I received a call from "Global" on 10-9-2013. They called my work number and talked to my boss stating they would serve papers at my place of employment BEFORE they even spoke wtih me and I did not even know what they were calling about. Because I was SO busy at work and could not take the chance, I gave them my Credit card number just to get them off my back. When things calmed down, I called them back asking for an address and they would not give it to me. I have traced them to Tempe, AZ (I think) I am so upset right now and do not know what to do. I am definitely going to report to AG. They did not handle this correctly at all!!!!

They violated the law when they left a message and disclosed check fraud.   That tells you up front that they are just a bunch of thieves.   Make your employer aware of the scammers and that you cannot get them to stop calling.  It then becomes a problem for your employer.    Termination without cause is illegal and an employer can get his/her shorts/panties sued off.

Global is one of the major stink weeds in the art of shady collection tactics.  They have been under investigation with the FTC for their illegal collection methods.
Demand validation of the debt,  in writing,  via usps mail.   Demand their physical and mailing address,  local phone number,  and validation of their right to claim and collect in your state.  These sewer suckers will try to collect on a pre-civil war debt if they can get you to pay.   If they don't validate the original debt and their right to collect,  you don't owe them a dime.

I just received a call from 855-645-8012  Company called Global out of southern California couldn't give me a address on where located nor an email address,  Her name was Marinda. Didn't sound like a legitmate company but wanted to make payments to them.
