said out, and my bank statement shows Thomas & Williams. I'm now confused as to whether they are real or not......but to be safe I've cancelled the next payment coming out. I just think it's a scam!! I'll update soon.

I've gotten phone calls and now in Febuary and March they've been e-mailing me with what is suppose to be an arrest warrant with a letter head of an eagle an United States District Court printed on it.Accusing me of check fraud and today OMG! Money laundring(sp).It even has a Case Number.I have FREAKED out.After I realized it was a scam,I returned a call and ask them questions,like whom is original debt owed?They said name I didn't know and I became rude when they spoke my bank name and numbers and the woman said aren't we Miss Sassy.I replied F@#k You.Give her my attorney number,Oh she didn't want to hear that.Please be aware of these scam also to your e-mail address.I went to my bank and change my account.I've even had them hit my bank account!Thank goodness I've been with bank for over 15yrs.And they returned my funds and helped me.

Received a call from them today at work stating that I have a complaint filed against me. They had my home address, home phone, email and last four of my social. Told me that he has tried mailing, emailing and calling me on my home phone to notify me. He was very hard to understand and I had a bad gut feeling so I hung up on him. Mean while a co-worker looked the number up and found all these complaints. They called back with in a minute and my boss picked up, she told them that I am not allowed to take personal calls at work and reamed them out. They called back several more times, once I was away form my desk and my boss pretended she was me and asked what they wanted and they said just to notify me and someone would be at my house at 5:00 today.  She then told him that we did a background check on myself and there was nothing there or pending, he got all flustered.  Then he stated that he wanted to talk to my boss because she was rude to him and now he wants to harass her, she stated that she looks forward to his calls LOL. They have called back a few times since. I don't know how to make them stop.

I received a call today stating I have a old check I never paid thru Cash Advance of America and I will have a warrant with my local Sheriff dept if it isnt paid. Azazingly my friend works for that company as a Dist Mgr and said thats BS adn its fraud.I contacted the local Sheriff dept and he said it was a fraud to be careful..So people be aware of these people .. the number that called me was  855-890-2928 Arthur and gave me a case number and my old address. Sheriff dept said that it was bogus and several people have been calling in.

i received a call at work from these people. never called them back.  isnt it illegal to cal your place of business. not sure how they found out my place of employment anyway.

I receive calls daily saying the same thing, first if anything to do with social security fraud, file a complaint as I did, similiar calls, keep filing, file police report and BBB, also file a report with the FBI, this is a violation as my credit is good.  Everytime they call keep filing reports with the above agencies, they will stop in time, but pass this along to anyone you know, even ask around to friends, etc,. the more people that file, they will get caught and we can all laugh, or if they persist maybe we should try a website to get as many people as possible and file a a major lawsuit against these companies, scams can be stopped but people have to unite as I suspect there are many or the above agencies can trace them in the big spy database they have and pinpoint there location.  Good Luck...

Hi, my husband and I certainly have bad credit and we.certainly fell for the payday loan scam.   We are currently in arrears for the past 4 years.  My husband owes 75 and I owe a couple hundred.  He received a call from a debt collector claiming bank fraud and threatening 90 days jail time.  She said if he wasn't going to pay 400 right then that she was going to contact authorities and they would seize him at home or at work. I've read the previous posts and am comfortable with what we originally thought...court, summons, etcetera, but would appreciate some feedback...thanx!!! Heidi1231x@gmail.com

This is a bunch of fraudulent nonsense. You're obviously a part of the scam, Mr. I took out a $1,000 loan and forgot about it. How can anyone forget they took out a $1,000 loan. I pray that the good Lord forgive these scam artists and stop this scamming business from deceiving and swindling innocent people out of their hard earned money. I got a call from 1-916-259-9447 He ask for me by name. Then when I would not tell him who I was he got aggressive with his tactics. I told him he was a telemarketer and that my number was on the National Do Not Call Registry. He said I do not care just confirm you are "insert name" person. I said Sir you are being very unprofessional and I do not believe you are of the United States. When he got childish and told me "I do not believe you are of the United States I do not understand you. I said sir "Enjoy your desert country and take me off your list." he proceeded to harass me and yell "Just confirm this is you." I said "Sir, have a good day and I am reporting you and your number to the United States Government." He started yelling "I do not care I am with Law Offices of ...." I do not even remember the name. I hung up on him. Never giving him any information. I advise others not to give anyone information.

I am 83 years old and I continue to get calls from this number early in the morning about 7:00 am and they don't leave any kind of information nor do the ask for anyone in particular. I am afraid to answer because they sound so threatening and anger y.

Im sick of this to we need to stop them now they are emailing me saying that there is a warrent out for my arrest if I dont give them 888 dollars to an ezpay day loan with I dont have they will not send me any information on when it was to have been taken out and to what bank account it was placed in to. She says she is Kristina Rowland and they cannt call me any more i dont have a phone I had it disconnected. Also in my spam mail I am getting emails with here is your arrest papers I dont even open them up Its in my spam.Just to let you guys know what is been happening to me. Just got a call from a woman at this Thomas & Williams and she was so rude. After I told her I didn't know this debt she was talking about, I never heard of the National Group, she got all upset and started yelling at me. When I calmly asked her why she was yelling at me, she said cause I'm twisting things around. Really? She wanted my address, but I didn't give her any information cause it didn't seem right. If she got my debt from that National Group she definitely has their information. When I asked for their phone number she said she has no phone number or contact for them. I want something in writing so I can see what she's talking about and I have a paper trail. I asked her not to call me at work again and she said she will continue to call me at work cause that's the number I gave them. I know that it is illegal for her to call me again at work if I asked her not to. If I hear from that office again, I need to file complaints,  I did get an address from her in Atlanta, GA.

These guys called & left a message on my dad's answering machine saying I needed to take care of a returned bank payment.  Of course my dad called me, all concerned & worried.  I tried calling the number back & got no answer.  What kind of law firm doesn't answer their phone?

They are predators wanting your bank information...dont do it. I contacted the Atty Generals office. Different people will call and say the other one is no longer with them. Pile of crap

I also spoke to Errold Jones Sr, He was calling for my friend saying he was involved with a lawsuit for a bounced check and my name was involved in the suit.  I told him I didn't believe him and I looked up his number while he was on the phone.  I know this is a scam, my friends have never had a pay day loan, and since the day the year the said he took out the loan they have bought a house.  What a scam, don't give them information, I just feel bad for anyone who buys into it, you always have to be on the look out.

I received a call also about a check I wrote for a payday loan in Oregon State. These idoits obviously bought this debt and began collecting. The were crafty in getting my unpublished phone number I have through Comcast cable. They debt they were trying to collect on is way past its statue of limitations to collect, so obviously wasting their time.

Secondly, they can not request a warrant for your arrest. They threatened me for couple years and their threats were empty, Nothing will happen, they are totally full of crap - I dont care what they say on this thread or tell you on the phone - It's merely a threat tactic. Period. It doesnt happen ... In my case, I would have been an easy target for them, since they knew exactley where to find me and noone ever contacted me besides thier moron "Chief Investigators" trying to sound all firm and intimidating.. LMAO!! The only law that exisit is if they serve you with the debt summons to respond, provide you with proof of the actual debt details after you request it, then they request a motion for judgment hearing and serve you with this summons and which will include the court date. Now, after all this and you do not show up for this court date, THEN in rare cases, they can request a BENCH warrant for FTA ) Failure to appear ... basically, a contempt of court charge - since you did not show up!

Trust me .... I know I am correct, I have done A LOT of reasearch and additional due diligence on this matter - Do not let them bully you  into believing thier bs warrant and arrest lies. Also, to block thier phone number(s) on a land land - pick up your receiver .. dial *72 and it will prompt you to put your numbers you want to block  from them (up to 20) for free. On your cell you will have to subscribe to a Privacy Star app - 2 bucks a month to block them, --- it was worth it to me!

Yes I got a message from a agent Morgan.  This is the second round with these people.  They started this back a few months ago, calling, threatning to have me arrested- even called my mother in another country and pretended that they had a job to offer me and could not get in touch with me.  They were rude and abusive.  I called ALL of my creditors and asked if they had ever done business with these people or were currently doing business with them.  Guess what the answer was- they said NO and do NOT give them any money.  So I called them back and the woman said WHEW you called back in the nick of time we were just about to have you arrested.  I said - OH GREAT- arrest me- please- I have always wanted to be arrested- when are they coming?? I told her I had the coffee on for them and was waiting for them.  Then I told her I was recording the call and she PITCHED A FREAKING FIT!!! She called me everything she could think of then hung up.  

A month later they are trying the same scam again with an agent Morgan.  I called them AGAIN- and the woman who answered said this is a legitimate company and blah blah blah- these people are the lowest lifeforms on the planet.  I have been begging them to come arrest me for months now- I even sent them an email- PLEASE ARREST ME- nothing- even when you call their bluff they do not give in- I feel very sorry for these people.

They are using Thomas Williams LLC as the contact saying there's a returned check. My bank does not have any returned checks on file.
