Actually that's a usa number and its calling on behalf of rogers to talk about your service and to get you to agree to add more services to your acct

They keep calling and leaving no message. Only a few seconds of almost silence, heavy breathing and background noise of some call center.  The text on the caller ID says Rogers Communication.

If they take the time to call, they should take the time to leave a message.

I just got a call today from 1855 760 4838 and when I answer they just hangup can someone please tell me where they are from. Because they have been calling once every hour.

If this is Rogers Communications then they need to identify themselves as such. All I get is "unknown caller" and I use Roger's Comms for phone, internet, and TV so there is no reason why they can't ID themselves.

Here is how they get your phone number.You go to a store when you buy something the clerk will ask you for your phone number and you give it to them  then they sell it to a telemarketer for the money.

No, it's a third party sales company hired on behalf of Rogers that works out of Ontario, Canada. They are sales solicit calls.

Enough is enough. Seriously! I get calls 4 times a day. I even have call manager application to block this number, but still no luck... Pretty frustrated!

This is a re-posting of a report I made for the phone # 647-495-9472 - some fart-knockers who also claimed to be Rogers.

If the CRTC and DNC can't keep these asshats from harassing us, it's time to harass them back.

If you have caller display and you don't recognize the number, answer with speaker phone.

Once established that you're listening to a scam, allow them to ramble on with their script by offering minimal encouragement ("yeah," "uh-huh," "OK") as you continue to work, read, browse or do housework. (I read background research on an article I'm writing while the call went on.)

Ask them to repeat things. Pretend you have difficulty speaking English. Pretend you're being constantly interrupted by your pet. Tell them you have to check the stove and you'll be right back. Etc.

The pièce de résistance: I pretended to pass the phone off to another person in the house and they had to start the pitch from the beginning. I even answered some of their questions with random words I eyeballed from assorted things on my desktop (a la Keyser Söze).

You'll be surprised how long they'll engage with you if they suspect there's even a whiff on interest in their scam. (Thieving scumbags are, by nature, quite stupid.)

The point is that every minute you keep these halfwits preoccupied is another minute they're not harassing other people. Think of it as protecting someone's grandma from being scammed.

I kept the d-bags at this number going for 5 minutes before telling them what I had done and thanking them for the entertainment. Next time, I'll shoot for 10.

I'd love to see other people posting how many minutes they were able to scam from the scammers.

It's the result of them using an auto dialer on a time limit.

"You may receive a telephone call where no one is on the other end: this is often referred to as a ?dead air? call. These calls are often the result of something called "predictive dialing." Some telemarketers use predictive dialers to place telephone calls or send faxes. A "dead air" or abandoned call will occur if a telemarketing representative is not available when the call is answered by the consumer. An abandoned call is a call that is not answered by a telemarketing representative within two (2) seconds."

Confirmed it is Zedd Solutions, but why would they 1) not leave messages and 2) not respond when phone picked up?

It is NOT a scam. It is Zedd Communications, a marketing firm that works for Rogers Communications.

I just received a call from them an hour ago and researched it.

This IS a scam that you should ignore, it's not Rogers!!! Every time they call me I do the same thing. Start signing that "this is a scam" and so on. Usually either I hang up on them first or they hang up on me. Here's the kicker... Works every time... When i call back the number right away, it plays the recorded message that " this number is no longer in service" which is clearly a scam, looking for any kind of info. If it's not a scam, you would be able to call them back any time, and frankly there would not be so many concerned people posting here :)

I Just got off the phone with Rogers, they did not make the call. They told me to ignore it, or next time ask to be put on the DNC list.

Don't think they're looking for payment, because they would talk to you right away when you answer the phone . In my case I have automatic payment, and nobody talked to me when I answered. The line went back to dial-tone after my second Hello !!

keep calling on my mobile device, i never answer.  so i blocked the number and now it just registers in a log file.
decided to try calling the number that called me.  turns out to be a marketing company calling on behalf of rogers communications.  in the recording, they offer a number to call to be removed from their list.

If it is Rogers, I certainly do not owe them a penny and I will be calling the proper accounting department  tomorrow morning. This call was received at 2046 0r 08 46 pm which means Rogers Accounting Department is now closed
