I am also receiving threatening calls from these people regarding a loan I supposibly took out.  They called my immediatelte supervisor and she inturn related the message to me with a number to call back.  They told her that they were an investigating committee and needed to talk to me asap. I called the numnber and spoke to someone with an Indian (India) accent and I heard lots of talking in the background.  They would not give me the name of the payday loan company or phone number for me to call to find out about this loan I supposibly took out and that I have not paid.  They also told me that if I do not pay, they will take me to court and I would have to pay $4,000 +.  Accordingly to them I owe them $638.00 late fees, etc.  for a $300.00 loan.  I told the person I spoke with that if they bother my place of employment again, I will call the better business bureau and contact a attorney.  They told me as soon as I have the money to pay them to avoid court, call them back and they will do a check over the phone.  How wild is that!  Yes it is a scam.  I will get to the bottom of this, because I do not let people who are sam artist get the better of me.  They are STUPID to mess with me.  I will be sure that they go to court and pay me for harrassment.  If we stick together, we can get rich on them.  lol

I talked to an attorney that is a close friend. He said when and if they call you at work - you have to tell them that you do not have to talk to them. Then ask for a call back # and tell them that your attorney will be calling. That will usually shut them up. I found out also that this NAtionwide is a scam company. They are getting the #'s from anyone that has ever taken out a payday loan. And they say that they are the collection agency for that company. But they are NOT. Do NOT TALK TO THEM OR GIVE ANY INFORMATION>

I reported them to the FTC and my local Attorney General's office... The Attorney General's office laughed in agreement and was pleased I called... so was the FTC.. Hopefully people who get these calls will do the same!!! Let's harass them back people!!!

I just read online, that if they give you the wrong company name you can file against them and actually receive compensation.  I will post the link when I find it again.  I have been trying to call someone over there to even know what this is about but I have been on hold for almost an hour.  AND They aren't supposed to tell anyone in your office about a debt owed that is against the law.

The same people called my work today and asked my boss what the policy was for serving papers at work.  Then when I called them back they were very rude and abusive and told me that I owed them money because they had purchased a debt from another company and the company name they gave me was not even the correct company.  I told them that they would have to contact my attorneys office and he refused to let me call him back with the attorney's address, and then he hung up on me.  And I called back 5 times before he did not hang up on me and he told me that I had taken out a loan fraudulantly because i had filed bankruptcy 3 years ago and it was against the law to borrow  money with in 4 years of filing bankruptcy.  DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE ANYTHING. THEY ARE NOT A LEGITIMATE COMPANY ACCORDING TO MY ATTORNEYS OFFICE AND THEY ARE PULLING INFO FROM PUBLIC RECORDS AND TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK OFF OF IT.

I have the same caller but they have been leaving messages with my brother and his wife i am about to go off on them anyone know what kind of place this is

same here, I have gotten 2 calls from them at work telling me they would be there in 15 mins to serve me with papers. No one has ever shown up! I am assuming this is a scam, but to call me at work is pretty scary.

I just received a very aggressive voicemail from an Evan and he told me he had a summons for a charge filed against me and I needed to call him back with my information to deliver it. I was about to call him and give it to him until I read your comment. THANKS!  How do I report this?

Same here. Keep getting threatning calls, and messages on my cell and at work from these people claiming I have a case against me for a paydayloan? Anasi group? Nationwide is the debt collector. I don't owe these people anything. Last payday loan was 3yrs ago. They claim they want to serve me papers, and that they need my address plus other information. If they need to serve papers why should they need all this info? Don't give them any additional information, change your phone number and file a complaint. They are not following rules for debt collection , and are scammers.

Who Are these dirtballs? They leave maessages stating that I have charges in claim. When I call the number back there is nothing-not a ring or anything. The message left was from Laura Davis. NO CLUE_
