Read this:
"It is illegal for companies doing business by phone in the U.S. to promise you a loan or credit card and ask you to pay for it before they deliver."
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0078-advance-fee-loans

So, if this supposed payday loan company asks for up-front money, you KNOW they are scammers.

In addition, payday loans are illegal in several states.  Check your state laws BEFORE applying online.

Actually, I have gotten several PDL's through Iggy and have been satisfied with the service and terms.  I only encountered one problem during my time with Iggy and they corrected it immediately and professionally.
Of course it will be somewhat higher, but that's the price you pay for having "challenging" credit.
Regarding the issue of paying down the principal; of course you can do that!!!  All they ask is that you call them 3 days prior to your due date because it is done systematically and they need that amount of lead-time for it to go in to effect.  Otherwise, it will take out the standard payment that was set up per the original agreement.  So in the case of SJHernandez (above), you would have had to pay the $90 finance fee that was due on the principal amount of $300, plus an additional $100 toward paying down the principal.  Then your next "due" amount would have been $200 - principal and $60 - finance.
And yes, of course, definitely read and make sure you are clear on how their payments work.  That should be a "given" in any sort of monetary transaction.  But their system isn't that complicated.

So first things first. This place is NOT a scam. Anyone posting that is likely 100% misunderstanding the reason they are getting the call or are in flat out denial (it's also possible someone applied and gave them a fake number that belonged to another non-associated person).

Iggy Loans will contact you if you submit an application for a loan on a "network affiliated website". If you get turned down for a traditional loan your application gets referred to payday loan lenders. I did this same thing. Really didn't shop around and accepted a PDL with these people for $300.00 with a fee of $30 for every $100 borrowed.

Now most other PDL companies will let you pay down your principal at any time which in turn will reduce the fees you have to pay on your due date. NOT this company. I just called them to pay down $100 on my $300 loan which would have brought my fees down to $60 rather than the $90 on the next payment date. The person I spoke with over the phone said no one in their company could take a payment like that and that it could cause a double debit on a customer's account. She was really nice but the answer she gave me was total crap. I have used tons of PDL's over the years and have never had a problem with paying down some of my principal early until these people.

They will take your extra money WITH your payment on the due date. I went back and read the documents and it actually says this in there... I'm super disappointed that I didn't catch this sooner because I didn't fully read the documents I got.

Long story short, if you are looking for a Cash Advance or Payday Loan do not use Iggy Loans. It turns out to be way more expensive even in the short term than with most other Payday Loan companies. Also make sure you read everything they give you.
