April 23, 2013, I was called and "Daniel Burke" left two messages on my phone. I called the number he gave (fast) 855-756-9461 and no one knew who he was. Just thought I would help.

The company Accuprep harrased me at my workplace making threats to show up and serve me with documents. The man on the phone suggests I call a number 866-426-6661 to prevent this. I called and they try to pressure you into making payment arrangements on a debt that is no longer active.

Please stop this harrassment!

I received the call yesterday on April 1, 2013 and this time the guy name is Daniel C. Burke and told me the same thing that he was coming to my place of business or my home and that I should have 2 form of ID....and that he was on his way.  They must understand that people are getting hip to all of these scammers and I just wish that SOMEONE would do something about it, its ridiculous.  I called the number 855-307-4941this morning and now all of sudden no one knows a Daniel Burke and the funny thing is the guy who answered the phone was the guy who called my work phone yesterday and left a message.  His voice is very distinct, its deep so I said to him so now ur not Daniel Burke.  He tells me that they don;t have a Daniel Burke working their.  Now wht they are doing is just ringing my phone and hanging up, when I answer the phone no one says anything.  Well I'm putting it out now to ALL FAKE A** COLLECTORS.......IF YOU CALL MY PHONE AND MAKE THREATS YOU WILL NOT GET A RESPONSE FROM ME AT ALL.  I DON'T TAKE TOO KINDLY TO THREATS ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU MAKE THREATS TO COME TO MY HOME OR MY PLACE OF BUSINESS THAT'S WHERE I DRAW THE LINE.  SO IF I WAS YOU (COLLECTORS) I WOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT CONTACTING ME AND MAKING THREATS.

I texted the number he called from and let him know that I called the police. Desk sergeant said to come in and file a report as this is a scam. This guys uses several aliases.  He threatens to show up and tells you to make arrangements with 855-756-9461 or he will go to your work. He called back the following morning from a different number and said his name was Mitchell Green. It is obvious it is the same guy. He is African American and has a very distinct voice.this time I could not text back at the new number he was using. In his newest message, he was rambling, sounded stoned and desperate. He said you better hurry because I am going to your HR department right now! If the damn a** knew what he was talking about, he would have known that I have been on unpaid medical leave for three years and have no company let alone an HR department. Stupid a** ghetto rat!
He must have multiple disposable cel phones. I texted the original and said,"so now your name is Mitchell Green?" I said to give it a rest because it is all over the internet about the Accuprep scam. I also said I was not going to get a Walmart green dot card or wire Western Union and did he know how stupid that sounded?
Needless to say, he never showed up, and there have been no further calls. Bummer because the cops were going to come if he showed up. If you get this call, let the dummy leave a message. Go to the police station and play the message for the desk sergeant. They will file a report and note for an arrest to be made if the stupid a** is dumb enough to show up at your door. Intimidation is against the law. Period. I have three calls on file where this guy lied about his identity, threatened me, and tried to extort money. Even if the creditor filed a lawsuit, it would get thrown out based on all of the violations and I would get up to 1k per violation.
Know your rights people.

Did he actually ever show up? He called me and threatened to show up and that I needed to give him two forms of i.d. First of all, I know somebody who owns a Currier service. They do not call you before coming over. Secondly,  a legit Curried is not involved in the details of what is in a delivery, they just deliver it. Also a process server does not ask for your id, and they do not need a currier to come with them to hand over legal documents. They also do not threaten you with, "I suggest you be home or we will return the documents as a refusal and the client will take action against you." I called the police and they asked me to come in and file a report. This is fraud. these people are using illegal tactics to collect on a charged off item. Legit collection companies must identify themselves before speaking to you. Both the cel number of "Jacob" and the 855 756-9461 are unregistered which means they are not legit. This is fraud and a scam

This guys a phoney.   This scam has just about run its course.  Jacob, or what ever his name is,  is trying to get you to panic and agree to a cash  settlement.  No doubt with a Walmart green dot prepaid card or via western union.  If he calls back,  tell him that you know its a scam and he can move on because you'll not hand over a dime.    Gosh I hate these vermin thieves....

Just received a call from "jacob". He threatened to come to my job and my house. He left this number, as the person(s) I needed to contact to "clear this matter up". I contacted the number and was very direct about the threatening and harassing manner of their "courier" company. They stated they "had nothing on file and that I was given the wrong number (I saved the message and listened to it again to verify that this number was the one given). They did state that they were a company called "Accuprep", but could not tell me any kind of details about what they specifically do. Seems like a b.s. fake bill collector.
