This is the same guy that contacted everyone in my family except me... Fishy.. He threatened to come to my home and job, but on their phone.. What kind of mess is this... Bull S*&%!! Plus he called my cousin's boyfriend and left a threatening message as if he was calling my phone!! That's just crazy....

WATCH OUT FOR  855-702-4166, the call is unknown, but a Veronica Hunson leaves that numbers with a pitiful  trying to be legal but a little threatening msg. I'd love for her to show up at my door being that I suppose she resides in NY in which I don't. C'mon down Veronica, I'm  a Texas gal and I'll show what's for you silly lying thieving dog. That old saying, "Put a fox in the hen house and he'll chicken for dinner everytime" I know you get my meaning.

You can file a suit, but it isn't worth it. The best thing to do is change bank acct and CC. It seems to me that you will continue to pay more than the thief said. Close you bank acct fella and get a new one plus credit card if you have to. And yes I am sorry to say, you've been had. I  almost fell for this scam, I went back and listen to the msg three time that a Veronica hunson left and something told me to go look them up and I did. This is a SCAM.  Come to your house and job..Lol! Let her bring it on and she will rue the day because I owe this company Nothing, Nada. Change before you are bankrupted.

Sorry you are going this, but stand your ground. I am sure Phillips and Roths have moles on this site trying to make it seem like others on here are lairs, but a woman name Veronica hunson call me with an unknown#  and then left this # 855-702-4166 to call some mediator and something else about  a PR? She stated something about appearing in court and to call to discuss this matter. I found it weird that she said she can come out to my house or to my job? First of all I owe this company nothing and 2nd, why call a mediator # then some PR, then she will come out to my house or job? This woman must think she's speaking to Sam Sausage Head? I think this is debt collectors company playing on folks emotions and to think of the many people who forked over all their personal information. I will not give over any personal info of mine to a company such as this when I don't owe any collection agency. I am reporting this company and to the FTC. So you stop worrying and rest, these people are slimey gutter rats and they are just working on your nerves. Give them NOTHING!!--- Last but not least, all you Phillips and Roths moles posting here trying to make it seem like that SCAM company of yours is real. You can kiss my pretty smooth &*%$# a***! Clue one. Saying they work for a law office and demanding money is a big red flag. Also illegal as heck. Call your ag office and if you can get their address call their state ag office.
Alot of scammers saying they are attys and what not when they are nothing but scammers and ripoffs.

You know what the legal definition of a "service date" is? There isn't one. Same for "Certified Notice of Intent to Appear in Court" and  "Release Order". What they really would like to say ? but can't because it would be very illegal ? is something like "summons" or "arrest warrant". Those kind of lies could land them on jail so they use terminology that's kind of similar to real legal terms hoping you'll be frightened. *That's* what clearly indicates it's a scam.

Just got a voicemail from Tim Moran of P & R Mediation.  Message said that I have a "service date tomorrow" and that he will visit my home and/or work to obtain the "Certified Notice of Intent to Appear in Court".  He also stated that he wants a "Release Order" and that I should call him back at 855-720-4166.  No idea what this is about, Google search does not bring up any reputable business with that phone number and this list clearly indicates a scam.  

I got a call the number was blocked but the mans name was Tim Moran said he was an attorney hired by P & R Mediation and that if he didn't get a release form from them stating that I have contacted P & R Medication that he will serve me at my office or home, well that's fine I recently moved and guaranteed they don't have my current home address and my office is locked and I'm the only one that works in my building... this has happened before I made a couple calls looked up the company names etc..  scam for the most part is what I found.   I can tell you if an attorney can have a court date and serve you with papers they wouldn't call you and warn you first you would get them via certified mail or they would just show up they wouldn't scare you into calling P & R Mediation first... that's just my thought....  anyway I'll blow this one off like I've blown it off in the past just a different day and a different person calling...  If he had a court date I would be able to search for it period...  just got the call yesterday and then another one today... saving the voice mail this time will stop answering blocked numbers until he stops calling...  

I have gotten two calls from someone named Pat Kelly, and 1 from Tom.  Pat Kelly said he was from a different company other than P&R, but I couldn't call him back.  I had to call P&R directly.  That was the first sign that something wasn't right.  Both very pushy and when I asked why I was never notified of this "loan" that I have no record of, I was told since it went to a collections account, the paperwork probably just got pushed under the rug.  They are really annoying, and I am sick of getting these calls.  The number I have is 855-213-2470

I have been getting calls from these fools forever.  I turned them into the FTC and called them back and told them to go ahead and show up at my house the only thing they will get there is a big hello my from my 12 gauge shotgun!!!!  Called yesterday said if I didn't call by a certain time they were going forward got another call today they are going  to come for me on Monday.  The address to my job is a postal annex so they won't find anything there and if they come to my house he best bring his own body bag.  And not only that I don't have to answer my door I"m a US Citizen and there is this thing called your 4th Amendment right unless the punk has a warrant for your arrest you don't have to open your door to anyone.
But this same guy has called me using different names also this month he is Matthew Conway.  Guess he got the "con" part right.

they call me today they had my phone, address and some of my social security number, and stated they were going to locate me and serve me. How do they get all that info? I am pissed.

I got a call like all these and so did some relatives and friends and MY JOB. I was told to call 855-432-1095.

Not having taken out a pay day loan, and being rudely told "good luck in court" I got pissed off and did some internet snooping. And having a brother in law who is a lawyer didn't hurt helping me find out some information.

This Tom Carcetti is played by Joel Seifert and Phillips and Roth is merely a collection agency using this ruse in an attempt to scare people into paying back these pay day loan. Some may be real, some may be mistakes and some people may be the victims of fraud/id theft. Whatever the case, the balances owed should be seriously questioned. I was told these type of "agencies" are infamous for "juicing the accounts" which I guess is this era's version of the butcher putting his thumb on the scale.

So as I wait for Joel Seifert to send his thugs to have me sign for my court papers, I urge all of you to make sure you are repaying a loan you actually took out, and the money you owe is in fact the money you owe.

I got a call from these people a couple days ago from a blocked number. Be aware that anyone threatening to have you thrown in jail is violating the law and YOU can take THEM to court and sue them. Know your rights. Sounds like these people are pushing the envelope on legality.

I have received as of today May 7 four threatning calls that I will be served on Tomorrow the 8th of May. Not sure what for but hey its whatever..I'm gonna wait for her to show up at my home or at my job and go from there...Her name is JENNIFER COLLINS...I called the number back and Tom answered quite frankly...Also everytime Jennifer calls sounds like she is outside driving...If she comes to my Job she better have a letter of original debt with my signature and ID or its not gonna go well for her. I'm just saying.

This company and called is a total fraud. I told them to come and serve me papers and they never show up. Also most states you can check court records to see if your being sued. I have never been sued and never will. This Sean james needs to be stopped and have all of us on this site find out where he's at.

Take all your information to your bank IMMEDIATELY and explain what is going on. Tell them that you have been the victim of a fraud. Your bank can help you out.

Also, contact your state Attorney General office and ask for help. They WILL help you.

This is low life fraud that they are doing.

OK after reading all of these stories I am very upset because I've been had! In Jan I received a call (number blocked) from a Michael Ryder & informed me I needed to call Phillips & Roth that same day by "430pm" or I would be served papers n be arrested.  Said I owed a debt from 2010 from a payday loan for $695 & they had to tack on another $400 for legal fees ...I called Phillips & Roth n spoke to "Shawn James" ..he forced me to set up arrangements or they would follow through in having me arrested.  I am pretty certain I didn't have a payday loan that much (and 3years later because I usually pay off all my debts with my tax return) ..well he made me 2nd guess myself.. so he's got my debit card number n have been taking a big chunk out every month.. total so far $725! 2payments left for April n May...since I am a single parent this whole mess caused me to be late on my mortgage n now I'm behind on that! I am blocking them from getting the last 2 payments! Can I get my money back?? the number I got was 1-855-806-6645.

They are fake. Called them back, asked for their address, which looks like a home, and then asked for the website, which Tom said was under construction. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING!!!

They started calling me last year. I saved the vm, funny thing is last year his name was Josh Lewis, this year its micheal santoro. Same voice of a middle aged black man. Same story as everyone else. SCAM

P and R have changed their number to 855-338-0220. Something just seems suspicious with the group.  Called 7 people in my family and while they did not out right threaten anyone, they didn't seem very professional. My suggestion to this so called business is to follow thru and serve papers to the individuals in question and stop harrassing friends, families or strangers.

I received a call from a Shawn James saying I had to call P and R mediation that day or i would be served papers to appear in court.  I called the office (phillips and roth) and was told by Nick that if i did not pay the debt that i would be charged with theft by deception and all kinds of other charges.  I didn't know at the time that this was an illegal collection tactic.  I don't know how I'm going to proceed from here smh

i received a call today from a guy named Sean. He left a message saying he received a claim in his ofc and i had to call the mediation ofc at 855-497-7276 (also gave a claim number) before Wednesday or he would be serving me papers at home or at work. I do believe this a scam as I have received any letters reguarding debts. I called the number got a recording that said thank you for calling Phillips & Roth. From what I have been reading its a scam I would like some advice on what I should do. I was told by an attorney to just ignore the call.

Jacob Klemel and Tom have called me too. Very threatening and very aggressive. Said I owed them $14,000 total or $2200 payoff. $3695 from my mom to totally pay off the debt too. Two payments of $2105.00 to wipe out the debt totally/  They call once a month and harass me for the money. They told me they were searching for me to serve me papers to go to court to collect this debt from me that I never-NEVER had anything to do with at all. I am on a fixed income on Social Security for cerebral palsy. I am fully disabled by my condition and have no involvement in a contract for a loan of any kind. This may be affecting my credit report and if so I will sue. I have lost sleep and worried over this situation for two months now. I am unable to understand why this continues to happen to me. I live quietly and carefully on a very strict budget-but I have loving family and friends who care to help when I need it. I have no need of any loans.

I also got a call from philips and roth law firm and a man named tom called me and threatened to serve me with papers and he also told my brother that he also owes money that we both used the same pay day loan company when i asked for proof of the debt that i owed he still has not sent me or my brother any proof of the debt owed he has also threatened to have us put in jail and has said that we will be served with papers in a few days

I work in IT for a bankruptcy trustee.  Got a call from "Michael Ryder" at home the other day about some debt I owed.  Not sure what the hell I owe...but whatever.  Decided to do some research on the company.  I looked up "Phillips & Roth" in our system as both a creditor and an attorney, and the name didn't show up.  You'd think that a legitimate collections company would have at least one reference in a system full of attornys and creditors.  In the immortal words of Mr. Rogers..."Can you say Scam?  Sure.  I knew you could."
