Received a call two days ago stating that they were sending someone to my house to serve me papers and if I wasn't there they were going to file it without my signature. I was here all day and no one showed. Today I got a voice mail from some lady named "Martha" claiming that she was from my county's court and needed a signature, she left the number to call back as 855-680-7079. I called my county court and they said they have no paperwork filed with my name anywhere on it, nor does a Martha work there that would make calls.To top it off they are unsing my maden name, which hasn't been used for over 3 years!!!!

Court advised I contact FTC, FCC and the attorney Genreal.

Recv'd a call from a Martha Wagner.  The caller id shows this to be from a fax machine in my counties district judge?s office.  I called the judge?s office and they checked the county registers for this person, nobody working with that name in my county.  They took the information about my call using their fax number.  This Martha Wagner gave the 855-680-7079 number.  She states something about someone coming to the house today with papers, have been here all day - and nothing.  Stated I would be marked as refusal, whatever that means.  All lies.  Scare tactics.  I also alerted my local police department, and I called the State's Attorney General?s office.  This is against the law in Texas to be acting and using the phones to threaten people.  As there are several calls this week, that equals several violations of the Fair Debt Collections Act.  I don?t think these people care one bit.  They seem to enjoy doing what they are doing to people.  If I could trace their ID, and credentials, I would do more to go after them.  They use VOIP technology, which means no address, nothing by mail, email, or fax.  Looks like just a lot of phone threats from New York, go figure.  I will update if someone actually comes to the house.  I live close the police department, should be interesting.  I hope this will help others.

Just got a call that I owe $500 to a check cashing place that I never even been to.... I'm giving this number to my Lawyer to check into this!!!! They were so unprofessional over the phone that I immediately knew something wasn't right.

Got a call today and they said that I had to call the local District Attorneys office fraud dept.  Caller claimed she was Martha Stewart with Spiegal, Bennet and Assoc.

They said that my defaulted on a loan. I have no idea what to believe. They said my mom could be charged with a class A felony. Prayer this is fake.

I was told that I owe a debt to a payday loan company and that I would receive a visit from a service officer to come to court if I did not cooperate. Was instructed to get a prepaid debit card and make payment arrangements. Further stated that I should call back by noon with my intentions. Further stated that it was a civil case as well as a felony case.

If you got a letter from them, it goes to the local postmaster since its a case of fraud and extortion scamming.  Do report the calls to your state Attorney Generals office and the FTC & FCC.  Many laws broken here on these types of calls.

this company is harassing me. I know a scam when I see one. I was already scammed 2yrs ago. I was very fortunate to get my money back. so I trust no one. they called me constantly and they cant tell me who they are collecting for. the company that I think I owe assured me that they do not use these tactics to collect a debt. and does not participate in this vulgar behavior. they even went sooo far as to send me a fake  #@! letter telling me that if I didn't pay good luck in court. the address and the area codes don't match and a reputative company would be listed. im not paying you JACK!!!!!!! get a REAL JOB and stop scamming people. been there done that!!!!!! im reporting you to the ftc and the bbb!!!!! first they told me they have video surveillance footage standing in line then they said I did it online. LIARSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

Scam. contacting the FTC. Said I have a debt I do not have. I called twice for an address, both times I was given different addresses. One at 250 main street in Buffalo, NY and a second address at 626 North French Rd Amherst, NY. I told them I had an attorney involved and she quickly put me on the no call list. Still keeping my attorney involved. From what I know, they seem to be a collection agency posing as a law firm.
