For at least the last year, an illegal group of debt collectors have been terrorizing consumers, their family, friends, and employers threatening to arrest the individual of an unpaid loan or other debt (their generally don't even owe).  Be aware debt is a civil matter, not a criminal matter, and you can't be arrested.  The threaten a warrant if the victim does not pay a sum of money by the credit card over the phone.

Although when pressed the callers give the victim an address in Columbia South Carolina (usually a vacant lot).  They are actually out of the Charlotte North Carolina area.  The scammers are using the following business names

Kaufmann and Associates
Sanderson Blaine & Associates
McKenzie Reid Associates
Kennedy, Kline, & Associates

I received a call from th today and the company they said they represented was Vince Enterprises Ltd which is an online payday loan company. I did take out a loan with this company that eventually was filed o my bankruptcy. Anywho I did some research and Vince Ltd is closed by the Idaho dept of finace due to unethical practices. If the company is harassing you I would advise you to contact your local attorney general or FTC office.

These people have called me and now they're calling my daughter claiming to search for me. They call me defendant and are threatening to serve me papers and telling me to have my lawyer contact them. I have no he who they are and when I call back no one answers. This has been on going for several months and it's seriously stressing me out. How can I get this to stop???

Don't answer the call.. if they are going to file charges against you, you will be contacted by a sworn officer of the court, usually in person.   An investigator could be anyone that works for any law firm or private security company.

Your caller is a fraud. Probably one trying to fire up a new number. Watch what happens when you both see what's going to happen with this shot!

i got a called from this number and a lady name Jessica sutton left a message about a case in my home county that is be file against me and i don't know what to do and she said that she is  a investigator and that i have to call back this number to get  all the correct information to give to my lawyer who is this i need answer i think this a scam but i just want to make sure because i never been n trouble with the law and i need to know what is going on here she know my name and everything someone please help me get answer thank you also she said she was with Kaufman & a**.
