They may not need the validation to sue,  but they need the validation and proof to win. Show up in court and if there is no proof and validation,  DISMISSED!     Demanding validation is not to determine whether one owes a debt or not.  Hell, everyone knows if they owe a debt.
Demanding validation is everyone's legal right and a means to determine whether you have the cajones,   proof,  and what it takes to legally collect in court.  If you don't have validation,  no one owes you a damn thing.

Good morning Res.! It is just so gratifying to wake up to a new day & find a squirming bogus collector trying to legitimize his scam. Poor "Steven" here spent hours trying to form his post. Only to see it gutted like a fish. This shows the impact that we, and this site, can have on the scum-bags that engage themselves in the fraudulent debt collection industry. We truly do make a difference. We hurt them where it counts. In their wallets!
Keep up the good work and.....
Live Well.

What are you going to do when your victims gang up to sue you blind in a *real* lawsuit? Willow won't say it, but I will. No bullies chasing "debt" with illegal threats are going to show a strong hand when challenged on the merits of their claims. Your "original media" comes in thousand-sheet rolls and is safe for septic systems but isn't worth much else.

Why does "your company" refuse to provide a Validation of Debt letter, and a physical address for your offices?

You can use all of the flowery and obtuse language that you want, but when you put lipstick on a pig, you still have a pig!

If the debt is valid, nobody here will disagree that it *should* be paid.  Nobody here said the company was a fraud either (though the debt is in question).  In fact, what was said was "You are correct in your thinking that Wells Fargo owns Wachovia" and "Validate the debt" . No one is basing the legitimacy of the company off of opinions, nor did anyone say the company did not have the resources to pursue a judgement.

What are you going to do when they provide the original media from the bank and validate the debt to prove it is in fact that you left an outstanding debt?  And than use that same media as a valid cause of action to litigate against you. In other words, instead of expressing an opinion not a fact that this company is fraud, do your homework and make sure they really do not have the validation of debt (media) to be able to sue you. Because if it just so happens that all of you are wrong and they really do have the media and intent to sue; it would be safe to say you are all in big trouble and have a legal battle ahead of you. At this point you are free to contact the original bank (creditor) and follow the proper chain of title to verify the account is a charged off debt. If the current owner of the debt actually has intent to sue they are not obligated to provide validation of debt to the consumer unless subpoena through the court system.I am one of the administrative directors and I would like to advise everyone participating in this website that our company has full access to media and a strong network of attorneys that are specialist in the litigation of unpaid debt and breach of contract. My personal opinion would be to exam the facts before basing the legitimacy of a company on opinions. With that in mind, if you still believe our company does not have the proper resources to properly execute a judgment, than suit yourself.

Got a message from an Unknown number. It was Brook from a 'Process Service Verifications Office' and a reference to a property I own. She states that she has 'legal documents in the process of being served out to a property I do believe you own...' She request me call back to this number. After multiple calls I left a message. No one answers due to 'unusual high call volume.'

There are no ifs, ands or buts. This is a fraudulent attempt to collect on an invalid, time-barred or purely bogus debt. Simply demand a legitimate notice of validation be mailed (NOT e-mail or fax.) to you. As per federal regulations under the FDCPA. When they start squirming and making excuses...case closed.
Live Well.

They are trying to serve us legal documents. They called about a debt and said they are a law firm that is suing and already have a court date and was going to put a lien on our property, criminal charges, and garnish wages. I had an hour to call back and pay the $1,200 owed and they call off the people trying to serve us. Can they really do that?

I keep getting calls from blocked number and they finally left a message stating that they are making a second attempt to deliver something to me.  I have no idea of why they are calling me because I don't have any outstanding issues with anybody.  I do believe that this is a huge scam and I hope no one falls for it.

Got call from blocked number (female) left this 855 number saying about legal documents for 2 female names, and a case number.  I called called back gave the case number and a very angry man told me that if it want me then give me the number they called and he would remove it, I told him isn't the number in your file and he says this is a law office there are no files and if I won't give him any information he will have to disregard this call to which I  hung up the phone.
Very suspicious.  I put the names they left along with the tel no in spokeo and lo and behold scammers.
BTW. I had someone else call and the company goes by the name Regent Associate also on the scammers list I found on line
